You could, but the door knob would be super high, you could move it, but dang, such a pain. Hmm, it seems his french doors didn’t have any knob or cut outs. I am used to working with reclaimed /antique doors, which always have the knob, or at least the cutouts, so I’ve always added the extension at the top.

I would lean the door up by the opening and check the gaps at the top and go from there. Thanks for watching 😊
