My wife and I visited the Carpathians and areas west of there. Beautiful people and landscape. We have Ukrainian and Polish ancestry, which makes us feel like we are visiting our old home.

I’m considering going to university there, was going to Iasi before but I gave the appartement to Ukrainian refugees. Its basically the same price letting them stay and going to Ukraine university And less far to drive from the Netherlands
Very nice area, I'd like to travel there. Talking about security, the area is safe because of local minorities, most of the citizens are originally Hungarian people
Quite ironic to talk about this. From Wikipedia: "On 27 October 1944, the city was captured by the troops of the 4th Ukrainian Front of the Red Army. Thousands of ethnic Hungarians were killed, expelled, or else taken to work in Soviet forced labor" camps.[citation needed] The Hungarian majority population was decimated in order to strengthen the Soviet and Ukrainian right to the city.
The subcarpathian region is safe, and mostly because Hungary pretty much "neutral" ín this war. You can say anything bad the current hungarian government, I will not deny it. But Hungary didn't let any weapon transport thru its borders, that's why there is no war ín subcarpathian.
@@Olga_Reznikova I know what you mean. But the hungarian government has a form of communication and a form of action and this two is not realy the same (so they are lieing constantly). In the EU the woted every single sanction, and back in Hungary they blame the EU for the inflation. But in actions, we are with the NATO.

Which places became expensive because of displaced persons?
I thought that a part of Ukraine close to Transnistria could be quite dangerous because Transnistria is a part of Moldova occupied by Russian troops. There could be a war there in the future.
You are probably well aware of it, Olga, but the vast majority of people who comment on YT are complete fantasists, and you should not take anyone at their word when they speak of all their experience, or anything about 'their Ukrainian wives' and so on. In almost every case it is just their fantasies. They may actually be pre-teens or just have the same degree of intellect as pre-teens. Best regards.

it is safe because it is 1km to border and Russian weapon has 5km margin hehe. That's all.

That is a great example what happens when Russia reach to any territory.
This is a great example of Wikipedia being taken over by the CIA.
There are many Russian occupied territories waiting to be freed.
