How to Cover Back Deck with Roof

- Hey everyone , today we are back at the house working on the deck.
As you may remember we added some square footage to the back deck a few months ago. Today we are going to start working on the framing to put a roof over part of the deck

Please don't tell me that this is final version.. this roof hanging just on several screws from the sides which is pretty unstable and weak connection.

@@homesteadingwithsadie hi, I checked part2 and really can tell that is a way "how to not" build a roof. Roof panels are sags because of very big distance between rafters and battens. Everything is out of any code of any US/CA part - it is just unsafe (in case of wind/snow). If it still working for you - good, but I really recommend you to check some codes (or other youtube videos) just to make it more rigid and safer.
Sorry for the rude comments, I just want to leave a message to others that this is unacceptable way to build.
Maybe it’s just me, or maybe I don’t know the dynamics of your relationship, but he seems a little condescending towards the lady.
