This was a fun project and I loved trying the new techniques. Brushing the resin on first was a challenge. I had to work from a reverse view like people do when painting window storefronts. The cork turned out great. I was worried at the beginning, but love how it smoothed out. I would change the resin to white if I did this again so the cork would not show through. Still, it was a fun project with amazing results. I highly recommend people to try this technique.

Hiya, these look beautiful. I love the purple 1 the best. Unfortunately I'm not so keen on the colour of the cork showing through as it spoils the colours of the flowers, personally. This is just my opinion and I am sure you and others will think differently. It doesn't change the fact they are beautifully made. All the best, Diane x

I thought the same after I finished them. But I also thought that the surface in which they would lay on if left with no back, would show through as well. So, unless you could add a white back, something would show through. It was the same dilemma I had with the pop top coasters. I opted for projection instead because of this. Thank you for your comment.
