I’d stay away from the Delonghi Dinamica plus if you like milk coffee drinks. The temp is basically warm, certainly not hot. Tops out at 110 degrees F.
Hello from Vancouver Canada and I just ordered Dinamica Plus which is now even cheaper than Magnifica Plus. You had mentioned that "Made in Italy" and puck sizes in Dinamica Plus are clear advantages over Magnifica series :)
Thank you Tom and all the coffee lovers. My Budget is $200 and I need to decide to pull the trigger between Delonghi Dedica Arte or the Hibrew H10 A, with both being exactly priced at $199. Please advice. ( Don't mind upgrading accessories later). Thanks in advance. Myself: Solo drinker, One latte per day and the occasional guest. Latte being Hot and not just luke warm is a must.
Hey Tom, Michigan checking in. I’ve been hounding Breville deals, and feel like kicking myself for waiting. They had the Express Impress for 695 mid October. Using camel camel camel to track. If you look at historical data they may drop the price toward the end of Black Friday or cyber Monday. Now it’s at 800 bucks basically. Going to wait for the price to come back down.
I got an eletta explore for a decent discount. and a new tv. both of them went down another $100 the next day! about the only adjustment I had to make was increasing the temp to max, other than that it was cafe equivalent out of the box using a 5/10 medium roast lavaza bean that was half price. I also really like the milk system it has with the hot/cold jugs.c
I got la Delonghi specialista Arte for 360e (in France) + one year of free coffee from Delonghi, comparing to what's on the market now I think it was the best deal. I was waiting some sales for the new Ninja Luxe but nothing.
Thank you for the insights, Tom, super helpful. I`m leaning towards Magnifica Evo with automated frothing. I know that a puck size is smaller and that coffee is not that strong. Your review on a plus model is not out yet. Hence, considering current discount on Evo, if I buy it, would I be able to get same quality cappuccino if I add extra espresso shot in it? Or you still think of getting the plus model? Thank you!
We're thinking of getting the De'Longhi La Specialista Arte EC9155 for 369 euros in the black friday deal that you said you had as well. You skipped over that one pretty quickly. Would you recommend it? Can't afford to go over that price range. Also does it work well with the milk to create art with it?
Hi Tom, and thank you for the video and tips! In Romania, there’s currently an offer on the De’Longhi website, and I’m not sure which to choose between the De’Longhi Rivelia and the Magnifica Plus. Both are the same price, but the Rivelia has a discount code of €130 off, so both end up costing €550. Any recommendations? Thank you so much!
Ok Tom I need your recommendation before Dec 1. Dynamica Plus or Magnifica Plus. I will make cappuccinos often. I almost ordered Dynamica today but I had the Magnifica in my wish list after having read about it. Magnifica is made in China. Our US prices are higher than Europe!
What’s the difference between ECP3420 and ECP35.31 (in the UK)? Or are they the same? I’m planning to get the ECP35.31 and sage grinder(The Dose Control Pro) to try your advanced mode.
Comment for algorythm, and also curious. Since they are in the same price range in Hungary, does the DeLonghi Dinamica Plus or the Sage Barista Express Impress produce better coffee, assuming we don't rely on the fact that the DeLonghi is easier and faster to use? ✌✌
The Dinamica Plus does pretty darn good on the Doppio+, but it's still not on the level of a semi-automatic machine, as you don't have the same control over the grind and dose size, as well as puck prep. Cheers!
I’m from Kentucky. I haven’t bought an espresso machine yet. Wanting to start my espresso journey and I’ve been watching your reviews lol. I’m leaning towards the Breville Barista Express. What’s your opinion on Kitchen Aid or a Smeg?
The Kitchen Aids are rated very poorly on Amazon for quality, which is why I haven't taken the chance on one yet...I'd stick to Delonghi or Breville, or something Italian. Cheers!
What are your thoughts on the Lavazza espresso beans? I like them particularly for flavored latte or large ice coffee Frappuccino type drinks with my ninja luxe cafe (loved your reviews). Just noticed. Your thoughts on the 5/10 vs 7/10 roasts?
I use the 8/10 purple one often, even in videos. Hard to pass up for 10 euros when on sale, and within 2-3 months of roast date. If they're too old, I'll pay the 30 euros for locally roasted beans.
Are you going to do a review on the Magnifica Plus? That's the machine I'm leaning towards. Just hoping to see your review before I make the purchase. I'm wondering if it's worth the extra money or if should I go with the Magnifica Evo?
Amazon says $987USD for the DeLongi Magnifica Plus vs your $649 price. Wondering if it was just for one day or if the model is different. Item numbers are the same though.
I think you're mistaken. The Magnifica Evo is on sale. The Magnifica Plus is brand new, and not on sale. They are two different machines, and the new Plus model has a touch screen. Cheers!
Eugene, OR. My Kingrinder6 gave out after almost a year of heavy use. It still grinds but the wooden handle came off and so did the rubber-piece that holds the lid on. Ordered a DF-54, expecting it to arrive in a few days. One complaint I had against the Kingrider (and many other hand-grinders).... it does the job well but gets coffee grounds all over the workspace. Messy.
My K6 gave me issues for its whole lifespan (9 months). Oring broke, no big deal. Sleeve came off, not a huge issue but annoying. Zero point wondered 29 places! The bearing and washers were rusted shut when I got it, and I had to tear it apart and clean it too. It makes good coffee, but I've been a bit annoyed with it. Shame because a lot of people seem to have had a good experience with theirs. I just got the J-Ultra to replace it on sale yesterday, so I hope I like it more! Hope you enjoy the DF-54!
@@kitcraft9516 People are quick to highly rate a new product. They usually work well for awhile and you never hear about all the peeps who end up quietly trashing them and getting something else. I’m ready to buy the DeLonghi Dominica plus connected for $1199.00 in US. That is 300 off. This is based on your previous recommendation!! Now you say don’t go for it. I’m confused
Think I’m gonna go for the rivelia, the switch hopper is very appealing and useful to me, but the Eletta explorer, Dinamica and Magnifica plus also seemed tempting so not sure if I’m making the right decision 🥲

The ECP35.31 is just the moniker for the european version of the same machine. It does have an auto turn-off, that the ECP3420 doesn't have.
Dedica is a steal at that price.
