When a simple-minded individual named Stanley discovers that the co-workers in his office have mysteriously vanished, he sets off to find answers.
You will play as Stanley, and you will not play as Stanley. You will make a choice, and you will have your choices taken from you. The game will end, the game will never end. Contradiction follows contradiction, the rules of how games should work are broken, then broken again. You are not here to win. The Stanley Parable is a game that plays you.

I played this exactly once, got the "confusion" ending, and then immediately stopped playing. Nothing could top that experience
Phenomenal masterpiece from 2013. Can't wait to return to the broom closet ending. The broom closet ending is my favorite!
People need to forget about cleaning and try to make a mess in dis game. That’s how you get the trashy house ending. (My personal fave.)

If anyone is just discovering this gem, it's worth it to pick it up. It's a narrative story with great writing and is just a blast to play. If you can don't look anything up about it just go in blind. You won't be disappointed.

Go find the broom closet ending.
It's my favorite.
I remember when Markiplier played this a LONG time ago. That series is still one of my favorites he’s ever done today.
This is a game where you can move, jump, and press as single interact button. It's one of the best video gaming experiences to ever exist. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Very minorly peeved people are comparing this to the backrooms when it came 6 years earlier but it doesn't matter as long as they experience it. This game is special

@@ComiCross so worth the £20, played it before so getting the new content quick and I've already played 3 hours and only got like 3 endings so far out of 20 (new). If you love comedy and the narration style you'll adore this

Mario proceeded to play the whole game in this time, gotta say it's one of the best games and most underrated ones I've ever seen, I really encourage everybody to play this game. 9.5/10
can't believe this is 9 years old this year. got it on launch and am still so glad I did, it sucks you in and you won't want to put it down until you've seen everything

Though I’ve never played it, I highly recommend this game! I watched play throughs of it, but it strikes me as a game best experienced first-hand, and even though I didn’t have that opportunity myself, I still want others to enjoy it!

I was a teenager with no money when this game came out so I didn't get to play it myself but I watched many playthroughs of it and loved it. Fortunately, I have since forgotten most of what the game has to offer and am having the time of my life rediscovering the game firsthand now that I have money and a Switch.

According to the devs, there's in-game achievements. Probably similar to the Switch port of Cuphead.

A couple of the endings are kind of alarming, but there's only one spot where the game is slightly difficult. I suppose it depends on how well you cope with the idea of being alone in an office building.
There's a content warning option in the settings for some of the more serious topics, so if you're concerned about that sort of stuff it lets you skip over it.

If it were up to me: Star Wars Battlefront 2, Half Life Bundle, Team Fortress 1-2.
