Greetings 👋🏻. I’m from Belize 🇧🇿. Your thumbnail looks like a movie . But so glad you guys enjoyed it and experience a little bit of everything our small country has to offer
its so great to see my country be pressented in such a great light. i hupe you both had a great time and i know most of the mayan cites names are hard to say if you did not grow up hear, or if you have no spanish background. i loved ur video ❤.
Thank you so much! 😊 we really appreciate you watching and giving us a pass for some of the pronunciations! They are hard! We loved Belize, especially the area around San Ignacio 😍
i grew up in ambergris but i fequented san ignacio (cayo) every summer for vacation. i know my way around there like the back of my hand. it’s so healing to visit, and every year there’s more and more to see 🖤
@@KittiandJon only mention it because we were showing my mom around and stopped in and she lost it, got emotional from memories said the ice cream was the exact same as what she used to get a child. made the old way. We're Canadians who moved here 3 years ago building up near big rock falls :) glad you had time to see it.
Kitty & Jon you both did well. Really enjoyed your video. I am a Belizean who knows the country well and your research and effort to be informative did not go unnoticed. Thanks for choosing Belize and for having fun in our little jewel. Cheers.
I'm a Belizean you should go to the Corozal and visit every village and there's 3 village with lagoon the names are Progresso Copper bank and Chinos but Copper bank and Chonox have their lagoon dirty only Progresso have Beautiful lagoon its orange but is normal pls visit I'm a subscriber🙏🙏
It's nice that you're doing these videos. However, it's important to get your facts straight before posting. Creole is another form of French, not English.
Hi Gustav, this is probably redundant but I am a native Creole speaker from Belize and I can confirm that you are somewhat mistaken. It is true that there is the language French Creole, however, that is not spoken here in Belize. We speak Belizean Creole which is based on English. One example are the Creole words 'Fu Mi'. It literally means 'For Me'.
So glad you enjoyed our little country I am a belizean
We loved it! 😍Thanks for watching!

Last time I checked, Creole is another dialect of French.
🤓 Louisiana Creole, Belizean Creole comes from a Carib Dialect
i know people who speak Creole French 🤭
Creole means broken language. Hatians speak French creole and people from Louisiana speak a French English creole.

I believe there’s some versions based on French and others on English. Not sure which the Belizean variety is though.
the creole we use here is another form of broken english mainly because english is our main language
