Eso hace que le quites los armónicos dando una sensación de más grave el sonido, pero es peligroso con el uso porque las partículas de ese sintético se te puede meter al oído y además estas sacrificando volumen de los auriculares. Mejor utilicen un buen ecualizador, recomiendo RE equalizer , funciona para todo.

Sure it blocks the treble and muffles it to make it seem like bass has increased. Decent trick but, if you don't mind loss of db's

It improves bass due to refection of sound because of cotton , doesn’t affect inner part, try it and comment back your experience
