Hi, are u guys using the steelseries one? Did u experience warping? Ive seen the razer one warping so very badly on reddit. I was wondering if the steelseries prism xl does the same. Tnx
Well, that and the thing won't stay flat. I tried for over a year to work out all the kinks in the pad but it didn't do anything. I ended up just cutting the light strip out and removing the wires.
Same, I wanted to go with the Goliathus but I kept hearing about people having problems with it staying flat. I didn’t wanna have to control my RGB from 2 different programs though so I decided to go with the QCK Stitched Edge version and I love it
Just Nick they fixed alreadly and steel series is the one who’s copied razer and made it cheaper and the stuff is all cheap stuff so it won’t last long just 2-3 month my friend told me so I bought the Goliathus
Thanks for the video! Few additional comments: 1) Neither mat has a detachable cable; you mention it for SteelSeries but it's the same with the Razer as well. 2) SteelSeries has two controllable LED zones, bottom and top of the pad. You can see this ~2:00. Razer only has one. This really isn't compared in the review. Not a huge deal, but it is a difference. 3) I know Razer Synapse / Chroma has the ability of syncing devices to events in game (i.e. keyboard/mousepad color flashes when hit, etc); Is this also true with SteelSeries software? Any opinions on which product is more supported by games? 4) The comparative video shot at ~6:07; SteelSeries seems like it gets dimmer in the center? Can't tell from the video if Razer is also this way, or if it's just the way it was recorded.
i have a standard goliathus Chroma and i want to go for a bigger mousepad and im definitely going with the steelseries one, i have the apex 5 so it would look amazing synced
Hello man really nice video ! Im from Argentina, sorry for my english, but is the steelseries better than the razer? I mean, i play FPS... is a good cloth? Like the normals steelseries qck heavy, the surface ?
Hey, Brian brother, Bzzzzzz Bzzz. Thank you for helping decide what to buy and what not to buy. I really appreciate the time and effort put forth and let's not forget the money. 😊👍Take care buddy and have a blessed day my friend.
Hey i just found your channel and i wanted to ask if you are planning to review the ducky one 2 mini keyboard and the air ninja 58 mouse because i am planning to buy them but i dont know if they are worth the price the reviews on them were pretty poorly made tbh and you are really good at reviews.
@@FishBeeProductions i would really appreciate it! Oh and there is one problem with them and that is many people want those products so they are mostly out of stock (especially the mouse) it can take up to 30 days but i will wait and see what you think about them see you later!! (Btw you have nice reviews)
i have the goliathus xl and was debating replacing it with the prism. i used to be a big razer fan, but i noticed their quality control has gone downhill over the years and as my razer products die i've been switching to steelseries. i shall be getting the prism since my goliathus is finished my mouse is sticking to it because of how worn out it is.
I agree, I sent it today to Razer back, I do not know if they are going to replace it so I bought the Steelseries and I am very happy with it! Better than the Razer!
does this have to be plugged in to the PC/laptop the whole time for the lights to work? Or once I choose what colour I want, can i plug it to a usb port on my monitor?
Ohhhhhhh! Okay, the Philips Hue was the Dealbreaker for meeeee! I plan on getting the Philips Hue lighting (Philips Hue Play) to really give some magic to my room. Wow! ... Wait.. Not done watching video brb Anddddddddddddddddd *I'm going with the Steel Series* because too many comments are saying the RAZER Warps badly around the edges, almost inevitably it seems, plus I didn't like the visible stitching or the smaller led band or whatever on RAZER, what I did like was where the electrical housing was placed and the braided, colored cable, that screamed quality but... Can't do it. Won't risk it smh. Almost bit the bullet cause Wal Mart had one for $30 right now but nah!
I have the razer one, the first one i had warped badly within 2 days, I gave it another chance and thought maybe i got a defective one, I exchanged it with amazon and they send me a new one. After about two weeks, it was fine, but just last night it suddenly warped badly and i can not fix it for the life of me. Also the light begins to dull out once you get closer to the right side. i’m gonna try the steel series one now.
Wanna know why razer synapse takes long to download and requires an account. Because you can customize your own profiles and not just for the mouse mat, for keyboards headsets chroma integrated fans, mice and even headphone stands.
What about actually reviewing the mouse-pads functionalities? You didn't even run a mouse on the pads at all, and compare friction/glide. Good video for RGB debates, but nothing to do with actual pads.
you should do more research on the stuff you reviewing the steelseries matt have 2 rgb lights and the razer only have one so there is way more light patterns on the steelseries one
Where is the actual review? What i saw here is some mumbling rumbling about RGB Software and how Thick are RGB Stripes... Real life test? How does Mouse feels on it? Toe to Toe Pad-Mouse traction, ect...
I just got the steelseries mouse pad and the lighting on the pad is terrible... I don't know if I got a bad one but the white looks washed out and a light blue looks like teal.
If I spelled that last color right. Idk though if the white suppose to look washed out at the end though since at the beginning it looks fine the color.
I mean ur comparing 50 dollar mouspad to 100 dollar mousepad so it's obvious who the winner is but for 50 dollars to come that close its my easy choice
Hey peeps, I’d avoid this mousepad. Great review but failed to do the research about it and see that it has a massive issue with warping shortly after use. Strongly suggest you steer clear and get a different brand, or get the smaller RGB pads.
Steelseries its shit one. For so much money its a crappy :( . It never lies straight and the leds also not lit on the right side :(. After 3 day..:( I do not recommend to anyone.
This really helped me to choose I choose the steelseries
Nice me too

I really wish I could do the razer, I have all razer products, but really, the lack of lighting effects, I can't do it. Good job SteelSeries

Flippy Cocktail lololol. Razer used to be good, but their products are the cheaply made ones now, especially recently.

Yea but just imagine if he would be screaming he would sound like mrbeast a lot more!
no he doesn’t
I went for razer since my other products are razer aswell. Fire video tho!
I love how you never showed what they actually do light wise. For the different effects that’s what i wanted to see mainly.
Is Toby, from The Office, reviewing these?

The actual mousepad gets dimmer in the center because of its lighting so its more brighter in the corners thats all I can answer lol
i have a standard goliathus Chroma and i want to go for a bigger mousepad and im definitely going with the steelseries one, i have the apex 5 so it would look amazing synced
Would have been a better review if you would have filmed the RGB in action!
He did in The end..
How are the materials of the mousepads? Which one's surface has a better quality?
Hello man really nice video ! Im from Argentina, sorry for my english, but is the steelseries better than the razer? I mean, i play FPS... is a good cloth? Like the normals steelseries qck heavy, the surface ?
Yes, both are good. Very small difference in the lighting around the edge.
@@FishBeeProductions which of the two has the strongest light? You use the goliathus or the qck?
@@RRRULLETTOOR Steelseries QCK Prism is brighter but it's pretty close.
Thank you for helping me out!

If I didn’t want RGB what mousepad has a similar feeling to this ? The razer
Hey, Brian brother, Bzzzzzz Bzzz. Thank you for helping decide what to buy and what not to buy. I really appreciate the time and effort put forth and let's not forget the money. 😊👍Take care buddy and have a blessed day my friend.
I have Razer BlackWidow V3, Razer Basilisk V2 and Philips Hue Lights. So I'll choose Razer Goliathus Extended Chroma.

i just ordered one, im so hyped
Hi. I am choosing between razer gigantus v2 and steelseries QCK Heavy , can you give me some advice. thank you very much.
U didnt discouse the prices... I bought the razer one
How do these pads look when set to pure white? Which is closer to real white? Which gives off a brighter, more homogenous throughout the whole strip?
steel series does

Aince i already own a razor mouse with chroma guess its best to stick with them and not mix dont want 2 programs running in background for lighting
very good review, now i know wich one im gonna buy thx😀😀
Glad I could help!
Which one are you getting?
Do not get razer the edges warp badly and are almost impossible to fix
I agree, I sent it today to Razer back, I do not know if they are going to replace it so I bought the Steelseries and I am very happy with it! Better than the Razer!
Mine is perfect so there is that
Doublesided tape?
you play rocket league ur my new best friend. and finally someone who compared these two
Can you make a comparison of the strider chroma and qck prism
does this have to be plugged in to the PC/laptop the whole time for the lights to work? Or once I choose what colour I want, can i plug it to a usb port on my monitor?
Does the steelseries get wavy? Or does the razer one?
No both of them are pretty heavy duty and lay flat
FishBee Productions okay! Because I have seen some dudes got their razed waved and not laying flat
@@FishBeeProductions Razer one gets extremely warped. It's a poorly manufactured mousepad.
