    ON LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:
As I continue to work to be a better person, I want to make sure the work and creative projects I make are never at the expense of others. The places I visit and the experiences I have, ESPECIALLY in this video, take place on unceded territory of Indigenous peoples. In solidarity with their struggle for sovereignty, I have included land acknowledgements below and within my video. But land acknowledgements aren't enough! So please check out the resources below on the Indigenous communities who lands I visited!
    Catawba/Sugaree (Charlotte, North Caroline)
With respect to the land and people who preceded us, I acknowledge that I am on colonized land traditionally belonging to the Catawba, Cheraw, Sugeree, Wateree, and Waxhaw Peoples, all of whom have stewarded this land throughout the generations. Before this land was colonized and named the city of Charlotte, it was used as a place of meeting and trade by a diverse group of Indigenous peoples, including the Catawba, Cherokee, Congaree, and Saponi.
I also acknowledge that the greater Charlotte region has directly profited from the enslavement and forced labor of African people and their descendants. I recognize that knowing, acknowledging, and honoring the history of the land and the people is only the first step. We must support and listen to Indigenous and Black voices, while continuing to address the policies and practices that perpetuate oppression.

ME TOOO! I try to do everything right. I bring a notebook, I write down names... then I either tale 40 nights and 40 days to follow up or I don't do it at all. I've yet to successfully make a meaningful relationship at a conference. But im not gonna give up yet hahahaha
