Removing the caprail has become quite popular recently. Would that be something you would consider? I don't suspect that my WS 32 is leaking in any way but removing and glassing over the caprail - although cumbersome - might be a long term improvement...or I might be trying to create a solution to a problem I don't have.
For me it is purely an aesthetic issue. I just can't stand to have missing bungs anywhere on the boat. I prefer the look of the rubrail. I am removing and rebedding each of the rubrail fasteners as I replace the missing bungs. I have not had any issues with leaks from the rubrail fasteners.
I did not remove the rubrail. It just happened that several of the missing bungs were located at the scraf joint in the rubrail so the rubrail popped out at that joint when I removed the fasteners. It was necessary to remove those fasteners to drill the bung holes a bit deeper.
Just finished watching all your vids, what a great series! I love the W28 and would like to replace my CD25 with one.
Glad you like them!

Excellent video. Do you treat your rub rail or leave it natural?
Cheers,
Paul.
We leave it natural.
