I flew in the back seat of an F-5 in Vietnam in 1969. It was 3 hours of awesome flying around the country. When we returned to the base, on touchdown, he pulled the nose up then all hell broke loose. Blew the left main tire and started a spin down the runway. I only hoped we didn't hit something solid. It was still a successful day.
The pilot is awesome. Answers any questions, and his merit badge patch is humorous. He also owns the arctic painted mig we have seen up there in prior years.
@@LaRuTV @sshole merit badge. Lol. I told him it was awesome, he chuckled and said “it’s earned not bought”. Cool dude tho! Answered lots of questions!
Does the military or FAA require that if a civilian owns that aircraft the HUD has to be removed? I have noticed this several times on different civilian owned decommissioned military jet fighters.
Keeps any random fumes out of his body, better comms, assists with retaining the helmet/mask on the head in case of an ejection, face protection for a bird strike....
Also, our oxygen masks do nothing for high G maneuvers. G suits are used for that purpose. Blood rushing up and down the body from G forces causes redout and blackout, not oxygen. If you watch the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds closely you will see they have built a tolerance and do not use G suits. Last I remember seeing they dont use oxygen either because they aren't staying above 12,000 ft.
If he'd thrown in some cuban 8's, rolls, and a loop or two it would have been more interesting. Maybe a few min radius/max g turns? Also a little high for such a small aircraft. He spent more time away from the flight line than with it.
Hi It is very nice to watch the flight from the cockpit of the F5, thank you for this, but He flies like someone without an air force background, who was a jet pilot from civil aviation and did not have many flight hours with the F5. Or he avoids destroying the plane because it is too old.
Very Good Video, Done Just The Way It Should Be! Only The Sound Of The Aircraft Moving Thru The Air! No Unnecessary & Unneeded "Music" To Ruin It! Allows The Viewer To Focus Right In On What's Going On, & Not Be Distracted By Some Irrelevant Soundtrack!
I wonder if they'll do to the t-38 what they did to Mustang turn it into air to ground wasn't the best choice but it was available it was abundant it worked
I love this little plane. I would the F-20 had received the orders it deserved. It was more reliable and quicker to scramble than the other Gen4 fighters. It would have been a potent little fighter.
Such a precise and easy fighter, in the hands of someone very un-precise lol. (easy as long as you dont need to drop bombs tho, crappy radar to lol) but freakin awesome jet
Several reasons: left side could be the "hot" lane, avoids the runway markings (they can be slippery/bumpy), and helps see the edge of the runway when sat so low so as to help with directional control on the takeoff run.

@OWEN FLORENCE there are 3 different models

F-5 is indeed a ptetty slick bird, one of my fav. Thanks for this nice video that pov and coverage is awesome.
What a great jet!! Thanks for the ride!

Mig-21?
MiG 17
what does it say on his patch?

@@flyboy92187 Jeff is such a good sport! Hes awesome
Now, if I'm not mistaken an F5 can indeed turn left, correct?
Not when it's assigned to a right race track. Traffic deconfliction!
Only conservative Patriots fly F5's no LEFTISTS turns...MAGA..
He broke left immediately after take off.
In the southern States, all the race tracks turn left...
Deryk Zoolander at the controls.. can take a mean right but cant take a looie if his life depended onit
Always liked the F5 small fast not complicated like the new ones.

Good camera angle, no music---- I LIKE it! Wondering why pilot was wearing ox mask for this altitude and no high G's?

It’s where the radio mic is, that’s it
Why do airplanes normally make a turn immediately after taking off?
Thanks! Nice video
It seems to be a very stable machine at low level.
Doesn't appear to be being bumped around.
F-5M BR
POR DENTRO É TOTALMENTE DIFERENTE DO CAÇA F-5 ANTIGO
kkk
Flying in circles in an F-5. What fun.
Why do fighter jet pilots not use rudder to coordinate the turns?

How can I get one of these? So cool.
Win the lottery! 😂

Buy one.

What is making that sound that decreases in pitch and lasts from 13:26 to 13:40
Sounds like the camera mount or something else in the cockpit rattling with the vibration

My game ❤
No heads up display (HUD) in 2018?
Its a 50 year old aircraft
That's cool(!) but how about a barrel roll and an Immelmann?
Not part of the plan this time but we'll have more footage from his cockpit in the future!

This one doesn't have radar, i believe only the Tiger II variant has one.

Great !!!
Is there a reason why you are taking off from the left of Runway centerline? Makes no sense unless you are making a formation takeoff.

Who can't do that?
That is a MIG 28! 😤 It carries the Exocet antiship missle⛴ “They can fire that missile from 100 miles away!” 🚀😠
But it can't sustain a negative G pushover.
@@GeneralChangFromDanang The data on the Mig is innacurate, I, i mean we saw a Mig in a negative 4G dive

You know, the finger! 🖕
I’m sorry, I’m sorry... I hate it when it does that...

Where is an f5 tiger???. Everybody knows this is a mig 28....duh
One boring demonstration. I’d go home
Very safe. :)
Oof

Great .... he flies around in circles. Boring.
No hud
Weak demo
Is the mask necessary? Don't know too much. What's the purpose? I thought for some flight path like thise wouldn't be necessary
The Earth is flat nice fisheye lens BAM no doubt about it 😎
Waste of oxygen.
