AC/DC..one of the greatest bands..ever! Great listen, keep up the good work. How about deep purple, motorhead, nazareth rankings.
Great ranking! This video should do quite well for you, my AC/DC ranking has over 11,000 views. I wish that I had moved Fly On The Wall a little higher. I have Powerage high, but some people have told me that it should have been #1. Also, you wouldn’t believe how many people think that Who Made Who is a studio albums, it’s not it’s a hits and movie soundtrack.
16) Rock Or Bust
15) Stiff Upper Lip
14) Blow Up Your Video
13) Power Up
12) Black Ice
11) Ballbreaker
10) Fly On The Wall (mostly because of the production)
09) The Razors Edge
08) Back In Black (would have been top three 30yrs ago. I never need to hear it again)
07) For Those About To Rock
06) Flick Of The Switch
05) Let There Be Rock
04) Dirty Deeds (The Austrtailian version would place third on my list)
03) Powerage
02) High Voltage
01) Highway To Hell
Powerage is the better than high voltage and high way to hell
27:30 i love powerage dont get me wrong but oh my god this is so true, finally someone said it lol
AC/DC .......................................... Rules !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Powerage, high voltage, and let there be rock are my top three in that order
Top three AC/DC albums for me are:
1) Powerage
2) Let There Be Rock
3) Highway to Hell
I agree Back in Black is great but I do prefer Bon Scotts lyrics and vocal performance. Plus Powerage and Let There Be Rock just have this great raw sound.
Understandable, if you prefer Bon over Brian in a significant degree.
5. Powerage (Cliff's first album)
4. High Voltage (Rob's and Peter's only album)
3. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
2. T.N.T. (Mark's and Phil's first album)
1. Let There Be Rock (Mark's last album)
I look at AC/DC's career with Brian Johnson according to distinct eras. From Back in Black to Fly on the Wall was their arena rock period (with Flick of the Switch being a bit of an outlier). From Who Made Who to Ballbreaker was their heavy metal period. From Stiff Upper Lip to Rock or Bust was their blues period. And then PwrUp was a return to the arena rock sound.
The two eras are distinct, but both are pretty amazing!
1) Highway to Hell
2) Back In Black
3) The Razor's Edge
4) The rest of the Bon stuff
5) The rest of the Brian stuff
6&7) Flick of the Switch & Fly on the Wall
Well, I'm a Bon Scott guy, and I LOVE their bluesy tunes, so for me is:
1. Highway
2. Let There be Rock
3. Powerage
4. Dirty Deeds
5. High Voltage
6. Back in Black
7. Razor's Edge
and the rest is much more, one song here, one song there.... But I do hate the 80's output. (Video/Flick/Fly)
And about the "AC/DC is recording the same album again and again" thing: that is true only for the Brian Johnson era. For me they were a boogie band in the 70's and a hard rock band in the 80's.
Brian:
1) Back In Black
2) For Those About to Rock
3) Flick of the Switch
4) Fly on the Wall
5) Blow Up Your Video
6) The Razors Edge
7) Ballbreaker
8) Stiff Upper Lip
9) Rock or Bust
10) Black Ice
11) Power Up
Bon:
1) Powerage
2) Highway to Hell
3) Let There Be Rock
4) Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
5) High Voltage
Power Up is actually a strong album
By any chance Will you Rank Queensryche or Alice cooper Albums at all ??
I would love to see a kiss or Aerosmith ranking
Laphroaig👌
Some people like Stiff Upper Lip 💋
Number one: Highway to hell
For me the choice I can't do it's the n° 1. Back in black and Highway to hell are on the first position. Impossible to put one in front. For the last I put Blow up ypur video and The razors edge
I think Back in Black is objectively their best album (but not my favorite). What sets Back in Black apart from albums with similar songwriting, style, and production is more complex song structures. PwrUp, for example, sounds a hell of a lot like Back in Black, but the songs don't vary from the verse/chorus/bridge structure. That more complex song structure makes Back in Black their best album.
But my FAVORITE album of theirs is Ballbreaker. Admittedly I'm biased because that was the album that introduced me to the band when I was 13, but I still feel that every song on the album stands up. And there's great variety of songs on there from straight up metal to blues boogie. And the lyrics are pretty diverse too. It has the sex and booze songs, but there's also more political and social lyrics. Ballbreaker is an amazing album.
Good analysis. Its a great discography, so the discussion about which album and why is interesting. Thanks for watching!
Can you please do megadeth one day?
I pronounce it "Pow-er-Rage" as well lol
Mercyful Fate ranking?
Sorry Harry Vanda 😂
Yeah, I misspoke. I obviously don’t rehearse these…
@@michaelhaughey8921 going live isn't easy I know mate. You did a good job, nice video. Thanks ✌️😊 they somehow lost the classic spark in the latter albums for me. I'd be listening to rock or bust. Then put the Australian TNT album on. No comparison. Although I did see em on their last tour front row and rock or bust went off as a opening song live.
Blow up your Video was one of the better releases, it was before Brian Johnson went Donald duck!
Noooooo! Powerage is their finest album. It is the absolute essence of the band...even Malcolm said so. Not a filler on it. B in B is a little overrated....only four really great songs on it...all classics though.
FTATR over LTBR and Powerage? No
Maybe
