      Korean is also way easier as it has the same numbers of letters in their alphabet as ours.

    At 2:24 you wrote 잭 instead of 책 (same goes for 공책 just above it)! I am also a Korean learner myself so I know it's easy to forget the extra line, but it completely changes the word, so I thought I should mention it. I am preparing for TOPIK in October so thank you for the study motivation ^^

    I've been learning Korean for a little bit and I've been using TTMIK's books/workbooks/podcasts/etc. for pretty much everything hahah 😂 I'll have to give the Soo series a try since I've been struggling with the vocabulary a bit.

    4. focus = vocab

    hi there! two apps i’d recommend are:
    1. korean word of the day- the name is pretty self explanatory, it gives you one word per day + example sentences
    and
    2. infinite korean- helps with vocab
    hope these help ! :)

    I recommend learning Grammar at first. When you know enough grammar it's always easy to learn vocab. I learn vocab through context not from any vocab lists. I found it to be really helpful. Through context it is easy to find the most used words of a language. I do write vocab lists on my own sometimes but I don't force myself to learn them. When I *really* need a word I will definitely remember it so I always wait until the right time. (IDK if this is the right method, but I think I'm improving though.)

    I’m about to start learning mandarin - anyone have any tips if they are learning it and significantly making progress?
    (Btw this will be a COMPLETELY new language for me, I’ve never learned a tonal language before. I only know English (upper intermediate), Russian (native), and French (intermediate).

    • @RandomDuck__
      @RandomDuck__ 2 роки тому

      The tones are *hard* it's normal to mess them up. Cantonese is the first language I learned and I speak it everyday at home but I still struggle with Mandarin tones 😩 I'm learning Mandarin rn. I actually learned a little from this cartoon when I was around 7 or 8 but I didn't start taking actual classes until I was 11. As for tips try making friends with people that also learning Mandarin that you can talk to as you will learn naturally that way. Ik a bit of Vietnamese bc of my parents and grandparents speaking it occasionally (I'm also trying to learn it online). Shows might also work as that's how I started but I was young then and it was easier for me to remember everything.
