Hi Jeffree! I'm a pharmacist, and I often work with cosmetic formulations. Dodgy formulations from the internet can contain lead, which you know is TERRIBLE for your skin. BUT you can test for it at home! All you need to do is swatch a small amount of product, let it dry down, and rub a little bit of gold on it. If the product starts going grey, it contains lead and you definitely shouldn't put it on your face. Just a concerned fan looking out for your skin!

One of the oldest tricks in the book.. Gold really can show u if a formula is bad for u and contains bad shady chemicals. My uncles wife would do this all the time!!
@@atewanders3928 Gold jewellery works just fine! It shouldn't alter the colour of the gold, the gold may pick up some of the lead and look a bit grey, but it will rub off; I test my makeup with a gold necklace all the time!

I actually ordered it thinking, 'whats the worst that could happen?' I applied it with no other makeup just to see how it feels on my skin. It did not feel good btw, so I removed it with a makeup wipe and there was some kind of skin tone, but not my match 🤷

That was my hypothesis because it wasn’t white until he blended it in. And since sunscreen is transparent with a white tint, it “easily” gets away with its scamming tactic. This “foundation” would be disastrous for someone who isn’t pale like Jeffree, because the “foundation” would only tint the skin, desaturating it and giving it a more grey appearance.
Aye I have got it they are tricking you into buying sunscreen so its good for your health!

I was like you when I first tried it. By itself, it is way too light on me. But this product has become my go to foundation to add to foundations that are too dark. Works for that.

I've never used this particular brand but I do have an Almay foundation similar to this and you have to apply it with your fingers because the warmth from your fingers help the "color change" part.

I just ran across this video. Best laugh I've had in awhile. Jeffree is hilarious!
Omg lol this is my favorite foundation! I have naturally dry skin, and this has almost got a more oily base that makes my face feel so hydrated. Admittedly, the smell is similar to sunscreen, but I actually like that smell (hits some sort of nostalgia for me). It only looks so pale on him because he is PALE. I'm always between shades, especially transitioning from winter to summer when my skin gets naturally darker. This ALWAYS matches my skin no matter what. I've tested it on friends with much darker/lighter skin than mine, and it still blended seamlessly. I swear by this stuff!
