"An artist can just plug in and dial a couple of knobs and boom, they're there." Cool. So how about some directly recorded "before" (dry) and "after" (processed by the Session DI) comparisons? You could also show us what dial settings are being used with the demo guitar/pickup rig(s).

I'm definitely intrigued by this and can't wait to try it out.

So in the venue DI demo with Ricky Skaggs - we weren't hearing the pure DI sound? It was tweaked by an audio engineer in post production? Do I have that right? And who was the young woman singing in this? She's incredible.

I recently picked one up & it has been a game changer for my '58 Epiphone Zenith archtop equipped w/ a KK big twin pickup. It has done what I guess I had hoped my Para DI would have done & has now made it obsolete.
I would be really interested to hear from anyone who has experience of trying the Session DI alongside & in tandem w/ the Para DI.
Technically the Para DI is specific to EQ'ing but the Session DI does not have any specific EQ controls but it does seem to negate the need for the same degree of EQ'ing as it might w/out the Session.
Any commentary on this would be really helpful.

could also use the "session acoustic di" for electric guitar (telecaster) to tweak the sound?

The Session DI is designed specifically for acoustic guitar, but that isn't to say it wouldn't have an interesting effect on an electric!

I would love to demo one please! I own The House of Musical Traditions in Takoma Park Maryland. In 1981, I founded The Institute of Musical Traditions, (501c3) and we do about 40 acoustic-roots-Americana concerts and workshops a year. When an artist comes in and has his own d.i., pedal board, etc. I start with a very flat channel eq to give respect to his "pre-mixed" signal. This is where the partnership between us begins. I know our venues, gear, mics, etc. and he knows his instrument and the sound he prefers. If this performs the way most L.R. Baggs products do, then I think we can get down the street for a bite to eat between soundcheck and the downbeat, a whole lot sooner! Our video channel on UA-cam is "imtfolk", just please listen through good speakers. And, every one of our over 500 videos are artist approved. We are constantly looking to make them sound and look better. But will this sessions d.i. do anything for accordions!!

    Two questions.
One: When can we get it?!! Looks wonderful.
Two: Who's the girl singing/playing at 2:39? Want to hear the rest of this song!

This sounds great. Is there anyway you could have one of your musicians play a song with what they usually play with and then have them play the song with the Session Acoustic DI, like a before and after thing? I bet it would sound sweet! =)

Okay, ~ So when are you going to demonstrate how it works and how we can get the best sound from it for our guitar ??????

Does it work the same on vocals? Can I use it just in the same way for just vocal mic live?

Could you please clarify, is LR Baggs Session Acoustic DI fully analog or digital?

LR Baggs is INCREDIBLE! So this Session DI will work with the Lyric internal microphone right? This is great gear but I agree with some of the other comments. Help us know how to use this awesome gear to get our best sounds! :)

There is literally no info on any DI box as to what would work well for a nylon string acoustic. I guess I’ll just have to take a chance. I can always send it back if it doesn’t help. I imagine it will though. I need to get a less tinny sound so the saturation sounds like the golden ticket.

Just got you LR Baggs Para Acoustic DI. Have only played thru it for a few minutes using my Taylor T5 z which is an acoustic electric. Are they designed JUST for acoustic?

Got a shitty guitar? You don`t need to buy this. Garbage in = garbage out. If you have a high end guitar with a good pickup system? You also don't need to buy this thing.
