Welcome aboard!
On CMD, it keeps giving me error of file name, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect even though I’ve entered everything correctly with the file name too
I followed the whole procedure and successfully linked my new D:/iTunesbackup to the old C:\users\(my name)\Apple\MobileSync\backup . However, when I use iTunes to backup my iphone, backup files appear on both C Drive and D Drive. If I delete the files in C Drive, the corresponding files in D Drive are also deleted. Could someone advise me what I have done wrong? Thank you
Sorry, this is just a link. Problem has been solved.
I am trying to link backup to my NAS and I get the following error "Local volumes are required to complete the operation."
yeah you have to use a local volume/partition
mklink /J "c:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\" "E:\iTunesBackup\"
It worked for me.
Cannot create a file when that file already exists.
this happens after i paste in : mklink /J "c:\Users\alton\Apple\MobileSync\Backup\" "d:\iTunesBackup\"
@@TestAlton u can delete the empty backup folder in C-Drive and it should work
