I just planted some Icelandic Poppies today and what are the odds that i’d find this video! You did a fantastic job with the painting and now I can’t wait for my poppy seeds to germinate!

I love your comments: “...they’re really really fainted, not really noticeable, but we know they’re there”. Just love it and also the “new botanical”. I like the name and the style. Thank you, thank you.

They’re so delicate! It really shows the translucency of watercolour. Thank you.

So delicate, they look so real, I love the shear petals over lapping. Very beautiful.

Icelandic popies must be beautiful. I've only seen the red orange ones in Northern Holland.
I wish you would add a video painting some of them. My 78 yr. old eyes can't distinguish how the petals look.

Mine looks utter rubbish 🤣🤣but I’m so loving the idea of painting with watercolours that I’ll keep practising!

Haha, I’m sure they’re not as bad as you think! I find that leaving a painting I’m not happy with for a day and coming back to it then I’m much happier with it!

Question....did you use hot pressed or cold press. Just curious when to use which grade of paper. I do not consider this painting loose. Also...should a hint of shadow color be added to differentiate
