This was the best trailer I've ever seen, the way it not only sets up the audience for the movie as poetic and something to anticipate, but the way it also brings in the emotional connections you have for the heros and villains of the previous two movies. This wasn't just cutting clips to make a movie look epic, this was something made by a true star wars fan that understood the key moments in this movie. I have never been so excited to rewatch a movie I've seen 100 times. 100/10

This is how the original trailer should have been. Not revealing too much of the plot but teasing enough to get us eager to rush to the theaters. Loved it, hope you'll do other modern trailers!!

Love how it even gives the impression that Vader shows up at some point, without specifically implying that Anakin becomes Vader. Like, it almost implies that Vader is some hidden apprentice or something that shows up out of nowhere, which was what it was like for many jedi

Which Jedi actually knew that Vader was Anakin by the time of like the Kenobi series?
@@coreyworthingtonii9230 The only one's who were semi aware were yoda and obi wan, but even obi wan didn't know he survived and was in the suit. If you really get down to it Qui gon might have been the only one who knew because he was a part of the force and watching over anakin

He even changed the color in the image to make it look like mustafar
that was some Marvel trickery. not fond of trailers that show fake scenes. but for a fan-made one, I will let it slide

‘Restraint’ is the most important word for a successful trailer/tease, and you are correct - this is masterfully done.
People knew back in in the '80s they fought. MCU has brainwashed zoomers into thinking everything's a spoiler.

@@L_Martin I think it was the ROTJ novelization that mentions them fighting over a volcano. That's the earliest that I know of.
In an ocean of prequel re-edits, this is by far the greatest, most carefully done one.
This is perfection. I love the scenes that you edited to make the audience think something else was going on, very accurate to modern trailers

I love the fact you built up Anakin's character, all of the characters and their doubts about him. The nightmares, it makes his turn more believable and puts the Jedi in bad light. Anakin is practically "Vader" already in this, the sad fact is nobody really realizes it until it's far too late. In this there are truly no "good guys" in the Sith/Jedi sense. Senator Organa looks like the only sane voice in the madness. Very fitting.

The secret to a good trailer is not giving away too much, or revealing important plot points visually. And in this regard, you have done BEAUTIFULLY. This gave chills as much as the "rise" teaser that originally came out in 2004.
It’s very rare for everyone to know exactly how a movie is going to end…and that movie still comes out AMAZING.
This is breathtaking work. Not only is it superior to the actual trailer back then but does a much better job in communicating what the film was actually about. Concise yet sprawling, mysterious but with enough bread crumbs to keep me intrigued. Watching this makes me feel like I haven't seen the film yet--well done!
Are you thick in the head? This trailer does none of what you're suggesting, This trailer only works if you had already seen the film.
Infact, The only way you could think this was a good trailer is if you had not seen ep, 4/5/6/1/2.
This movie is not so " Deep" that it warrant's any form of critical thinking.
Pretending or assuming this is a good example of anything is a show of an extreme lack of intelligence.
Superior to the actual trailer isn't exactly a high bar - that trailer sucked lmao. That being said, it doesn't dilute the fact that this one was masterfully done. Outstanding work. 👏👏👏
I disagree, especially about the “communicating what the film was actually about” part. In fact it does the exact opposite. The clones weren’t aiming at Obi-Wan and this person changed Dooku’s lightsaber color to blue when Anakin caught it in the air. Unnecessary misdirection IMO. I actually appreciated the OG trailer more because even though it spoiled most of the movie, they realized that most of the audience already knew what was going to happen, so there was no point in trying to hide the best parts of the movie from the trailer. I can still remember the hype for it was insane.
Lots of scenes edited to hide spoilers as well as mis-Directions commonly used in modern trailers! :)

There's so much to love about this. I especially love when Obi-Wan is "facing off" the Stormtroopers when in reality its Anakin. Such a clever thing to add since modern trailers will often do the same thing, misdirecting the audience. Great work, superb

I didn't see this until now, but this is absolutely breath-taking. The fooling of the clones on Mustafar makes it seem like Obi-Wan is killing the clones, making him look like the bad guy, but we all know what actually happens. That's just what I got from that. The music, text, and the alignment of clips just works so great together, and It provides such large room for interpretation and mystery that when you watch the actual movie, your mind-blown. Very well done, I'm going to subscribe and like :)

I love how this re-edit of the trailer paints the Jedi as the evildoers. How it makes it look like Anakin is trying to stop them. If this was the trailer in 2005, people would’ve lost their minds. The misdirection in this is great. I love how he changed the color of Dooku’s saber to blue to make us think “oh that’s probably just Obi-Wan’s saber”. Then we see Mace with a red lightsaber blade. Really makes it seem like the Jedi were the bad guys.
Need a full movie re-edit now to invert the saber colors... see if it feels completely different and showcases anakins point of view. Doubt it works but still... would be interesting.

I appreciate the attention to detail. Not only was Dooku's saber turned blue, but I also noticed that Mace Windu's saber was turned red. It definitely had a modern feel to it.

I love how even though everyone knows Anakin is Darth Vader but this trailer is like what will Anakin do, which side will he choose. I love trailers like these as it leaves it up in the air in case someone is new to the Star Wars Franchise this way they don't get spoiled.

This is absolute GOLD!! Gave me chills. The way you didn’t show Vader in the suit but only gave that 1 breath at the end was amazing. This is better than every official trailer for the film!

@The Stanley's ll the sith wanted was peace throughout the galaxy, and Jedi always tried to stop them. Jedi would corrup their own, they would steal children to train then as soldiers. They wouldn't allow their soldiers to form any attachments, and they would use the force to manipulate people into doing what they want (mind trick)

@@jayeff8646 Not according to Lucas. He never intended that interpretation. The Jedi were always trying to do what was best for all and were never seeking power for themselves. The Sith were unabashedly malevolent. If you think the Jedi are the bad guys, I'd say that says more about you than them.

gosh, that was an amazing trailer. The ending scene where it cuts to black and you just hear Darth Vader breathing gave me goosebumps. Good job on this.
Not sure which of your _Revenge of the Sith_ trailers I like the most, as they are all so amazing and beautiful in their own way. I absolutely love the addition of the «The Dark Side has never been stronger…» line, and Mace and the Jedi seemingly confronting Anakin is just an absolute chef's kiss (as is the red colouring of Mace's blade and blue colouring of Dooku's, and the 501st pointing their blasters at Obi-Wan)! I can really picture being hyped for the upcoming _Episode III_ and seeing this in the theatre. I would become so filled with hype after seeing this that I would hardly be able to contain myself, I can tell ya that much. Even now it makes me want to gather my friends and rewatch the films all over again. You truly are a master at what you do, so I can only say: Another happy landing!

Hello there. I've never seen any Star Wars movie. I'm not sure how I ended up on this video. But if I ever have to watch one, this looks like a pretty great one to start at! I know people complain the prequels had too much space politics, but this looks like any good modern Mission Imposible/Marvel/actiondrama.

An absolute masterpiece! Trailer shows great special effects, big battles BUT doesn't spoil anything, just as trailer should do! Someone watching it first time would think of main villain being Dooku and Windu! 11/10
Wouldve been a sick arc honestly. With straight up sidious and anakin executing mace after all the work he'd put in at being a council insider/betrayer. Very 'shoot the man after the job is finished to tie off all loose ends' esque.

Guys, at 0:17, you can see some blaster shots on the pillars behind Obi-Wan. That's the Jedi temple. I think that the Jedi temple will be attacked.

This was amazing! RotS was one of my favorite of the saga and this trailer gave me goosebumps all over again. Not only was it well crafted, you avoided giving away major plot points and revelations while still keeping what was going on interesting. Well done 🙂

Why would it need to be rewritten? Why waste time on something that is perfect the way it is instead of focusing on re-doing the sequels
@@Bdubsky yes. People are complaining about „wooden Dialoge“, and don’t get it, that it was Lucas his INTENTION to write this way. The prequels are good as they are. Of course there are improvements, but in art there are ALWAYS improvements that can be done. Only thing i would wish is to see the 4hour cut of revenge of the Sith and less jar jar binks in Episode 1.
@@Bdubsky because the dialogue is absolutely terrible in the prequels. Good characters and cool designs, but the plots for each individual film leaves something to be desired

Done so well. I feel like this is a trailer for someone that's coming to Star Wars for the first time. It doesn't show too much of the movie but enough for the viewer to have a feel for what the movie will be like. Other fanmade trailers, I feel, show too much like the final battles and important plot points. This one just hits it just right and how a trailer should be. 10/10
I really loved and appreciated the misdirection of the edits (making it seem as if Count Dooku is more prominent, not showing the Emperor in full regalia) Like a proper trailer it gives you an idea of the story but keeps you in the dark otherwise. Excellent work!
