- The bike has already sold! Honestly I'm not surprised! Anyway, in today's video we are test riding a 2017 Triumph Street Triple 765 RS. This is a bike I've personally been very taken with ever since I saw one in the flesh and I've watched a lot of videos on them myself, so really cool to get out on one and give it a go :)

Finally getting my butt on a Triumph has just made me want to try the new 1200 speed triple and the new Rocket 3 even more.
What do you all think? Enjoying Triumph's offerings at the minute?
Yes yes and yes. I want to ride them all.
I'm a massive fan of the Street Triple, one has been in our garage for nearly a decade. I'm a tall guy and can ride my wife's bike but after about 100 miles I do feel cramped. We have the 675 but still an amazing engine which just sounds incredible high in the rev range.
The small size of this bike is all too apparent when I see a reflection of me on it in shop windows. Got a feeling the weight you quoted 160 to 170KG may be the dry weight but great review of the best middle weight bike out there in my humble opinion.
Your channel and Mr Hippos were a large part of the reason I wanted to try a Street Triple so much, I definitely wouldn't tour on it but surprisingly fit ok, 100 miles is a decent distance really I'd be wanted a short break after that anyway :) The 675 had a lovely note to it too, but the magic they've worked with the airbox to make it sing like that is so so impressive.
Haha I never look in those shop windows for that reason, stick to the countryside :D Yes indeed, I meant to correct that in editing but evidently forgot. 168kgs is the dry weight :) Still insanely light. Thanks man :) It's right up there anyway for sure!! This is a bike I'd really really really loved to have all day with cameras off to just enjoy :)

Oh that new speed triple is a monster. If I could afford it I think I'd try it as an all rounder bike, work, track, everything!
I really enjoyed your review. Also, wanted to give you a high five for the video quality and camera angles ...like that rear forward facing camera that gives the viewer the feel riding the bike . Thanks from the States !

Great review as always. If you could would you please take a sideshot with your camera on how you look on the bikes you are reviewing. It would give us tall riders an idea of fit and comfort. You don't need to be in motion just sit on it in riding position while it's on its stand and take a shot. Cheers!

I bought a 1994 Virgo 750, for $1600, had 5200miles on it. The girl I got it from bought the Street Triple. Guess she got a nice bike.I made a quick video of my bike. The plungers are stuck so I have to wait for vacuum rubbers and finish rebuilding them. I have all the videos of tearing down. I have other projects to. Great viseo

No, but great bikes. I love Triumphs sporty triples. Love my 13 S3R, and my current dream scoot is the new 21 Speed Triple RS. Massive upgrades this year w/30 more ponies and 30 less pounds. Hopefully you can have a go on one of those too. 🤘

The new Speed Triple RS is bloody beautiful. I doubt I'll find a way to ride one tbh, I'd have to get very lucky, same as with the new Hayabusa. My channel is only a small one sadly so I rely on the kindness of places like Freeman Motorcycles and Franklins to loan me bikes :)
Such an amazing bike all round. One of the only bikes I was on that fit me like a glove. That was the older street triple. So be interesting to see how the newer one feels. The temptation 🤤

Passed my test on a street triple 765. Straight after passing my test in the worst conditions... Soaking wet. I followed my instructor onto the roundabout and onto the duel carriageway... He went off like a shot and I thought... I'm going to have you pal.. 🤦 (we got on really well and he knew I wanted to race 🤣)
To which I learnt a very quick lesson... Do not give a bike like that full beans 1 when your not fully straight in the wet and 2 in the pissing rain.
So close to binning that bike.... Stepped out sideways on me... Think all the electronics saved me from a very red and sorry face 😂
Still an awesome bike and would love one but I like to take a pillion (my boys) now and then... Not the best for them.
Hahaha yeah I can see how that would make for a very very very clenched butt. They're definitely not the bike for that :D Very few are actually :D
I mean it could work if you strap a phone to the pillion and zoom call them :D That's about the only way someone is comfortably fitting back there :D

Thats a great bike - I love my Speed triple and I think the extra torque you get in the 1050 makes the bike and brings the peak power and torque lower down in the rev range making it less revy
It's honestly brilliant man :) After editing this and thinking about it a bit, I do think I'd go for the Speed Triple over the Street due to my slightly hooligany inclinations and the extra low down torque :) Absolutely brilliant bike though!
Not sure how I missed this video??? Triumph makes good looking machines. Yes, be politically correct, no everyone has bits to slam. What's the redline? I like the sound of the triple. Teleporting is fun. Are the rotors floating? I think the Triumph and the Aprilia are some of my favorite "Naked" bikes. The MT's are nice to. That was a lovely view, Ireland is beauty when it's not raining. I like how the little RS side fairing thingy bit matches the Brembo calipers, like it just flows...I could totally see myself on that bike. Church of bike...😂 Everyone should have a Church of bike nearby that has an open bar and V4's.
Me neither :'( Haha jk, it's easy miss them :) They really really do :) I can't remember the redline but high! Triples are really nice, lovely sound and torque off them. They are indeed, pretty much all rotors are floating these days aren't they? The Aprilia has to be my all time favourite but the new speed triple RS is amazing. When it's not is the key word.....it rains far too much tho :D You should get one :P Might be a great new bike for you :D Ohhhhhhh now that I like the sound of :D

Yeah I'd say fairly soon tbh, that one was very fiddly and distracting. They all need to be like the Africa twin :) It's actually a super cool church. I must go back! Thanks :)
@@TheGorillaBiker Yes, where does the pillion sit, where can I put my shopping, where do i sit come to that? Suffers from shrinkage like so many "modern" designs. I have never had the luxury of multiple bikes. I am not looking for a scalpel, not looking for speed. I am not a fan of the styling either. Sorry, lol.
Even as a short arse, my head was never buffeted by the screen on mine, really awesome bikes, I do sometimes miss my "R" version. Mine was ace as a daily ride, and even on track it held it's own, with the only thing holding it back being my ability on it. You should see if you can get a demo on the Speed Triple 1050, it is even better!

Man I'd love to ride and possibly buy that, but yes I've seen the same and I put up decent mileage so it'd have to be good for the road too! In reality most people don't go to the track all that often!
@@TheGorillaBiker Yup, although I am looking for a trackday toy, I want it to be a good roadbike too, which is why the Aprilia RS & Tuono 660 are on my radar currently too
I think they'd make a far more fun and reasonable all rounder too. The 1200 is just a mental case, similar to the MT10! Plus they look so good 😍

@@TheGorillaBiker Yes I do but I already ride a bike that’s too small for me. I’ve always loved the street triple. Even the very first model that came out was more comfortable than most bikes I sat on at a bike show about 16ish years ago.
@@hachewie Oh no for just you I fully support a street triple. I would not recommend it for Mrs Chewie tho, that rear seat spot is leaaaaaan. I don't know what human could fit on there tbh.

Great review. Just one question. Is there a bike you don't want 👍😊 Personally I've had 12 bikes in the last 5 years. Though I never have more than three at a time. I like to try and keep it to two.. I always have a big sport tourer , currently an FJR 1300 as I really like to do at least 1 long tour a year. In Canada a long tour is between 6000 and 8000 KMS

Me too man! Same as always just a mic in the helmet, that's all their fancy airbox, it's all induction noise which is why you could all hear it so well :)

180kg wet
I made this video a long time ago so I'm not sure what prompted this. But I remember getting my specs I did go through from the triumph website, which still shows dry weight as 165kg, so with all fluids and fuel full the wet weight would be higher no?
Just checked 188kg shown on the triumph website. Not sure what I said back then it was a long time ago and I hate my voice so I'm not rewatching that 😂 I do generally check specs from the manufacturers website when I can.
