2:41 “Though looking at it from a surface level, you can see that the blue and maybe even the red is much more accurate on the Marvel Legends..." As Lex Luthor once said. “WRONG!" The Marvel Legends figure colors are NOT more accurate to No Way Home than the SH Figurearts. The Sh Figurearts has a dark blue & dark silver that doesn't reflect light nearly as much as the Marvel Legends does. Which is actually accurate to the movie. If you remember, you'll notice that in the movie, blue was very dark & the webs weren't that freaking bright as the marvel legends would have you believe. The Marvel Legends is too bright & colorful, which is inaccurate to the movie & makes the figure seem cheap & not of high quality.
Glad to see someone finally put the ML Andrew head sculpt on the Figuarts body.

In my opinion the Marvel Legends Peter #3 figure has 2 advantages over the SH Figuearts version. The head sculpt & torso length. Look at the shape of the head on the SH Figurearts Andrew figure, it's really odd. And for some reason, his torso is a bit long. The Marvel Legends doesn't share this problem whatsoever, which I think is awesome.
The legends is too buff and muscular. Andrew is not big.

The Tobey Spider-Man re-release with the unmasked head sculpt should've been better. What really bugs me is the fact that Hasbro couldn't be bothered to upgrade the paint, articulation or proportions. Here's what would've fixed the colors. Make the blue darker & the sliver less bright. That way it would be more accurate to NWH. Don't even get me started on the lack of accessories. This figure only comes with 2 thwipp hands, 1 fisted hand & 1 relaxed hand. It should be come with 2 fisted hands, 2 wall crawling hands & 2 web grabbing hands. With 2 web effects that have bendy wires in them. Hasbro, PLEASE drop those outdated web effects from 2012. I see they still didn't fix this silly mistake they made on the back of his suit. If you notice carefully, you can crunch his back forward & you'll see that the back spider repeats its design if you know what I mean. All in all, I'd give this figure re-release a 6.5/10. As for Andrew, it still has a few problems. For example, the red is still too dark & the blue is a inaccurate shade & almost looks purple. And for some reason, the back spider sculpt is too high up, which means it doesn't stay inside the blue section. Not sure how such a mistake escaped Hasbro's eyes but okay. It bothers me that it doesn't come with an even number of accessories. It should've come with 2 fisted hands, 2 web gripping hands, 2 wall crawling hands & 2 long webs. For the Marvel Legends Andrew Spider-Man figure, it gets a 7/10 from me. Still 10 times better than what Hasbro came up with back in 2014. And finally, the ML Tom Spidey figure. The issues with that figure aren't many, but they are there. First off, the plastic quality is actrocious. When your customers have to heat up figures straight out of the box just for them to be able to move is simply unbelievable. The figure should be ready to be played with out the box. And I've seen people online having their Tom ML figure break. Another flaw, the arms are a bit long. One major flaw this figure has is the fact that the blue isn't nearly as shiny as seen in the final swing of Spider-Man No Way Home. And for some reason the figure has raised webbing & it sticks out too much. It was a bit more subtle in the movie. But something I really appreciate is that Hasbro gave people a good amount of accessories. I still would've preferred to have 2 web grabbing hands & a new Tom Holland head sculpt that isn't a repaint of the Tom hwad sculpt we saw in the Iron Spider & Iron Man 2 pack from Infinity War. So for Tom Spidey, I'd give the ML figure a 7.5/10. Just a bit higher than the Andrew Marvel Legends, but that's only because of the amount of accessories. Now, the big question. Which figures should YOU buy? Here's my honest answer. If you're financially stable, prefer higher quality figures with more articulation, better paint applications & more accessories, then get the SH Figurearts figures. But if you can't afford any SH Figurearts figures, you're good at improving articulation, good at repainting & don't mind the fewer accessories, then get the Marvel Legends.
There are also these alternatives: Tobey: find a NIB Toybiz Tobey Spider-Man,get the Mafex Tobey or buy the CT Toys SHF Bootleg (for those who prefer to have a figure which looks better and is cheaper than ML).Andrew:get a Mafex old TASM2 figure or buy the CT Toys SHF bootleg (it comes with an unmasked head).And Finally Tom:Simply the SHF version.
all SHF proportions are spot on to the actors. Tom Holland is an actual gymnast with wide shoulders. Andrew has a lanky upper body proportion in real life with O-legs. Andrew's mask also has a smaller frontal area that's accurate to the suit from any movie stills. reviewers often use "I feel like" ... instead of actually being objective comparing the product representation to the actual actor. SHF Tobey will be everyone's favorite simply because Tobey has the most "normal" body type. All three head sculpt on the SHF actually has similar cranial size other than how the "helmet mask" look.
Definitely not spot on atleast on Andrews neck lol. And his masked headsculpt is also weird. While it may be “accurate” to some movie stills, those stills are flat due to the camera and lens they use, it’s kinda hard to translate move stills to a 1/12 scale 3D object but, objectively, the marvel legends has the better masked headsculpt. Shf one is way too flat on the front which makes his lenses looks kinda weird cause they’re more “foward” and flat when they should be more outward.

Hey man, this is a great video. The only nitpick I have with what you were saying about the Tobey figures is that you’re actually wrong about the colours being the same as the original 3 movies (you said 2 & 3).
Spider-Man 2 for sure the colours look near identical to the SHF, and tho Spiderman 3 brought the colours up a little, it’s not nearly as cartoonish and vibrant as the marvel legends.
No way home is a lot harder however, as when it was actually Tobey in the suit, it was much closer to the SHF. However, whenever it’s a CGI render of Tobey (most of the final battle) the marvel legends definitely comes closer.
The only reason that I wouldn't buy the figuarts is because getting all of the marvel legends spider-man is almost the cost of one figuart

the issue with the andrew figuarts is more with the neck than the headsculpt. i've seen some people modding it to make it a bit shorter and it looks way better
What was the point of this review 😂 I’m not a marvel legends fan but it does seem a little bias. You obviously had your preferences down before making this video so what was the point out of curiosity? ML is not an imported product and everyone who know figures obviously know that the price of Figuarts and mafex is the way it is because of what they intend to bring with they’re figures. Quality and more accessories. It’s almost like beating a dead horse or something. They’re completely different companies and serve different purposes to be fair. Marvel legends are durable and meant to be played with, while Figuarts is not meant for playing, mainly posing. I just don’t know why people still compare lol

I can definitely see where you're coming from, but paying an extra $80 for webs I might use once, and 2 unmasked heads I also wouldn't use over that masked headsculpt, do not bring it up in value relative to the legends.
Almost $100 different and the accessories included don't actually contribute to the value comparitively.
On top of the droopy crotches making short legs and long torsos on all the SHFs, and the wonky Andrew head for SHF, just not anything that makes paying more worth it here

Only thing I can't justify is how gappy the joints are with shf and Mafex figures.
Sure Hasbro didn't do perfect with the 3 No Way Home Spider-Men figures but at least they did give the single carded releases with very fantastic unmasked head sculpts of Tobey, Andrew and Tom, Despite all of the ''problems'' I still love the single carded Spider-Man No Way Home more than the stupid pricey Pulse 3 pack, Great video David.
I haven't been able to get them in my hands yet but from what I've seen through several videos, my problems are the lack of accessories and the joints of the Tobey Spidey not being able to reproduce the crawling pose of the emblematic poster from the first movie + the morphology of his torso/stomach.
That said, I've been hoping for Andrew and Tobey figurines for so long that despite the flaws they remain a must have for me.

I have the SHF Tobey and 3 ML spideys (got ML Tobey as well). I think it's actually ok to mix and match them, especially if they're doing dynamic spidey poses which hides the height difference. SHF Tobey is an absolute no brainer. It is LEAGUES better than the ML version. So if you're a big Tobey fan and money is an issue, i'd save up for that one at the very least. He's not gonna don the suit for much longer so who knows if we'll get another Tobey figure in the future. As for Andrew and Tom, i'm actually satisfied enough with their ML versions. Andrews in particular looks great and better imo than SHF. With Tom, I did have to shave down the ball joints on his legs a bit as people are apparently breaking theirs all over the place.

-Get Hasbro Amazing Spider-Man (other seems good too though.)

For putting the ML head on SHF bodies, you could put hot glue in the peg hole of the head and cover the neck peg in lubricant. I did that with my SHF green goblin and I think it looks great!

I knew that I was gonna spend more on SHFiguarts than for the Marvel Legends I’m happy with my SHF I love having more accessories. I love the quality of these figures & I love the articulation, the articulation is what got me into this line for the price tag yes it is worth that $80 or $100 price. 🔥
The tobey suit IS a dark blue though. The marvel legends one is just wrong.
I'll stick with Marvel Legends because they look decent enough for their price. Figuarts are just too expensive for what they are.
Currently I don't have the rest of the Figuarts of Andrew and Tom, but Figuarts Tobey is one of my Top 5 purchases of 2023 while the 3-pack from Hasbro is in one of the top 5 worst purchases of that same year

If you want to customize the head, you can just buy a rotary tool, dremmel out the hole, and add puddy to secure on the peg
I got the Legends Andrew Garfield just for the unmasked head. Threw away the body and put some sticky tack in the head before putting on the SH Figuarts one.

The mask and head sculpt on the ML version is so much better it’s not even close. It’s completely accurate to NWH’s head and mask design.

Eh. I remember the TASM2 suit looking more blood red. Figuarts looks a tiny bit more orange. But the red also should be more shiney because that is what it looked like. Like if you see the way the lighting hits the suit, there's a lot going on, especially the scenes where he's fighting Electro. You can even see it in the photos where he's next to Tobey and Tom.
Ngl where compairing two thing you can't be one sided as then if it comes to people new to collecting they won't listen much as you said you are one sided. If it was just the review it makes sense but it is not it, and the fact that he is putting re-release figures which everyone knows has less against shf is an unfair match up. Yes the 3-pack did not have much but would of had a better chance, the point of compairing things is to inform everyone and let the viewer deside what is best. Not trying to hate on this person but hard to agree with some parts if it is just him not giving ML a fighting chance. I feel like a mix of both worlds would be best but is you can't deside just try and hold out for mafex as they are already working on a tobey and tom and look great so far. But persides this there is somethings I agree with and a bit I don't anyway merry christmas 🙂👍

In my Opinion the final swing suit of marvel legends has the most accurate mask design for a Tom Holland marvel legends figure it's just that the head shape is overly round than it should actually be
Tbh I think for the nwh figuarts I’m gonna wait until the final swing suit releases, I love the metallic blue that is accurate to the film unlike the legends with a more dull colour.
Imports look good but they are made very Cheaply and break easily

My issue with the legends is why is Hasbro giving us what's essentially a barebones figures. They say if they add more accesories it will be a deluxe, well the G.I many of them come with plenty of stuff, the deluxe ones even come with more. If they already selling each one around $25-27 why not go all the way while giving us all the extra goodies, a couple of more extra hands, web slings and an extra head sculpt for $30-34. SHF might be superior but I don't think they are worth 3-4 times the value of legends. I have a few SHF and I like them but I can't help the feeling I have to be extra careful when I handle them for fear of breaking a limb, in contras with legends I enjoy messing around with them without the fear of I'm going to break something off.
I think both are overpriced for what you get. The ML should be about $10-15 and the SHF should be around $40.
With SHF feeling more fragile, they are, but that's because these are meant to be adult collectibles that carefully and meticulously pose. ML on the other hand, are kids' toys, meant to be rough housed and played with by 4+ kids.
For me , personally the shf Toby is the only one worth getting. The proportion on the ML Andrew are just better. The shf one is too boxy and the neck just a bit too long. The legends do a fine job for what they are supposed to be… except maybe Toby because the shf one is just leagues better and for $90 i would hope so lol. Great video btw

Me personally marvel legends wins 75.00 for all 3 yet SH.F is 80.00 a figure the Tobey sh.f has weird elbow color matching compared to marvel legends and then the bad thigh cut on sh.f not to mention the thong look
I disagree mostly cause even though it’s cheap that means that marvel legends is gonna take hands out cause they knew the 3 pack was useless so they took out hands to get people to buy the 3 pack. And the figuarts are expensive! But you will get stuff worth your money and I feel like most people forget that the shf are import figures meaning they are going to have good proportions and articulation against the ml they got there hands taken away limited articulation and bad sculpts
@@Not_tims true but SH.F has been having alot of issues especially on Tobey loose joints and broken shoulders here lately they have alot of QC issues in there marvel and DBZ lines
But I still feel that SH.F on the thigh cut and hips look bad on spiderman to me and some have long necks or small heads to throw the look off for me

It is the Toby and Andrew SHF figures that stopped me dead in my tracks from collecting any more SHF figures ....... I bought both of them thinking that I would love them hands down more than the versions I got in the Marvel Legends 3 pack over the summer ...... and my God, was I disappointed ...... I got rid of both of them almost immediately ..... In fact I didn't even bother to make a video on the Andrew version I was so disappointed ..... and it all comes down to sculpt ...... The ML, while not the best at any one thing, at least cut a good silhouette and have a nice clean sculpt ..... Those SHF figure have the most over engineered and gangly looking joints I have ever seen on an SHF figure and completely ruin the sculpt of a character who is supposed to be in a spandex suit ...... If you care more about articulation than sculpt, then SHF is the way to go, but if like me, you want a clean look for a spandex clad character, Marvel Legends is the better option

Marvel legends wins simply for affordability. Paying $100 for a slightly better figure is crazy to me.

Being a $25 figure is not an excuse for an ugly headsculpt. This is a matter of artistic skill. Even indie artists can create a way better 3D sculpt of Tobey's head., what's stopping a million dollar company from creating a good one?
