It was a male hog so the meat tends to be much tougher. It has a stronger game taste to it so our buddy who took us hunting told us to just stick to eating the sow only. Supposedly the males taste better if they're castrated but I'm not 100% sure on that. From the videos point of view it looks like the hog is pointlessly killed but it ain't. We do eat whatever it is that were hunting or fishing for. Just not giant male hogs! Hogs in general cause major destruction to the land, they're a threat to native plants and they cause harm to the cows on the property. We do cut the hog down the middle so the vultures can feed on it, that way the life cycle can go on
