    Like his dry sense of humour: "Didn't want to learn how to weld because I'm half lazy". Any man who can complete such a complex project isn't lazy! She's very fortunate to have such a handy man. If a couple can get through this type of project and still be together, they can get through anything.
    Very well thought out design. Would be interested to know what the total cost was, including the bus purchase.

    I don't know what I'm more impressed by this awesome conversion or the couple who did it. They are both intelligent, articulate and courteous of one another. Each allows the other to speak and never talks over them. I hope I can find someone I gel along that well with some day. VERY well thought-out design throughout. I especially like the decision not to place upper cabinets. It really does help to give the appearance of a larger space. Bravo to both of them!

      Alex your comment really touched me. Being happily married for 35 years and my parents for 60 years I hope and pray you find an awesome soul-mate! My hubby and I are both preacher's kids and met at Bible college, so our backgrounds are almost exact. We face challenge together with courage (with covid and his job we are about to face one of our greatest hurdles 😢💔). I wish you the best!!

    Your husband is so hilarious through this whole build... I just imagine the movie Field of Dreams with Kevin Costner... If she ask for it he will build it... This was one of the longest videos I watched on tiny homes and worth every minute... As I was watching I kept saying I don’t know who is the rock star in this relationship but you guys are both freakin geniuses.... This is the best tiny home I have seen the way you guys have nailed it down to build it where it will stay and everything is bolted down where it is not moving and the fact that you took things from thrift stores and anywhere you can and made use of it it super awesome... The only thing that I did not like is that you guys need to do this as a profession... I know your husband works on standard homes and not this whole tiny home on wheels thing but what you guys have created in that space I wish I could hire you guys for when I find a vehicle to build my tiny home you guys would be first ones I would call to build mind.... I love the thought process and that you guys had done the camper van so you knew exactly what you wanted and did not want.... You all have given me so many ideas to think about when I build mine... I love the Murphy bed idea... I love the curtain idea in the back and all the windows that were saved in this build... Your home is so beautiful and inviting...

But it is their relationship and not really any of my business. I hope he's happy, b/c if he's not then that's no way to live the rest of your life.

    I watched this, after working several hours in my garden in the hot sun, and fell asleep four times. Then, after I rested watched it all the way through. It so strongly resonated with me because I have a long list of “must haves” & I recently decided I wasn’t going to compromise on what I want in my schooler. Additionally, I probably have 90% of things I can repurpose, that I LOVE, except for the electrical stuff. This is one of the few videos out of hundreds I’ve watched that really aligns with my own sensibilities for style, comfort, personalization and practicality. Thanks for sharing. New subbie.

    I have been contemplating a bus build, for some time, and love what you have done. The reason why you breaker trips on the switch over is because of one power supply is out of phase with the other. When it switches, it looks like a short circuit for a few seconds. The only way to fix it is with a syncing board that may or may not be installed in your inverter / charger. That would match the phase angle and let you switch back and forth. If it doesn't support syncing, you can open the the load breaker for a few seconds and make the power swap and then turn it back on.

Nothing was left to chance or sacrificed right down to your curtains, matching knobs, smoking cabin on the wall, little secured suitcases, beds, fold down deck, and well everything! So well thought out. Don’t listen to those complaining about your talking too much. You said nothing that was extraneous, and explained every great detail and idea so anybody who is interested could use your fabulous ideas. Those who complained obviously missed a lot of useful information and detail. So, glad I saved and got a chance to come back and watch the whole video. Just an amazing effort. You're both very smart & use your imagination to get things done. I also like the deal with the stationary suitcases, now that's clever. Thanks for showing us how you did everything. Oh, have you thought about putting a small wall mount or clip on fan down on the floor area when you drive to keep it a little cooler? Just a thought. Take care in your travels & God bless you all.

    Very cool! Love some of the things like the moveable wall, narrow cabinets and the bed liner on the bottom. The ladder to the roof deck idea is pure genius and I will be stealing that for my bus when I build it. A long video but worth the watch. Love that you guys explained why you did certain things the way you did. Everyone has their own priorities and that's what makes each Skoolie unique.

      The only thing I think you should reconsider is to try and incorporate more insulation where you can. Safe travels & may the Lord keep you all safe. 😊

    Wow this is a bright and cheery bus home. I love your ingenuity in the curtains. They are bright and bring in lots of lights and good for you that you have a bed that is easy to get to and yes the bathroom is important when it is your home. Smart move.

    Omg, this is the longest video ever. I watched it at 2x speed, and still couldn’t make it all the way. Wish they had a shortened version, without all the anecdote.

    • @malazkm
      @malazkm 4 роки тому

      Well you know you did not have to watch. The video did state very detailed. You did not pay attention to that?

    • @user-pt1cz4ot1e
      @user-pt1cz4ot1e 4 роки тому

      malazkm 2010 and, how exactly do you see the information, if you can’t watch the video? Don’t get hurt because a random person doesn’t like how long a video is. That’s a weird reason to get worked up, even if it were your video. I said nothing else about it...just the length.

    • @malazkm
      @malazkm 4 роки тому

      @@user-pt1cz4ot1e it is common sense. You complained about the length, yet the video states about it being detailed. If you did not like it, there are other bus conversion videos out there to watch. It has nothing to do with opinions, but if you do not pay attention, you will look like a fool. You have to think before you state something. Food for thought

    • @user-pt1cz4ot1e
      @user-pt1cz4ot1e 4 роки тому

      malazkm 2010 maybe not look foolish telling people not to be entitled to state what they think. Remember, you’re on my comment. I didn’t come to you with my grievance. Also, “detailed” would seem like you were getting thorough information about a build, including aesthetics and thought process. This is mostly anecdotal. That isn’t detail. Maybe, since I’m building a skoolie this spring, the details are extremely important to me. Most of this could have been edited out, and you would have the same amount of information.
      Could not care less if you come here with trying to insult because I stated my opinion, which is what the comment section is for. I’m autistic and am detail oriented. Can’t help if you’re not.

    • @malazkm

      @@user-pt1cz4ot1e what you stated was dumb. So that is why I stated what I stated. Food for thought.

    This is an amazing build. I love how he asked her what she wanted and made it happen. Some of my favorite things are how he built the beds, the full bathroom, the not losing any windows unless absolutely necessary and finding a way to keep it open by not having all the upper cabinets that most rv’s have, the window film, the kitchen idea about not needing to put in a stovetop etc.
    this bus was very thoughtfully designed.
