A small note from me... jazmine :) Hi everyone, I hope you are keeping well. I've realised that my stroke order is wrong with Hangul thanks to your very helpful comments, and it was my mistake.😊 By learning Japanese for 5 years and doing it as a Major, I understand how important it is to learn stroke order with Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji. You would be so surprised that I still write some hiragana wrong after all of these years😭! Learning Languages is my NO.1 hobby (after coffee and moccas), and I know how slow but greatly rewarding the process is. (And yes I realise that I won't be good at Korean for at least 1 year lol) And of course I always strive to show you my real and honest learning process. It's not perfect, neither is it the right way for everyone, but I'm here to boost your motivation which in turn boosts mine 😆... and that's why I keep making videos! Thank you for always supporting me and see you in the next video 💕 Love, Jazmine
Hey, Do you powerpoint slides for like absolute beginners that you don't mind sharing via google drive? Thank you so much for this video by the way, it's quite motivating since I'm studying both languages.😊
I think that's no such a thing as "writing wrong". At the end of the day if you can still manage to write the character in a way you and people who's gonna read can identify them it is ok! The strokes order makes them easier to write (mostly cause people used to write with brushes back then) and I think it's cool for us learner to know them (i think it's respectful toward the culture) but you don't have to feel bad about that at all also. I know I write some korean characters with the wrong order, but it works better for me (maybe cause I'm already used to the japanese order lol). I love your videos, they keep me motivated for my own studies :)

I’m so excited that you’re starting Korean. It’s such an amazing language. Hope this helps anyone who reads it! Also about the ㅎ sound, I recommend the first method with the first stroke up vertically. It is a lot easier to write it that way :D
ive been learning korean for the past 2 ish months and i really recommend that after you learn hangul to search up the 100 most commonly used words in korean it really helped me so much

i agree i used romanizations before i started learning korean and it kinda helps for new learners, but learning the korean alphabet and dropping romanization as soon as possible will help out a lot in the long run. i learned the alphabet in less than a day so it is easily doable! also, words like 맛 can be easily misread as "mas" due to the romanization. using a "t" there would be inaccurate because of ㄷ and ㅌ, but an "s" there may cause confusion. so it is best to learn the korean alphabet and 받침 (letter pronunciation rules) very early on!
@@ron_peasley yeah right and korean ppl doesnt use korean language with romanization something like pinyin in chinese so when a korean learner type some korean sentences/words use romanization, they barely understand it
Good luck with learning korean!! For the handwriting I really recommend you watch lindie botes video "How to write Hangul like a native" it's an old one but I feel like she goes through some good points of writing more naturally. Uh, I am a bilingual Korean-American and I think that ㅎ is easier written with the two horizontal lines compared to the horizontal and the vertical. Of course, both of these are correct, but I just prefer the latter because it’s easier to write when you write it quickly! Edit: by the way I love your videos!
Hi, just wanted to share my language goal for 2021! I would like to advance to N3 for Japanese and start learning Spanish. Mastering these two languages will make them become my third and fourth language! :) 一緒に頑張ってくださいね〜
@@jeremyanneredondo8103 I use a genki workbook PDF online but I have a genki textbook 📕 irl. I only use the PDF for kanji because it’s an insufficient way to learn a language. I used bunpo which helped to learn all my kana but I used an app called Learn Japanese! To memorize it. Right now I’m learning loads of Kanji by using Anki and I’m learning vocabulary with Duolingo and UA-cam videos pretty much anything I see. Although I don’t recommend duolingo if you haven’t finished all your kana it’s bad for that. I use Lingo Deer to learn sentences and stuff. I use a channel ua-cam.com/channels/IciBLpZ6BP2XNYTFXb6eRQ.html to immerge myself into listening and stuff. I’ve already learned conjugation so I collect loads of verbs so I can practice conjugation. I also use Hello Talk to meet people who are Japanese and learning English or also learning Japanese. That pretty much sums it up.
Nice video:) I would say thoug, when learning japanese, espacially reading japanese - cover romaji completly and also the furigana! romaji totally kills pronounciation. And when you have a lot of furigana we tend to read them instead of trying to actually read the kanji! so of course, if it's a new word that you don't know it's great to have them, but I think depending too much on them on kanji you will have to learn soon anyway might be counterproductive^^ but keep it up! Learning multiple languages at once is quite a challenge! So watching your videos is very inspiring:)
I really love your videos they are so motivating but also calming. I am studying Japanese studies so I also have to study Japanese and I really enjoy it 😇 My favourite Kpop group is NCT 💚
I think this video is amazing , I really admire how much you study and it inspires me to continue doing Japanese, thank you for the great video.Which Ipad is that? It looks great.
I'm wondering where you got that japanese story book. Also thanks for the korean app it's definetly gonna be useful to learn the correct way to write and hear the hangul
This video was so calming haha. I’m hoping to study in japan for a few months later this year if the borders open up again! Have you studied Japanese in Japan at all or has all your progress been in the UK? 👼🏻
When you said "Katakana can be hard, right?" I related to it a tiny bit. Kana isn't too difficult, it's the FURIGANA that drives me batty, but it shouldn't! It's literally just smaller kana, but for SOME reason I have a problem with it. My brain is strange lol
I am learning korean too right now and next semester I will start learning Spanish and French (for the next 4years) I wanna be fluent in those 3 languages by 2025, so I can speak 5 languages (plus german/austrian my mother language and English) hehe wish me luck🥺💕
If your still struggling with Hangul u can watch a youtuber called go billy which teaches you Korean alphabet from a foreigners point of view it took me only a few days after watching his videos hope this helped also make flash cards :)
I’ve been learning 한국어 for the past two weeks and the most difficult part for me is the pronunciation. The disadvantage of self-study is that there aren’t anyone to correct you if you pronounced something wrong 😑.
Hey idk if you're using a specific source but howtostudykorean.com provides audios for every word in the vocab, and almost all example sentences. It's really good to hear and repeat so u get a more accurate pronouciation!
@@oh5510 I have been using that but most people are not responsive. And by the time I’m using it people in Korea are already asleep because our time difference is about 10 hours. :(
@@WasanChannel I am learning Japanese and I use hello talk to talk to them. The time difference is huge (I’m EST) and they are 16 hours ahead. I usually text them around 10 ish PM and if I’m lucky 7 ish PM if they are awake. And then sometimes they text me at 9 ish PM and I’d receive it at 9 ish AM idk that’s my kinda schedule. Japan and Korea have different time zones but are close so you can try to do something similar? Also use VR chat! A lot of people on there are awake really early, go to a Korean VR chat world 🗺

Edit: In both Korean, Japanese and in English!
I just started japanese studies from zero in Jan 2021, so my 2021 goal is to go all in to study Japanese. If my progress goes smoothly I might consider to take N3 next year.
Omg your fave is got7! I love you already 😣🥺🥺❤️

I would say the first way. When writing Korean faster, I personally find it easier to write it that way. But it is up to the writer because either would work. It is what you feel most comfortable with :)
Also just a side note: If you want to find other communities that have people beginning to learn Korean and advanced people, there is a community on Amino(Korean Language Amino) and a discord server from that Amino too. I love how nice and helpful everyone is there. Many posts are of Korean grammar structures but there are also beginner guides as well

Hope your journey to learning Korean goes good. 화이팅
*quick question to everyone that knowns how to read and write in Korean, do you write fighting with "hwa/화" or with "pi/피"?*
I think hwa 화이팅
Yay! I love your videos!
Coursera also has a free language classes! I just enrolled in the Korean one from Yonsei University. Learn at your own pace.
I’m new to your channel and I’m hooked💕. It’s so inspiring watch and listen to learn new languages. As of recently I have been actively trying to learn some Japanese and Korean. Thank you again, new subscriber here ❤️
One tip that I reccomend you is write down using both hiragana and katakana as I made when I was at first steps. PS.SORRY FOR MY BAD ENGLISH BUT I'M NOT NATIVE SPEAKER . But I think it's so important know both of them. Believe me!
Your handwriting is pretty cool ! I do korean as a major and your videos are so nice to watch when studying ! My favorite group is Seventeen by the way :)
Oh forgot the romanisation, it will be more difficult with it
Thank's so much! Your comment means a lot coming from a Korean Major! You're the expert :D! Yes I agree! 1 month later and I've dropped romanisation (almost lol)... Yes! I love Seventeen too!!!! 😊💕
I want people to start commenting why they dislike videos and share what they think will make it better
I’m actually learning Japanese right now, and in the future I plan to learn Korean and hanja!
Yay I just startet learning Japanese & your account is such an inspiration!😍

I’m a level 8 on talk to me in Korean IV got 7 days worth of notes taken.. and I want to be fluent in Korean by the end of the year. I want to show that just cause my family is not Korean that I can do what they can not. And I want to push myself.
一緒に頑張ってくださいね〜
I like your handwriting. It's very beautiful! ✨
Thank you Eri 😀😀💕
my language goal for this year is to get past jplt4 by the end of it and learn 1000 kanji
I’m still trying to pass JLPT N5 rn. I think my sources are reliable
@@oh5510 which are?
頑張ってますね〜!すごいです🥰
Love your video so much❤️
Nice video:) I would say thoug, when learning japanese, espacially reading japanese - cover romaji completly and also the furigana! romaji totally kills pronounciation.
4:34 yesss correct
I've just started learning Japanese a few days ago... :)
I studied Korean with you 😊

This video was so calming haha. I’m hoping to study in japan for a few months later this year if the borders open up again! Have you studied Japanese in Japan at all or has all your progress been in the UK? 👼🏻

Learning korean from youtube is fun and more useful
Yes I agree! ✨
My Goal this year is to learn korean and reading chinese

Use hello talk!
@@offensiveburrito9941 I will give this a try, thank you!
