Compact SUVs although have a similar Space, their overy length is smaller than sedans. To consider this perspective, let's compare the ground clearance of 2 whe wheelars like activa. Their wheel base is small. To have the same ground clearance in the car, we will have to fit in tyres of very large diameters.

i own a honda city as well as ford ecosport. ecosport has HUGE advantage in approach angle compared to City. ecosport also has high-mount transmission breather, and the power steering motor is just below the steering wheel, so the ecosport has much higher water wading. so it's not just about the ground clearance.

Is this 165mm GC, laden or unladen (with or without passengers and luggage) ? If unladen is 165mm then, I guess with full load it will go down to 130mm I guess. Usually GC loss after full load is around 35mm.
If i put just one rubber lifter each in front tires, will it be okay? To add just a bit of ground clearance. I hope it will not affect the fuel consumption tho

It is just that the ground clearance of a sedan is sufficient for most driving conditions except few extreme off roading conditions. Therefore the extra ground clearance is redundant in usual day-to-day driving. Just for your benefit buddy u need to work on your English a bit. Lots of glitches there 😀

i am being an owner of hondacity 2020 can say it honestly that ground clearance is a big problem with this car. It touches at the bottom very often unless it is driven at a very very slow speed when moving over a speed breaker
Wow, the tail lights are looking more and more like BMW’s. I had a 2017 honda accord V6 (I live in the United States), and that generation was the first to have similar taillight design to bmw. Some of my dads friends even mistaked it for a bmw at night time when they didn’t look close enough!

Sedans have survived bad roads in India for several years. Now all of a sudden people are so concerned about ground clearance.

My point was that, sedans have been in the market from back when roads were even worse than the current roads. In 90's almost everyone had sedans only. Besides, cars like seltos, venue and creta are all crossovers. They're not SUVs. That itself is a marketing gimmick. Building a taller body on a sedan platform (example: Elevate) won't make it a SUV. Proper SUVs are cars like Fortuner, Range Rover, etc..
go for silver or metallic steel. Best look for this car. Also you can consider golden brown, but that looks better on the JAZZ, But again depends on your color choices :)

190 mm is typically the ground clearance of a crossover and it is mainly the wheelbase and not the GC that scraps the under belly of car. That said, I own a Honda City 5th Gen CVT - It a great fun to drive car and does not have much issues with respect to GC except for very bad roads

Yes i felt same he is going on relatively flat road and saying gc is of no issue . I drove brezza and Honda City I felt brezza to be not touching the speed breakers as much as city or even a swift was touching. Engine is very refined and sounds sporty. But Verna cabin is more silent for both petrol and diesel. The diesel city has an irritating low frequency humming.

Yes i felt same he is going on relatively flat road and saying gc is of no issue . I drove brezza and Honda City I felt brezza to be not touching the speed breakers as much as city or even a swift was touching. It gives that peace of mind though i like sedans .this is making me not come to a decision whether to buy a city or brezza
Definitely you have not visited any village side roads 🤣. I am dame sure on that time you will agrees those comments on ground clearance but we should learn how to drive on those roads and speed breakers. Then it wont be a big problem.
With added weight , sedans get much lower than this .

Oh more than silent brother :). Zero noise. With any honda car, jazz or city. Both drives like a water and completely silent cabin :)
The engine noise is sporty and not thrashy like other cars,its a joy!
Engine is very refined and sounds sporty. But Verna cabin is more silent for both petrol and diesel. The diesel city has an irritating low frequency humming.
