The Best trolling motor I have ever owned. And I have owned a lot of them over the years.
That looks like a solid unit. Garmin hit it out of the park, really put a lot of thought as far as cable management and ease of use. Hope it works well for you Todd!
I like that countersink idea at the bolts to prevent stress cracks in the gel coat👍🏼👍🏼
One thing I saw he didn't mention was u should also pay attention to the head of trolling motor when installing u don't want that thing hanging over the rail it can interfere w boat covers an when u pull up to a dock u don't want head of trolling motor hitting anything. So the angle of mount is very important!
I’m Scott’s chase driver for the southeast and when I’m home this is what I do along with detailing
Garmin trolling motor is a beast we just need a better prop quick!!
Throw a Minnkota 80lb prop on it. Fits right up!!
Solid content as always. Will be putting a Force on to replace a fourtrex...
Start the drill bit in reverse helps too.
That motor is a beast.
I just bought a brand new Phoenix from #1 dealer in US based in KY.
My Garmin install looks 50% correct. I don’t have a 180 degree loop over the deployed position!?!!
Got me wondering issue, non issue or installer preference….no zip ties!
Todd, how did he route your LVS 34 cable across the trolling motor and into the boat without it getting pinched? Seems like it would work better if the LVS cable was ran on the starboard side on the trolling motor.
When you were talking about installing mounting screws on a Basscat did you mean the strap has to be positioned so the screws go through it?
Excellent video by far! I subscribed also. Question if you had to do it again would you choose the Kraken over the Force?
Man that's a bad trolling motor,Garmin don't make no junk, lol, thatvthing would throw me out the boat lol, nice job on the video good stuff
Great video brother!
Does this motor have a plug in power plug? Great video
Scott and Hallman get you to make the jump lol
@@Ace228 oh I ldk lol I’ve never met Todd or Hallman I came around when scott made elites.
Is all the hate for this motor coming from the Minn Kota folks? I’m so torn on Ultrex quest vs Force. I have all garmin electronics so the Force makes the most sense but lots of complaints about the foot pedal response, gps over-correcting, etc. I’ve always had a Fortrex or basic cable steer so having a hard time deciding between the quest and the Force.
I don't hear anyone talk bad about the force, I haven't had an issue with it. I love it
4.5 mph trolling motor....I bet your eyes lit up at that. 😂
very surprised you didnt go with quick release plate..
Great video but I'm Ghost guy brother!
Now you can cover water faster than before lol. You fish fast I bet you can hit 5mph maybe more with a force.
What made u go garmin instead of the minnkota 1:03
so what kind of wiring harness did he use?
We make our own in house so we know everything on it is something we can stand behind when we install it!

Where is the second video of you wiring it for live scope
FYI…..I hate the Garmin trolling skeg!!!! It’s rubber it doesn’t protect the prop and it will bend under the pressure of the boat cover. Carry an extra troll prop mine in chewed up because the skeg is crap and the prop is harder than other brands and it breaks and chips easily
Garmins offers a longer skeg that’s not rubber, but it’s pricey.
I’m gonna have a few 3d printed of the original skeg made for me that should perform better and protect the prop.
I say "worst case Ontario" a little Rickyism from trailer park boys.
Uhhhhhhhh, yeah, drilling holes in my boat is cringe worthy indeed. That's why I don't do my own installation. YIKES!!!!!!😩
I know you fish a lot of big water. Did you consider going with the 57’ inch shaft? What made you decide to go with the 50?
