- HEY EVERYONE... Welcome BACK to another foundation review. Today I'm testing out the much talked about Beauty Blender Bounce foundation... When the first image of this foundation range hit the internet, it caused quit a stir. I dive into the drama and spend 12 hours in the Houston, Texas heat and humidity trying this product out.. guest appearance from my boo RICH LUX, I also stopped at the Houston Galleria mall and asked Sephora employees what they thought of my skin... the tea is HOT and this video was a journey. You know what would have made this video even more iconic? If you invited over some friends with different skin tones and they all tried to match themselves like regular customers in the store. That would be the perfect way to demonstrate if the shade range is shit or not. I know that for me it would be really hard to judge the entire line based on what I think other skin tones need (so it would be perfect if other people spoke for themselves). But maybe that would be an idea for a future video ;) Anyway, as a makeup brand owner I'm sure you are fully aware of how the perfect shade range should look like and I hope that Beautyblender will expand theirs. Tip Aly I agree. I found myself hoping that this Foundation wouldn't be approved because I thought after the issue with tarte that we would never see another situation where there would be a problem with inclusivity. But as you said this simply proves knowing how he feels about the issue of shades he was honest kept to the topic at hand and not was is it a good product and did it do what it said it was going to do and the answer was yes so he gave it his approval. It seems like because they are a small indie brand, people seem to think there's no way Huda would need to steal from them. I've never even touched a Huda product. My actions are now confirmed to have been smart. I don't like supporting shady and/or insanely arrogant and hateful business owners. Sorry, but my money is going to Morphe, Jeffree Star, Makeup Revolution, and ELF. Hell, I just replaced two of my expired Morphe palettes and added a new one today. My Jeffree brushes will soon be in my hands. I've been using Makeup Revolution since the first time I saw it on Ulta shelves. And ELF. Well, that freaking putty primer is everything.
Jeffree thank you so much for not only mentioning how there could’ve been darker shades but how there couldve been lighter shades! As a pasty Irish child, half of the time I can’t find a shade light enough and I totally agree that they could’ve gone lighter and darker! And this is true for a lot of brands! Cmon brands not everyone is white and not everyone is that “perfect tan” shade!
Ginger Znap so true! I totally agree with you. I’m half Norwegian and half Irish and I am extremely pale. Everything always seems to have a warm undertone and looks orange on me. Shell in the Estée Lauder double wear is my holy grail, it matches me so well and doesn’t oxidize. Both ends of this shade range are horrendous

Thanks for mentioning us pale ass people. Being of Irish and English decent I've found it really hard to get makeup pale enough for me. Also, there is a makeup brand in the UK called Revolution that is a drugstore brand with a concealer that's £4 which has a shade range that goes from literal white to a very dark tone. So if they can do it anyone can.
Allison Reynolds yes!!! it's also hard to find pale peachy concealer or foundation bc it's yellow undertones everywhere and i'm struggling with it.
also revolution's concealer is really good, i have one.
(tip- if u are pale peachy, u can buy Korean cosmetics bc it's white and pale enough)

absolutely!! im INCREDIBLY pale to the point where i dont even tan, so i dont have any summer shades. even the lightest shade of fenty beauty looks a bit orange on me, it needs to be like 2 shades lighter. ill check Revolution out!!

I just look like a darn clown because most fondation have not gone to the palest people of the PLANET!! I wonder what albano people do? (No offense intended!) Juan Diego I live in Japan. My husband is Filipino. Asians come in way more than 3 shades. The amount of unmatched foundation faces here is ridiculous.
Just like every other race in the world, the skin tones range from pale to dark. Theres still no excuse.

I have never seen any other big UA-camr on your level be so down to earth and super friendly with everyone while you’re out and about. You never act put out or like you’re better than anyone. Being African American, that line definitely needs work. Our undertone is usually yellow not red. Seems that all those were red undertone. Redo.
Kiana Archer I noticed that a lot of companies do this with the darker tones in foundation they often have that red-orangey undertone and I think that is a rare undertone in most people of color so I never understood that 🤷🏾♀️like even when they get the shades right the undertone is off! It’s sad 😞

Yeah, being an African american lady when they have red shades it truly frustrates me because the representation is inaccurate and really disappointing.
I hate when shades make foundations too orange too. I have medium dark skin and I end up with dark orange foundation. I use maybeline fit me. It’s cheap and it doesn’t breakout my skin.
