  • This time, I tried the private S class room on the Meimon Taiyo ferry from Osaka to Fukuoka.
We can also enjoy buffet style dinner and breakfast on the ferry and beautiful views from the deck of the ferry. In this video, I show you the illuminated beautiful bridge (Akashi Kaikyo Bridge) from the deck. It was really magnificent!
Prices are at time of shooting.

Friend, you know there are many channels with travel videos of Japan in this style, but your are my absolute favorites. I think I have watched every one, and now started repeating.
They are very relaxing and help me to sleep. I would like to visit Japan one day, thanks to you.
Thank you for the meal! 🙏

6:38 The song is called Auld Lang Syne or as it is known in Japan, Hotaru No Hikari. It is used across the world in many countries to symbolize endings or farewells. In many english speaking countries it is played on New Years to say farewell to the old year.

I LOVE your videos and get better each time with the bits of what you personally were thinking, some humour, and including things that are freebies. Thank you so much for pointing out things that are super helpful if we visited like manners like we shouldn’t eat in walk, explaining the pyjamas when traditional the type it is and how you tie it, and what the food is making it easier to find if we wanted to try it.

1:15 min the Designer/Artist name is "Hundertwasser" (Hundred Water) he is very famous for buildings without edges and corners, adapted to nature in colored and Moorish style. He changed many buildings, such as residential buildings, train stations, public baths and factories. There is a shopping and residential building near me that he designed.
    He made also paintings. 😃

Do you think someone with no Japanese language skills could figure out how to take this ferry? Just curious.

    • @experience_japan

Even those without Japanese language skills can make reservations in English. The reservation site also allows you to choose English, and the ship's crew will be courteous and helpful.

IDK why, but the ferry buffet can range from ok to not that interesting. I have watched plenty of solo Japan travels, and by far the best food you can get are the ones between trains and buses. Only because you get the food before going on the ride. 😕
