Creating a Motivation Jar for New Year's Resolutions
In this project, I am adding more to my motivation board from last week's project by creating my Wondering Jar. This is a great project for anyone who needs motivation, is trying to save, or needs a fun project for kids. Everything I had around the house like an old coffee container, some fun decorative paper, stamps, and more. I even tested a new Cricut method for applying letters.
I hope you enjoy this video and make your own motivation jars.

All in a days work is a short I created showing a day in the studio. At the end of the year and the beginning of the next, I use remnants from the year to make a bunch of items or as many as I can for my end of year, New Year sales event. Resin Candy Dish in a Peppermint Spiral Pattern
Переглядів 2728 днів тому
Merry Christmas everyone and happy holidays. In this video, I decided to repeat a pattern I did back in 2021 which was a spiral design poured in resin. This time, I am waiting until it is partially set, demolding it, and then turning it over onto a bowl to make a curved dish. This was a fun project and I learned a bunch. I hope you enjoyed watching it and try it on your own. Thank you to PhatOi...

    Look for deep pour clear resin it's food safe aparantly none toxic safe environment friendly resin pours up to 2 inch thick longer working time. Bubble free

    Sorry being a pain also use a long lighter to quickly burst those bubbles

    But put gloves on resin is harmful and wair a proper mask even if you can't smell the invisible fumes.

    Use clear vinyl sticky back plastic on your table it can take several spills before deeding to strip it of. And use a nice varnish to polish your resin pieces. Or clear shoe polish neutral.

    Why did you warm the resin? Does it help

    • @CreationStudiowithLaLita
      @CreationStudiowithLaLita 26 днів тому

      Warming it helps release the bubbles quicker and mix easier but it does speed up the curing process a little. Not by much. If I am just pouring, then I warm it up first. If I am doing some sort of design that will take time to create such as the spiral design, then I don't warm it up. If it is cold in my room, then I warm it up so it is easier to mix.

    Thanks good information. Just to note: You should wear gloves when working with liquid silicone because silicone can be toxic: Gloves: Vinyl gloves are recommended because they won't interfere with the curing of silicone. Avoid latex gloves, which can cross-contaminate silicones. Other safety gear: You should also wear a respirator mask to protect against chemical odors. Work in a ventilated area: Make sure you're working in a well-ventilated area. Read safety labels: Before you start, read all the safety labels and instructions for the products you'll be using. Perform a test: Before using any recommendations, you can perform a small-scale test to determine if it's suitable. You should also avoid materials that contain sulfur, amines, rubber cement, many adhesives, and certain forms of vinyl and caulk also tin cure silicones and platinum Silicones may not adhere or cure against each other.

      Thank and yes checking labels is always important which the silicone I used is non toxic in liquid or stable form for breathing and touching. So, all is good but you are correct, read the label for the items you use.

    I started making this video with one idea in mind which was making a snowflake ornament with fake snow that is sold to decorate little villages or trains around trees. I wanted to know what it would do in resin. While they were setting up, I was cleaning and pulled out my box that has a variety of random items I plan to put into resin and found a small container of metal shavings. I thought these would look great in the ornaments and proceeded to use them the next day. I later found some bags of colorful chips and after seeing how the first two came out, I just had to explore these with the snowflake because of the angles. From there, I wanted to make one with spent cases and settled using the 3 different sizes of 22 cal. cases I had on hand. All of these turned out great and I love how the light shines on and through them. I want to explore more and may in the future. But why..... This OLD printer has like litterly hundreds of vids about everything already....

    • @CreationStudiowithLaLita
      @CreationStudiowithLaLita 2 місяці тому

      Why not.... This machine has been out for a couple of years, yes, but it is still a great machine that is still being sold today. Not every video covers all of this and I may explain something in a different way that might help someone, especially with this specific machine which was introduced only 2 years ago. Yes, there are newer machines and each year there will be more machines with newer technology. That is how technology works. But this is a great machine and affordable and there are many people purchasing it now and they may need some help. If my video and time helps them, then great. When I was researching this machine, I did find lots of videos on it and how it prints but not a lot that went into depth on replacing parts, leveling, and test prints. I am sure someone will find it helpful for when they purchase their Ender 3 v2 neo. Just because you may not have found any new information with my video, doesn't mean someone else won't. There are a lot of people starting their 3D print journey and may find some good information about their new machine.

    I made this video becuase I needed to change the nozzle and silicone sleeve on my 3D Printer and it became so much more. I also picked up a new bed mat and will level my bed from scratch. I also build the new enclosure and go over the features. This was not a planned video but when I realized I needed to do more than just replace the hot-end nozzle, I decided to make it into a video. I wasn't able to film some of the enclosure build. It wasn't possible to film with us, as we needed to rearrange the room and build it in place. The room wasn't big enough to show it. But I did explain how it comes together as best as I could. If you would like to see another video on how well the enclosure works out, please let me know. I hope you found this video helpful. I know 🙀😢It's been a few years and I still haven't made it back to fixing the machine and desk. I plan to start working on it after the holiday season because this is the busiest time of year for my shop and markets. The first year I ended up in another state working on a house. Last year I ended up sick and had major surgery with months of recovery. I hope to get back to the machine come January. It's still sitting there staring at me every day lol. Thank you for the gentle nudge 😁

    I love the coaster holder, the shell casings on the side almost look like they're falling down which really catches the eyes. The color of the coasters was an excellent choice as well!

      Thank you! I am enjoying making these sets. I have made 2 more since this video. One is red with 7.62x39 and the other is green with 17 hmr. I never thought about how they look like they are falling down. Good catch and you are correct.

    Congratulations lalita, you have come a long way it’s beautiful to go back and see how far and the hard work you’ve put in, I make cement toadstools for the garden and its hard work taking all that stuff to a craft market, alot of people don’t realise the work tgat goes into making things by hand. Big huggs to you from Bea in Australia 🙏🤗

      Wow, I will have to check out your work. My stuff gets heavy but you have me beat with cement lol. It defiantly weighs more than my stuff. It is a lot of work and it would be nice to show people just what it takes. Thank you for commenting and I wish you the best at your markets. Big hugs to you as well from the United States.

    These turned out brilliantly ,i love , i see ur material is thin , have u ever tried to resin 3mm or larger cotton cord , i want to resin cotton macrame patterns in resin coasters , goin down the rabbit hole of trying to get information brought me to u , should i seal it first , or just soak and do it in stages , i feel your a professional at experiments and experience, ❤❤❤❤

      I was going to do macrame cord but I am not ready yet. I will be doing crocheted yard project soon. My thought is I will add the crochet to the resin and then into the vacuum chamber. If you don't have a vacuum chamber, I would pour half the resin and then lay the macrame cord and allow it to soak up through it. Maybe help brush it one to get it all covered. Then, after it sets, I would pour the other half to cover and hopefully not have air bubbles. I hope this helps. I will be working on the yarn bowls soon and that video should be out in September, I hope lol.

    Do you still have the heavy duty singer?

    • @CreationStudiowithLaLita
      @CreationStudiowithLaLita 4 місяці тому

      I do not have it anymore. There was a deeper issue with this one and it wore out. I ended up getting a semi-commercial Juki machine because of all the sewing I do. It is more than just a hobby. I do have another Heavy Duty but it is the digital version of this one with around 200 different programmed stitches.

    I needed buttons for a project and decided to cut some with my laser engraver/cutter. I designed them using Ligthburn and cut them using my Creality Laser. I used 1/8-inch wood for this project. It turned out great and I am working on making other shapes. What shape would you like to see?

    What to do with all the rafting left over from 3D printing projects? I decided to save it up, cut it up, and then cast it in resin. I love how this coaster set turned out. I have to buy a new blender now, but that is okay. lol

    This was a fun project and I loved trying the new techniques. Brushing the resin on first was a challenge. I had to work from a reverse view like people do when painting window storefronts. The cork turned out great. I was worried at the beginning, but love how it smoothed out. I would change the resin to white if I did this again so the cork would not show through. Still, it was a fun project with amazing results. I highly recommend people to try this technique.

I thought I would share the journey with everyone and I hope you will join me and make the next several years amazing. Thank you for watching and being with me on this journey.
