      Hi Paul, thank you for watching my video. I'm going to confess, I purchased the DumboRC X6FG radio system, with the intention of using it in the Scania R620. But mistakenly, did think about the need to programme the dual rates..dah!. so I've purchased this radio, as it comes complete with the self centring kit for the left stick, easy to upgrade the firmware and easy to programme the dual rates and even better, works with the FlySky AFDHS2A system of receivers that I already run in my cars, yeh! radio was £45.85 delivered. take care and best wishes

      Hi Addam and thank you for watching. This is a very smart looking radio from FlySky. I had to purchase this for the Scania R620, I was hoping to have used the DumboRC 6ch system that I bought, but mistakenly did think about the programming parameters that I needed, so had to buy this radio gear. Glad I did, as it’s really quite good, the Chinese, they are shrewd business wise 😊😉😊take care and best wishes to you and the family 😉😊😉

      Hi there and thank you for watching. This is a very high specification radio for the money. I paid £45.85 delivered for this radio, granted I had to buy a more suitable receiver for land based vehicles, but for the money, it’s very good value. Take care and best wishes to you and the family 😊😉😊

    • @JF-RC
      @JF-RC  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Mark, thank you for dropping by my friend. I have to be honest here, I made a bit of an error purchasing the DumboRC X6-FG system. I was hoping that I would be able to use that system for the Scania R620, but, silly John, didn’t think! I did think about the programming parameters of the dual rates for the channels 2 and 4 of the Scania R620, Dah! So I had to purchase a more suitable radio, I was looking at the FlySky FS-i6X system, but with this system, I need to buy a self centring kit for the LHS stick. So I opted for the FlySky FS-i6S, as it came with the self centring kit, but also, more importantly, operates on the AFHDS2A frequencies, so all my FlySky FS-GT5 receivers, work with this radio too, and I can now programme the radio for the Scania R620, yeh! Take care, best wishes to you and the family 😉😊

      Hi there, thank you for watching. Yes, this is quite a clever bit of kit. The Chinese are very shrewd, when it comes to tech. This radio was only £45.85 from eBay (RapidOnline Electronics), and as I mistakenly thought I could use a wheel radio for the Scania R620, when I couldn’t, I needed a programmable stick set. Take care and best wishes to you and the family 😊😉😊

    Ooh you little tease! I reckon it's a Tamiya tank kit that you are doing next because that's right up your street. Enjoy it whatever it is. Radio looks really nice. Good stuff mate 🙂

    • @JF-RC
      @JF-RC  2 роки тому

      Hi Pete, thank for you for watching. I would love to tackle a Tamiya Tank kit. But unfortunately out of my budget 😉. This radio is for the Scania R620. I made a slight error with the purchasing of the DumbRC 6 channel system; you cannot programme the various parameters on the DumboRC system, so had to purchase a FlySky FS-i6 system. I was going to buy the FS-i6X system, but you then needed to purchase the additional self centring kit for the left stick. So opted for this FS-i6S system, which comes with the self centring kit as standard, it was only £45.85 on eBay, from RapidOnline Electronics, bonus is it uses the AFHDS2A frequency, the same as my GT5 radio gear, so the receivers will bind to this system too. Hey hum! I’ll use the DumboRC for another project. Mind you, you’re not wrong about the Tamiya Tank being right up my street, maybe when I’m old enough to have one 😂🤣👊🏼😊😉take care, best wishes to you and the family 😊😉

    Hi John very smart radio set really looks the business. With that many channels to play with I first thought you were going into RC jets. Really interested to see your next project. Best wishes and take care

    • @JF-RC
      @JF-RC  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Peter, this set is definitely better for the Scania R620. I can now programme the dual rates for channels 2 and 4 and I hoping to programme some mixing for channel 1 the steering, to make the indicators work with the steering, without having to pull back on channel 2 at the same time as steering. I would love to learn to fly a proper fixed wing model RC, but it’s finding a suitable club and person to teach. Sure I’ve got a Tello Drone for indoors and that is relatively easy to learn, as these have gyros and complex flight guidance system programmed in, but a proper fixed wing RC, I would need to be taught properly, as for a Jet RC, oh yes please, but again, would need that professional tuition. Take care and best wishes to you and the family 😊😉😊

    Hi John looks like a good radio I would get lost in all the buttons lol with 10 channel's wiring is going to be a fun task.

    • @JF-RC
      @JF-RC  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Kev, thank you for watching buddy. Hope you and the family are well. Yeah, I made a bit of a mistake purchasing the DumboRC X6FG wheel system, no programmable dual rates, Dah! So had to purchase another radio. Needed one that was a stick radio, needed to be able to have the self centring and be able to programme the dual rates. I was looking at the FlySky FS-i6X, but would have needed to purchase an extra self centring kit, whereas the FlySky FS-i6S came with the self centring kit. I already had a spare FS-6BS receiver, so went for it. Got the wiring all sorted. Take care, best of wishes to you and the family 😉😊😉

    Hey John, thats a nice radio. I have a few Flysky radios for my trucks and they work just fine, never had a problem with any of them. If you skip the self centering kit you get a free built in cruise control 😂 . Hmm if its not for the Scania...maybe youre gonna build a Tamiya Tank?

    • @JF-RC
      @JF-RC  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Mattias, thank you for watching. Yeah, this radio is really very good, I had to quickly download and upgrade the firmware immediately from the FlySky website, really easy to do. Then, install the self centring kit and, done. Program the radio (some help and advice from Bob from Hobby Concepts), and then pair this to the FlySky FS-BS6 receiver, done. Hmmm…..a tank ???? Maybe out of budget, but certainly would be a cool RC 👊🏼😉😊take care and best wishes. 😉

    Thanks for showing John. I'm still searching for a desk transmitter system for a future project. The most important information is the self-centering kit. What are you planning? A semi? Just curious😁

      Hi there, this is a great radio, it comes with the self centring kit as standard too. It’s also has the PS2 port, USB port for upgrading the firmware, even a camera holder screw too. I purchased this on eBay from RapidOnline (well know electronics supplier in the UK) so a trust worthy seller, paid £45.85 inc postage. Good system. And yes, you got me, it’s for my Scania R620 semi truck and trailer. Take care and best wishes. 😊😉😊

      @@JF-RC wow, that´s an awesome price. Here these cost more than tripple. And Carson offers cheaper radios. Great stuff, but without a display. Will check out RapidOnline hoping they´ll ship to Europe, too.

      Hi Craig, thank you for watching. This is a very good radio. I too am very happy with the FlySky radio gear. I have a FS-GT5 radio gear as my main radio and it uses the same AFHDS2A frequency system as the FS-i6S too, so therefore use the same receivers 😉😊. You may remember I purchased a DumboRC 6ch system, I was going to use that for the Scania R620, but needed a stick system, hence this FS-i6S for the Scania R620. Had to quickly upgrade the firmware, to give me the programming features for the Scania, then some help and great advice from Bob @ Hobby Concepts, soon got the radio gear programmed ready for the Scania. Take care, best wishes to you and the family 😊😉😊
