someone you might know soooo cute and I love how she questioned if she’s allowed to make such bold statements like yes please express yourself you’re amazing!!!
She's the way she is because her parents taught her and allowed her to be herself, and to love without barriers ! that's actually really beautiful to see those kind of person on earth
Lighter features are considered in most cultures as more feminine and darker features as more masculine. ´´tall dark and handsome´´ is what girls often say when they describe their ideal men.
@@elmore707 Nah, it's more of the personality type. Latin men behaves more masculine and aggressive compared to north Europeans. The same can be said with Black/African men as well. You don't often hear women wanting to date/marry dark SEA men, except maybe those who are brainwashed like yourself.
rk h natives have darker skin than any Eastern European and are actually the color brown and not tan. So don’t get it twisted either. Greetings from El Salvador
The girl in the black outift was beautiful inside and out. She was so open minded and her mother raised her right. I hope a latin man from LA finds her.
Kim JongBae yes I know that, she said she likes latin men...and she wanted to marry a man in LA so i just blended the two, ALSO i am from LA and theres a lot of latin people here 😂
Jinho-ssi ikr. People are complaining about Koreans only wanting a white person when dating a foreigner (which I understand, I don’t like the Korean stereotype of all foreigners being European with light hair and light skin, which even the majority of European people don’t look like that) but it’s not that great, they see you as a trophy rather than a human being. Most foreigners but White women especially are very sexualized in Korea. Also especially in clubs if you are a foreigner men will just grab you without asking and treat you very differently than they would a Korean woman.
But that also happens with foreigners wanting to have "experiences" with other culture's person!!! This is in general, it happens both ways, but then of course there would be particular cases and situations in which certain people want to have a serious relationships... In any case manh times people just start going out because they feel attracted or get on well with each other, whatever your mindset is like initially it can always change afterwards
AyanamiRei5kyu shes pretty hot...i like her style 💗💗💗 and shes the only one that didnt say she would want to date a white blue eyed person...not knocking white blue eyed people (some are pretty hot 🔥🔥🔥) but i liked that she was different 💗💗💗
Buggin Out with Ms Vanity umm im pretty sure she/he was talking about the english subtitles. I don't think they're talking about the girl with the braids.
Jhope is a literal sunshine this reply was actually meant for someone elses comment about the girl with the braids...i just didnt feel like removing it bc i didnt think anyone would really care bc it was not offending anyone...but thank u for the clarification
"You can't just google translate while fighting" hahaha I feel you on that! The girl at the end blew my mind. I wish most parents can be accepting of all.
The girl with the braids has it down. Most of the people here had stereotypical expectations of what dating a foreigner is like. But she really seemed interested in expanding her experience in life and learning about other people and how they live. To the people that have expectations.. I'll just tell you now. Don't. Having expectations of people from the go (in dating especially) is going to leave you underwhelmed and disappointed. It's best just to go into it with the most open mind you can and expect as little as possible. You never know how people are going to leave their impression. Whether its bad bad bad or great.
right i really respected the way she says shes hasnt experienced it so there is no cons. I really love her mindset on it and it really shows how good of a person she i
people in the comments shouldn't get worked up over them saying they're open to dating different nationalities but mention white people as their ideal. It's just their preferences. I'm black, i'm open to all races/nationalities however my 'preference' is a tall black guy. Doesn't mean I wouldn't still be attracted to/ go for someone who's not black. edit 10/01/2021: it would only be a problem if they said they were ‘open’ but proceeded to put down one race just to build up another or explain why they wouldn’t date a certain race or ethnicity. but they didn’t so it’s all good
T H A N K Y O U.....I can’t blame them for feeling hurt and discouraged, but different people have different preferences and not all Koreans are the same.
This. Think about their exposure too. I'm sure when you mention foreigners they start thinking of what movies or tv shows they have seen. The entertainment industry is heavily influenced by America's Hollywood...
AcridSoul exactly. when you think of hollywood, unfortunately the only race that comes to mind is white so it’s understandable why their first image of a foreigner is a white person. even though korea is becoming more diverse, it’s mainly only seoul that is diverse and seoul isn’t the only place in korea.
@@AcridSoul thank you. That's what was on my mind the whole time they said that. I'm not bothered either. You have to look at it with confidence in your own self. Esp when you have attracted all kinds so let them "say" these things. What they may actually end up going for and open to once they meet people will be different.
lina because that looked like it was slapped with gel and just laid them down straightly which aren’t classified edges unless she’s never done them before because those don’t even look like she has done it before.
For everyone that is upset that their ideal types aren't what you look like... When someone has an ideal type, they almost never date someone that fits their description... You can choose what your ideal type is, but you don't choose who you actually fall for... They have their dream man/ woman in their head, but who they will fall in love with is most likely going to be someone completely different. Love doesn't surface, it's much deeper than that...
My grandparents on my dads side are Korean, and they told me that when my dad ran off to America to get married to my mom, they were furious. But then when my dad called them and told them that they were having me, my grandparents were so happy and they supported my dads decision.
I swear Koreans have such a different mind and thinking than any other people I’ve met. Like the guy that was explaining about the nose bridge etc like bruh how did you even come up with that tho
ahahah I thought the same, like boy whatcha talkin about. The nose bridge is so big you can't see the other eye? Even if he's talking about the side profile. It is hard to see both eyes from a side profile anyways, regardless of the nose shape XD
I feel like most koreans in general are overthinkers not in a bad way though. Like most people from other country are more laidback and don’t really care but most koreans really think and observe more. I guess that show in how they make their music, their films, music videos are very high on visual and aesthetics, also their fashion is another example.
@John I didn't mean that they originally created fashion but how they put together different styles, how they dress themselves, if you search Korean fashion there's already a styling pattern you will see, which is very specific to only Korean people, you can't really see those styling or trends in other countries. They have created their own styles and trends over the recent years. The street style in Korea is very individualistic and experimental. Take kpop for example, if you see bright coloured hair with colorful mismatched and flashy concepts in styling you'll be able to tell that its kpop style.
If you don’t have a flat nose bridge, you won’t understand. I don’t have a problem with mine but I’m probably only even aware of it being a thing because my aunt brought it up when I was young (telling me she was glad my nose wasn’t as flat as hers). Then you look at some white people and you’re like...yeah, they do have a high nose bridge 😂
They’re talking about language barriers but I’m like “how tf are you gonna make it as far as establishing a relationship AND THEN be concerned about miscommunication??” Idk many people who are willing to date someone they can’t hold a conversation with 😂
I don’t think any of them should date a foreigner; even if they have or wanted to. There are not strong enough to handle the relationship. They are too worried about what others think and their ideas, more than actually working in the relationship to make it work. This video to me felt like it’s a dream for them and not something obtainable in reality. But I know A LOT of Americans who think the same way. So I don’t blame it on them being Korean; it’s human nature. To me, any relationship your decide to had is work. And you do the work because you want to be with that person; no matter the obstacles.
Laerke MA WHAT?! You are beautiful, stop lying to yourself. Everybody has something that makes them beautiful. You might find that thing in the future but the most beautiful thing to have right now is confidence❤️
kawaii lexi mole You’re a hater and I am black British but I was born in Sweden. Most swedes look like models and there’s hardly anyone that’s overweight stop telling lies !!! In October I went back there and took some of my friends the minute we landed in the airport they were shocked at how beautiful they are.
kawaii lexi mole It seems like you have a problem understanding simple English, just because I stated that the minute we landed in Sweden my friends were in awe of the people they saw doesn’t mean I am just referring to people in the airport. Secondly my father grew up in Norway so you don’t have tell me that Norway and Sweden are two different countries. You said that majority of Scandinavian females are overweight, well that’s false. You can google it, just because the Norwegian girls you are around are overweight doesn’t mean other Scandinavian females are aswell. Why generalize eh ? That’s what haters do, so stop spreading false information
Instead of their ideas on 'dating' a foreigner, I'd like to see an interview on if they would ever consider marrying a foreigner. There's a popular saying that almost all foreign girls in Korea know, which is "riding the white horse" (yes, referring to white foreigners) meaning Korean men will date foreigners but most would never consider actually marrying them bc they care too much about what society and their parents think, no matter how racist or wrong they are.
Sarah Kupka one of them literally said he’d be open to marrying a foreigner and others said skin type doesn’t matter only language/cultural barriers make it difficult. OBVIOUSLY there are some people only after sex but that’s the same in every country lol. Don’t generalise that all Koreans just want to ‘ride the white horse’ when some people in this video and many Koreans IRL are a lot more open minded than that. You seem like you’re running with quite a closed mind/stereotype. Everyone has different intentions and thoughts.
@@lipglass Not really, obviously a lot of people wouldn´t mind marrying a foreigner especially the younger Generation, but their parents are very close-minded and wouldn´t be accepting of their kid marrying a foreigner. Things are luckily changing as times go on.
OK, as a Korean, trust me, not all of us would like to date a foreigner who's caucasian or latin, 'cause I think that people from all over are very charming, and I know for a fact that I'm not the only one who thinks this. I think that they immediately jump to those two categories because the other groups lack presentation in Korea, like even in America you don't see many people from the Middle East starring in major films (I THINK THEY SHOULD CHANGE THIS). So it's a matter of underrepresentation, since many American films make it to Korea. Shows and others included. It's also that the caucasian look is the ideal beauty standard for many Koreans. That's why there's plastic surgery to westernize the Korean features. And with new K-pop songs infused with Latin vibes, they are also being more represented. And Despacito, 2017's hit summer song? that just ya know, boosts them in publicity. Please don't have the misconception that all Koreans prefer only caucasian or latin people, there's Koreans who diversify their horizons, don't worry!!
Rachel Kwon I know what you're saying. I'm Black and I had a Korean boyfriend, well he was Korean and Chinese, the first Asian bf was Thai and Irish. And this was all before KPOP was popping. I date who I'm attracted to and if they return the attraction.
Honestly, I don't think there will be any stigma, as I'm not too sure if Koreans can totally identify what a mixed person looks like. Unlike America, Korea is like, full of Koreans, and mostly Koreans, so we all just generally know what Korean people look like. But in the terms of beauty standards, there's a different standard of beauty for just Koreans, and for races that aren't Korean. Like, Koreans favor pale skin, small faces, and etc, but that's for Koreans, they wouldn't expect someone who was born with naturally dark skin, black, latino or otherwise, to just like, have pale skin. Like for me, I think that every human has beauty, and the younger generation in Korea is also starting to come to terms with that. I don't think you have to be worried at all :) From my experience, Koreans find other races very interesting, and you probably will be confronted in Korea, asking if you if you need help or something navigation wise, but Koreans do that 'cause they like to be generous, or they want to practice their English. You probably will also receive stares, but it's not anything bad, it's just because you're different. (different is not bad at all i'm not trying to say anything offensive so if i do im soooo sorry)
Eun Mi was raised with a good mom. Her statement at the end was beautiful. Love is Love. I feel like when ever Koreans think of Westerner's they think of mostly Caucasian's with the Blonde hair, Blue Eyes and a Tall Nose making that seem attractive when in reality that's not how it is most of the time. This may be their "ideal" type of foreigner in their head and what they would like to be in a person but once they meet their loved one it'll be different at times. The heart wants what it wants, there's no changing that.
I think they say white, blond, blue eyes Foreigner because it's such a generic stereotype of foreign. Their mind automatically goes to Europe assuming that type of look, and they probably haven't traveled to another country so they don't really know what to say. Other than the generic. Where is if you actually got in a deeper conversation with them or they had experienced having friends from other countries, or having traveled to other countries, then maybe they would say something different.
I don’t like to just assume people have bad intentions/secondary intentions. That could just be a flaw of mine but it’s just something I don’t do. Now I’m an Latin male and I might not fit her mold but I’m not offended by what she said, lol. It’s her preference. I think she could have worded it better but I see no harm personally. But what offends me isn’t necessarily what should offend others and vice versa
So what if she said she likes that specific looks?!! I’m pretty sure most of us have a bias if you’re into kpop. Its like you prefer those looks more and find them attractive. But it doesn’t really mean anything in the real world. I’m pretty sure half of these people if they get along with a person of color, be it black, yellow, red, green whatever they would forget about those looks and just appreciate the person. For example i find asian guys who have monolids very attractive. Notice how i didnt say i only like asian guys with monolids or i hate guys without monolids. And to tell you the truth I’m actually dating a asian guy but he’s indian and he has really big eyes opposite of what i find attractive but it doesn’t matter to me.
FKUCLA that’s not completely on her?? yes many korean people said white people, but what do you expect??? they’re in korea?? where most of their people are korean?? they have little to no contact with foreigners on a day to day basis and have to see it just through media. when you see latin men on tv/online they’re usually olive, oiled, big, and tall. when you see “americans” they’re usually blue eyed and blonde. we should be blaming hollywood, societal norms and outdated beliefs!!
If asked to describe a stereotypical foreigner, it would be a white person. So what do you expect? Koreans just described the stereotypical foreigner in their eyes
*Looks in the comments* A lot of comments saying they want Americans and yadda yadda. *Watches the video* Chris Hemsworth (Austrailian) Justin Beiber (Canadian) English Russian girls Latin Latin Caucasian/African American Filipino French .... Like, did we not watch the same video?
When they talk about cultural differences it kinda annoys me. So what you're from another culture. If you really love each other just try to do some of their tradition and them your traditions. It's not like they will be like a little baby and be like : you have to follow my culture and its traditions. It also isn't good that you would want someone that looks like your type. Personality is so important. If i see someone that is my type, but has a personality i can't handle, automatically they would start to look different to me. And it's kinda weird how they didn't mention personality.
This was featured in Koreaboo which was eventually shared on Twitter. I got very interested because I think there are only few Koreans who date foreigners and so I got curious on what these Korean people's insights were. And yes that dude at 1:02 says it right, "love has no nationalities," a big thumbs up to that!
white white white white, blue eyes blue eyes blue eyes, as expected. But it's cool though, foreigners also have standars. Can you turn into Kim Woo Bin? or into Lee Dong Wook? those are my standards
The thing about the big nose bridge made me laugh xD I have a big nose but I never thought it would be considered as a difficulty when talking to me ahahah
am I the only who thinks that most parts of the video is ridiculous and hella funny? being white, tall, blonde and having blue eyes doesn't mean they're automatically attractive... a person can have these features but can still be unattractive imo
kidney function is not a right it's a privilege they're mentioning factors they like. I don't really find blue eyes attractive, but that doesn't mean I think every green/dark eyed person is gorgeous.
As a white American living (and therefore dating) in Korea, this video was really frustrating to watch. "Positive" stereotypes are still stereotypes nonetheless, and as a white American woman I cannot express how FRUSTRATING it is to date here because of the preconceived notions Korean men often have about me. At least in the context of a foreign woman/Korean man, the guy saying he likes foreign women because they're "more open-minded" is a massive red flag. It's become synonymous with meaning "easy" or "sexually adventurous". In the very beginning, note how one of the guys even says he things "the clash of cultures would be fun/interesting" and, if you have a chance, you should "try it at least once." This is a reflection of another one of the huge problems foreigners have dating here, which is that it's okay to DATE a foreigner (for fun), but that Koreans should still MARRY another Korean. We're basically fun, novelty, trial-runs. To me, the Koreans who talk about dating foreigners like this are the same kinds of people as those who go off backpacking on their gap year to "experience the world". It's fucking annoying.
it is a problem if you want to have a serious relationship and potentially get married. It's fine if you want a hook up though, it's good that they are willing then😋 But i've noticed that they consider foreigners more "easy" comparing to Korean women.
good point momo. If they are willing to date they should be thinking about marriage as a possibility after a few months of dating. Same thing back in the states like for example black guys who would date white girls but would never marry one and white guys who would "date" black girls but would never wanna bring one home to mom. Just stupid. I think its more negative towards white women than white men though. Like a Korean girl would probably be more open to marrying a white man than a Korean man being open to marrying a white girl... I don't know. maybe.
she's beautiful inside and out i wish there were more people like her also bless her mom i wish my mom was open minded like hers. ohhh do you have twitter?
My exact thought. Every time when some one is asked if they'd date a foreigner they mention the language barrier. As if it's a given that neither of the sides speaks other's language. Is it really that hard to learn tho? If I met someone who speaks a different language that I do, I'd try my best to learn that language, and tbh I'd expect my partner to do the same. Or at least learn one common one so we can converse freely. (I'm not a native English speaker, so I already had to learn a second language to be able to communicate with more people, and I don't think that it is that hard, it just requires some work and devotion).
@@Aquariuspeg you really think its that easy....? it can take more than four years to be fluent in a language. its difficult, you cant expect a successful relationship if all you can talk about is the weather, or ur favorite food. and besides all that, a language barrier can stop you from expressing yourself to the fullest, like how you would with ur native language. lol not to mention all the other differences. if ur devoted, yeah it might work. but it isnt so easy
It's really difficult if you don't speak Korean. Most Koreans don't speak English or just very little. Or they are just to shy to use it, since they'd rather not speak than make any mistakes trying. Second, if you are not interested in anything physical they tend to not be interested since, and I'm really sorry to say this, but most of them just wanna get physical for a night or so with foreigners. Many are just looking for FWB or Hookups. The best way is to get to know someone through your Korean friends, if you have any. Because even making "just" friends, is hard in Korea. They all already have their friends, and it's not really easy to become a part of that group..But if you do have friends, they can help you with one of their friends. Those are more reliable and it's the easiest way to get a date in Korea.
Courtney yeah I do think it would be easier. Not easy, but easier! Koreans are already in their group of friends and it seems like they don’t want to step out of those or expand it. Also I feel like if you find friends, it won’t be easy to get really close, you know what I mean? I‘m sorry to say that but the friendships I‘ve made here are kind of superficial... The easiest way to find some korean friends would be to go to language exchange groups and start from there.
I'm dyinggg at this. its true tho, not just Korean guys in Korea either. I think that in any place where you're not the same nationality, its hard to get past the " just a good time" part and find someone who is actually willing to seriously date.
It was cool to know that Koreans are as interested to date foreigners just as others would like to date them.... however, 2 things sadened me: most their ideal persons were white..... I am latin and most latins are not white, blue eyed....... also: foreigners are willing to accept cultural differences but it seemed that when it comes to serious relationship, koreans are afraid. Koreans should remember: to a foreigner: a koreans is also foreigner.... we are both dating foreigners.......
@@tinglemydingle4197 she's not saying that, she's saying that koreans should remember that for us (Latin people), koreans are also foreigners, so we are both dating foreigners.
btw the guys have all the same stereotype about foreign girls : white, blonde hair, light eyes, preferably russian, small nose etc... i'm glad i like girls :-)
mochiest mochi im russian but im tanned and I have dark curly hair because my grandpa is from france but yeah many russians look like that but I think germans look like that too? I know a few and they look like that mostly
Katja H. I do look like a Russian even tho I am german (Actually mixed but yah) LOL! When I arrived in seoul the cashier asked my boyfriend if I was Russian 😅
Honestly, I wasn't expecting they would pick a foreigner from south east Asia, but when that dude at 2:29 said Philippines, I just jumped out in joy ! And because of that I'll subscribe and thumbs up !
I like how younger Koreans are more open. I just saw a super sad video of a Korean guy and Black-Asian girl planning thier wedding. The guy's and the girls parent straight up disowned them. Both parents of both couples did not attend their wedding due to rigid beliefs. It was all vlogged on youtube: "Brought my blasian fiancée to meet my Korean parents unannounced"
KuroiYuki13 so, the Muslim Sudanese Dad, stepmom, and all siblings did not attend due to religious issues. He wanted the Korean guy to convert to Islam but was fine with the race. Biological Mom and that part of the family came. So, 1 out 4 parents came. No one from Korean guys family came (mom, dad, and siblings too)
I mean, most of the black latinos were taken as slaves as were the african americans, i just meant the lighter skinned population Srry for coming off as "soooo dumb"
I knew they were gonna say white before they even said it 😂 it's so sad , I'm an Arab and I live in Canada but when I used to live in emirates everyone fantasized about being with a white man/woman and I never heard anyone say "I would love to date an Arab". I'm not shaming anyone who prefers white people it's fine but it bothers me that people are choosing white people over their own race or any other race because they're more "beautiful" . White people will forever remain as the "perfect" people. Arabs will forever be vilified and viewed in a negative way. (not all ofcourse) Edit: if you're going to comment something, plz avoid hate and racism. Stay mature please. Also , seems like everyone is misinterpreting my comment. Yes, I know arabs are beautiful. No, I do not hate white people and no I don't want to be them. I love everyone. FINAL REMINDER PLZ AVOID HATE COMMENTS
Adona 1234 BEAUTIFUL,???? IF THEY WAS SO BEAUTIFUL THEN WHY THEY DOING EVERYTHING TO NOT LOOK WHITE,? Baking in sun, lips, breast and ass implants, really??? How REDICULOUS they are 😣and YES, I'M BLACK AND PROUD AND WOULDN'T DREAM IF BEING WHITE😣
Whaaat. I shouldn't be the one to tell you at all, but you guys ARE beautiful! Generally speaking, you have big, intense eyes, beautiful smiles and skin. Those are great physical traits everywhere! In many Arab countries there is wonderful hospitality and care for friends and family... So please don't let how the media is portraying your people affect you, it follows an agenda of either using "other people" as a scapegoat-historically, politicians have done this so many times- or portraying a lot of good people as the few who are doing wrong. Do you 💙
Inés Escobar I never said it affected me. I will always be proud for who I am. I'm well aware that Arabs are extremely beautiful I never said that they weren't or that they're less attractive that white people. It's just the portrayal of white people in the media that's making everyone want to be them or praise them. A lot of Arab men I've met have wanted to be with only a white woman. A lot of people are blind to the beauty of other cultures because they are deemed "ugly " like my culture for example. We are viewed as terrorists, even though we are not. Its great yo encounter people online who actually have a positive views on Arabs that's usually very rare lmao. thank you very much your comment is very kind ❤
Adona 1234 Adona 1234 Oh right! Glad to hear that, dang✊❤️! I was reading this quickly and I probably should've re-read your comment. It's unfortunate then that so many people have grown used to thinking that way... And same goes for you, your kindness is not so common these days 🤗 Take care!
These are the convos I get lost in ... I am an Arab that does not look Arab .. I look more Russian or eureopean a little Asian ( so I have heard) no one ever thinks im An Arab ... but I felt so glad telling them I was an Arab in Korea ... so they know the variety of beauty we have in the Arab world ... and dude all humans r beautiful 😄 and *as an Arab* *I would highly say Arabs are beautiful dude*
Ummm. Sorry to break it to you but not all Caucasians are beautiful. Some people have the said blue eyes, small face, white skin, tall nose and they still don't look pretty. What's beautiful is beautiful. Don't try to carve a formula for beauty.
Oh but in Korea that is a non factor. I have seen many basic looking people come here and find their "I'm a 10" confidence because they are white and blonde. That's all you need to win
They are NOT carving a formula for beauty standards, they are just describing WHAT THEY KNOW and WHAT THEY LIKE about the Caucasians. Koreans are very fond of describing facial features. That's just it.
In all honesty I was surprised but really happy and proud at 2:25 that he was interested in African-Americans. Many Koreans are odd when it comes to a darker skin tone. I was pretty happy he said that 💜💙💚✌
5:04 "You can't see their other eye." Lol, does he think we're doing something shady with our other eye? Is he imagining a chameleon?? Laughed so hard when he said that.
I’m blonde, blue eyed, tall,, exactly what was described, and yet this video offends me like hell and shows the fantasy that these guys have of ‘riding a white horse’ honestly it just makes you feel objectified like a trophy, because you are basically more ‘exotic’ to them.... blonde hair and blue eyes is so common here in the UK, and I understand they are not used to it, however, to feel like someone who can just fulfill their fantasies and make them look cool to others on the street ‘like they know English’ that’s just so disrespectful
What i have knwn till now about koreans is...they really don't have that much exposure of World....so when someone says ' foreigner' they can only think of stereotypical foreigners i.e, White blondes with blue eyes...not their fault....
Im chinese american and i have dated girls from every race and yet i prefer hispanics in the end because of their strong sense of family similar to my asian culture. A LOT OF THOSE KOREAS ARE FUCKING NAIVE IF THEY THINK DATING A WHITE GIRL MEANS THAT THEIR FUTURE IS FILLED WITH FUCKING RAINBOWS. DAMN! SO PISSED
Kinda sad how almost all their answers skewed the same way.. lol and not all Foreigners are good looking x'D We also have the good looking to the not so good looking scale..
Well I think many East Asian people think foreigner as "White" caucasian people. If you go to China or Japan, many local people say foreigner as "White."
*What’s your ideal in a foreigner?* White, white, white, white blonde hair blues eyes... oh did I mention white yet? They talk about open mindedness but honestly, they lack it so so much. If they want a relationship to work they need to stop thinking superficially.
Yeah, but first thing came to their mind when they think of a foreigner. a white person with a blond hair and blue eyes. If they said I like foreigners, they usually mean white people. It doesn't mean it is bad but still.....I just hope they get out of the world more, there are all kind of people out there, not just white people.
#PREACH truuuuu but that kinda makes sense for them since the stereotypical "foreigner" in Asian ppl's minds r blonds with blue eyes all blames to those commercials and movies lmao
So many cringeworthy hurt comments from people who wanted to seek validation from this video, and to know that maybe just maybe my Korean oppa would actually love me. Omg you’re acting as if they’re divine or some shit same way they’re acting towards white people. You’ll never love yourself if you seek outside validation first it has to come from the inside.
SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK Thank god I wasn't one of the only ones in the words of Ru Paul if you can't love yourself how in the hell will anyone love you (might've gotten it a bit wrong)
Uh, I don't mean to be that person but every time I watch these types of "Would Koreans date a foreigner" videos I get so disappointed. No one ever mentions finding black people attractive, and I understand people have their own person preferences but based on the videos I've seen Koreans have this image of white people that they are beautiful, tall, amazing eyes, etc. In reality that's really just in the movies. Not saying white people aren't beautiful btw. Also based on me watching various shows such Hello Counselor, Koreans are very enclosed in a bubble. If something isn't common to see/hear etc they reject it. Example: That example in HC of the little Korean girl who is albino and everywhere she went people would stare and point fingers. Just saying though, this is just my opinion.
Daebak Simmer yeah I don’t really expects much from this video. Korean people seem to associate this formula: American=White. Personally, it’s funny to me because what made because that is just the opposite. I hope one day people have a change of mind and study on REAL American culture not focus on white people. Besides sistas ain’t out here falling over there feet for a man/woman so I’ll think we’ll be ok. 😂
i know and it honestly hurts because im a korean myself. when i see koreans portrayed to the public like this and read the angry comments, i honestly wonder why the people in the video think that way. i also wonder why there's so much hate in the comment sections. i mean, koreans have stereotypes on other races, but it seems like these other races have stereotypes on koreans as well. this doesnt excuse what the people said in the video, though, and im genuinely sorry if anything these people said offended you.
@@이현정-f2g it's fine, i totally say that my type is Korean (i love love love the culture and i wanna eat food) and then go ahead and date white, black and blue people (joke but you get me) Beauty comes in many different colours and as long as i think i'm pretty then i'm fine lol
I know. And I never expect anything from these videos. They always say the same thing. I’m not really hurt by it because I know it’s what they are used to and what they’ve probably seen. A lot of these people are kind of closed off to the rest of the world and a bit ignorant. But if it’s their preference then hey it’s what they are into but of course I think a lot of this blonde and blue eyes stuff comes from what they are exposed to as well as what they see as what beautiful is.
When pple r asked about dating a foreigner or someone from another religion they be like love is the only thing that matters, it doesn't have a religion or language etc but when they're asked about their ideal type they be like: a certain skin color, body shape and u name it. Why can't the ideal type be about values, the way that person thinks, behaves, treats themselves and others. I got nothing against these people I just wanted to share my thoughts.
The girl with the braids is everything, she's so pretty and well spoken!👍🔥🔥❤❤💯
She is beautiful i wish i was like her
Exactly sis said complexion doesnt matter
she was so open-minded and beautiful, I want to be her friend!
I love her, she seems so sweet. I love her views on this

She's the way she is because her parents taught her and allowed her to be herself, and to love without barriers ! that's actually really beautiful to see those kind of person on earth
my heart rate increased by 10 percent when i saw her face :(
To sum it up:
Girls: LATIN MEN!
Guys: Blonde love machines
Lighter features are considered in most cultures as more feminine and darker features as more masculine. ´´tall dark and handsome´´ is what girls often say when they describe their ideal men.
@@elmore707 Nah, it's more of the personality type. Latin men behaves more masculine and aggressive compared to north Europeans. The same can be said with Black/African men as well. You don't often hear women wanting to date/marry dark SEA men, except maybe those who are brainwashed like yourself.
"tall dark and handsome" said someone in the 50's and it has never changed since. Thanks TMZ !

Let's be honest most of koreans just wants an "experience" with foreigners not a serious relationship
Smh
Doesn't everyone want the same?
@@anntauz7890 I meant foreigners also want a quick experience like Koreans.
But that also happens with foreigners wanting to have "experiences" with other culture's person!!! This is in general, it happens both ways, but then of course there would be particular cases and situations in which certain people want to have a serious relationships...
In any case manh times people just start going out because they feel attracted or get on well with each other, whatever your mindset is like initially it can always change afterwards
but who thought that it was a good idea to use yellow subs on a light brown table
😂
Buggin Out with Ms Vanity ohhh my bad. I thought u were talking to the main comment since their name was there.
I really love her mindset on it and it really shows how good of a person she i
Foreigners Watching K-Pop K-drama It's so funny that all Koreans think he's handsome.
people in the comments shouldn't get worked up over them saying they're open to dating different nationalities but mention white people as their ideal. It's just their preferences. I'm black, i'm open to all races/nationalities however my 'preference' is a tall black guy. Doesn't mean I wouldn't still be attracted to/ go for someone who's not black.
edit 10/01/2021: it would only be a problem if they said they were ‘open’ but proceeded to put down one race just to build up another or explain why they wouldn’t date a certain race or ethnicity. but they didn’t so it’s all good
Exactly. You can't blame people for wanting to date a certain type or for being attracted to it.
"Whomever you love, I will always welcome them!"

okay but the last girl is actually such a sweet person and i hope she actually dates someones who geniully loves her!
WORDS!!!!!! speaking straight facts
Wow this actually made sense.
Wow this comment needs to be at the top.
Exactly I’ve seen Koreans date a whole range of other races it pretty much just depends on the person not race
Yup. When I was younger I wanted to date an aussie. (Love the accent!) But I ended up marrying an asian guy in America. LOL. And I'm asian, too.
Very interesting points. :)
The girl wearing black is beautiful inside and out ❤️

the girl dressed all in black is the best, she's beautiful both physically but also her mind ! i love her so much !!!

Not all of them. One guy wanted to date African/European women and one girl wanted to date Hispanic men.
They’re talking about language barriers but I’m like “how tf are you gonna make it as far as establishing a relationship AND THEN be concerned about miscommunication??” Idk many people who are willing to date someone they can’t hold a conversation with 😂
You'd be surprised how many people are up for that over here 😂😂😂
They are going to be communicating through google translate lol
then they'll date people who speak korean?? duh??
min bella on a scale of 1 to 10 how serious are you
lmao i mean like a foreigner who learnt korean by themselves
I don’t think any of them should date a foreigner; even if they have or wanted to.
There are not strong enough to handle the relationship. They are too worried about what others think and their ideas, more than actually working in the relationship to make it work. This video to me felt like it’s a dream for them and not something obtainable in reality. But I know A LOT of Americans who think the same way. So I don’t blame it on them being Korean; it’s human nature. To me, any relationship your decide to had is work. And you do the work because you want to be with that person; no matter the obstacles.

“ I want someone *blonde* and *tall* with *blue eyes* and *white* skin”
No need to travel, just go straight to Scandinavia.
kawaii lexi mole Majority is not overweight tho. At least in Finland (which is technically fennoscandia not Scandinavia) most girls are petite
Or Europe in general. I live in the Netherlands and I'm blonde, tall, white and have blue eyes.
We also have the same name btw
kawaii lexi mole You’re a hater and I am black British but I was born in Sweden. Most swedes look like models and there’s hardly anyone that’s overweight stop telling lies !!! In October I went back there and took some of my friends the minute we landed in the airport they were shocked at how beautiful they are.
Aa
kawaii lexi mole It seems like you have a problem understanding simple English, just because I stated that the minute we landed in Sweden my friends were in awe of the people they saw doesn’t mean I am just referring to people in the airport.
Do they only mean white foreigners?
Kiara Roberts not all white ppl have blond hair and light skin but okay lol
@애정 애정 so the rest of foreigners what we are?

Kiara Roberts yeah

Please don't have the misconception that all Koreans prefer only caucasian or latin people, there's Koreans who diversify their horizons, don't worry!!
oh my god, no one liked and replied your comment, instead they prefer crying how butthurt they are!
I don't think you have to be worried at all :)
From my experience, Koreans find other races very interesting, and you probably will be confronted in Korea, asking if you if you need help or something navigation wise, but Koreans do that 'cause they like to be generous, or they want to practice their English. You probably will also receive stares, but it's not anything bad, it's just because you're different. (different is not bad at all i'm not trying to say anything offensive so if i do im soooo sorry)
Underrated comment. Bravo!
Someone said it!!

The heart wants what it wants, there's no changing that.
who is she? does she have instagram?
im wondering about that too
tbh am kinda tired of white skin blue eyes blond hair stereotype for foreigners but k
awww my baby changbinnieeeeeeeeeeee
I spy with my little eyes a cute called Chanbin-suals
binniebinniechangbinnie same
I think they say white, blond, blue eyes Foreigner because it's such a generic stereotype of foreign. Their mind automatically goes to Europe assuming that type of look, and they probably haven't traveled to another country so they don't really know what to say. Other than the generic. Where is if you actually got in a deeper conversation with them or they had experienced having friends from other countries, or having traveled to other countries, then maybe they would say something different.
thanks mate

Eun Mi is woke af and I dig it
If I’m not mistaken she said Latin fam . . . One of us is confused here and I don’t think it’s me 😂
I don’t like to just assume people have bad intentions/secondary intentions.
She got double eyelid surgery. Look at those cut eyes
*They say nationality or skin doesn’t matter but they all described a white person when asked what they look for in a person*
they said latino as well
If asked to describe a stereotypical foreigner, it would be a white person. So what do you expect? Koreans just described the stereotypical foreigner in their eyes
You can be open to all races but still have a preference I know I do
baby steps...when it comes to dating outside of their culture, aside from pale skin, they only mentioned features that were the opposite of theirs.

Chy Monèt No.. he’s not American hence why she put in brackets and I quote “Canadian”
Lol? You just listed countries that are dominant with Caucasian people or lighter skin tones?
McLovin ThatMuffin I said nothing about skin color. I was pointing out how people in the comments where saying Americans.
Chy Monèt I severely hope you realize there are more than just white people in America.
lol i think you mean united states, bc well, if they are saying canadian, latin etc they are talking about americans
And yes that dude at 1:02 says it right, "love has no nationalities," a big thumbs up to that!

am I the only who thinks that most parts of the video is ridiculous and hella funny? being white, tall, blonde and having blue eyes doesn't mean they're automatically attractive... a person can have these features but can still be unattractive imo
Of course! But they just think the majority of them would. Alot of Koreans prefer Ukrainian facial features over English or American looks.
kidney function is not a right it's a privilege they're mentioning factors they like. I don't really find blue eyes attractive, but that doesn't mean I think every green/dark eyed person is gorgeous.
kidney function is not a right it's a privilege
Slavic people are mostly beautiful
Your saltiness is showing.
Theyre stating it as a preference. Someone can say they like a tall Latino man. Doesn't mean all tall latino men are attractive.
Not all foreigners have blue eyes and white skin :')
And not of them are attractive lol
Not all interviewees only mentioned white people.
all of them didn't say white with blue eyes.....some said Latin men with tanner skin.

크리스탈 Are you saying that as an American or as another race???
Russiaboo's especially
I don't know. maybe.
^are you a jealous korean woman? probably... straight men are interested in women generally, only racists and nazists can't relate.
Couldnt agree with you more :) they dont care about the other person, if they are hurting them etc. Annoying...
why are you going to korea? visiting or long term? are you sure you dont have yellow fever?
*well, now I know how to say good looking in korean*
jimins jams the sad truth is: They'll not date someone who doesn't match their "outside requires"
Debbie ducking all the way yepp
Yeah but most people are like that, it's natural
Lol yeah. It was said 1000 times in one video 😂😂😂
AMRY💜
my inner gay jumped out for the girl in all black bless her soul
same! she's so pretty and her statement at the end was so beautiful. also my name is diana too lolol.
she's beautiful inside and out i wish there were more people like her also bless her mom i wish my mom was open minded like hers. ohhh do you have twitter?
I love how they say language barrier. We can learn Korean......
I live in Korea since 1 year and I‘m telling you, dating a korean guy is harder than learning korean.
why?
Those are more reliable and it's the easiest way to get a date in Korea.
it makes sense, thanks for your input^^ fighting
Koreans should remember: to a foreigner: a koreans is also foreigner.... we are both dating foreigners.......
lissie Valdes in their own country, Koreans are not foreigners lmao
@@tinglemydingle4197
she's not saying that, she's saying that koreans should remember that for us (Latin people), koreans are also foreigners, so we are both dating foreigners.
Lissie HC girl I am black and they never even mention blacks so don’t feel bad
Olivia Murphy true
2:26 "Filipinas." Boi, I'd date you in a heartbeat.
2:37 "When my girlfriend speaks French..." Damn it.
Same here 😂😂
I speaks French, it's ok for me.
Mathilde/Fjordix _ me too so not a problem 😁
@@sarouboo
You are French ?
Mathilde/Fjordix _ Yes but im not from France I am from Quebec in Canada 🙃
That girl with the black braids she was a trainee with Taehyung from BTS
When they say "foreigner", you know for certain all they have in mind are white blonde people 🙄🙄
btw the guys have all the same stereotype about foreign girls : white, blonde hair, light eyes, preferably russian, small nose etc... i'm glad i like girls :-)
mochiest mochi two guys said other races.
mochiest mochi im russian but im tanned and I have dark curly hair because my grandpa is from france but yeah many russians look like that but I think germans look like that too? I know a few and they look like that mostly
the girls said the same thing
Katja H. We aren't dark and curly haired in france wtf xF
AeppleZEN Sameee hahahha
Same hahaha
SAMEE HAHA cause most were talking about western characteristics and he was there who stuck with the asians 💛
AYYY SAME HAHAHA❤️❤️
AeppleZEN Claro que se van a ver diferentes si los filipinos algunos son descendientes de españoles que esperaban.
I think you should ask "Are foreigners ready to date any native korean?" that way you will get your answer correctly.
I think i'm in love with the girl with the braids, welp i guess i'm lesbian now.
JamlessJaebootyImOut SAME
honestly same, shes so beautiful (answers and looks)
Hi pls ad me on mesenger kitkatt
Lanh Lang wtf no
JamlessJaebootyImOut she’s so pretty!😍
I like how younger Koreans are more open. I just saw a super sad video of a Korean guy and Black-Asian girl planning thier wedding. The guy's and the girls parent straight up disowned them. Both parents of both couples did not attend their wedding due to rigid beliefs. It was all vlogged on youtube: "Brought my blasian fiancée to meet my Korean parents unannounced"
oh yeah i saw that too
lots of stuff like that going on with the older generation
Why is it that most older generations are like that, in general? Is it just things like tradition and stigmas or
Wait, the girl is blasian, but her parents disowned her for marrying an asian man? What kinda...
KuroiYuki13 so, the Muslim Sudanese Dad, stepmom, and all siblings did not attend due to religious issues. He wanted the Korean guy to convert to Islam but was fine with the race. Biological Mom and that part of the family came. So, 1 out 4 parents came. No one from Korean guys family came (mom, dad, and siblings too)
eleanor it's hard to explain. Love (for what I understand) is for is more like a business arrangement. It just looks "bad" because she's an outsider
y'all need to stop seeking validation from these people idgaf if someone from another race don't like me...black and am proud
and beautiful^^
Chy Monèt did you even read your own comment? You’re autistic and hypocritical you fucking moron😂😂😂😂😂
Confidence is the most beautiful thing.
You rock, breezy
Chy Monèt do not even reply to these people they ain't worth ur time, i be seeing their comments too
i just called her beautiful, lol how's that complaining
you're mad that i'm not butthurt like you
"What's your ideal type of foreigner?"
Them: White, Latin, Russian, Filipino
Me: *Stares in black*
I mean, most of the black latinos were taken as slaves as were the african americans, i just meant the lighter skinned population
Srry for coming off as "soooo dumb"
Me: Stares in brown 😔
I knew they were gonna say white before they even said it 😂 it's so sad , I'm an Arab and I live in Canada but when I used to live in emirates everyone fantasized about being with a white man/woman and I never heard anyone say "I would love to date an Arab". I'm not shaming anyone who prefers white people it's fine but it bothers me that people are choosing white people over their own race or any other race because they're more "beautiful" . White people will forever remain as the "perfect" people. Arabs will forever be vilified and viewed in a negative way. (not all ofcourse)
Edit: if you're going to comment something, plz avoid hate and racism.
I LIKE THE KORESAN GIRL WITH THE CORNROW BRAIDS SHE WAS CUTE HIP AND COOL
Korean
That´s how it goes in Asian countries lol
they do like caucasians, but it doesn't mean people who like other races/ethnics don't exist
I'm pretty sure they are aware that not all caucasians look like that. They were just describing their ideal type.
They are NOT carving a formula for beauty standards, they are just describing WHAT THEY KNOW and WHAT THEY LIKE about the Caucasians.
Koreans are very fond of describing facial features. That's just it.
The girl with braids was so truthful and honest about how she felt about foreigners love it 💜
YES GURL! Come to LA and get yourself a Latino! ❤️❤️❤️
Tupac _Shakaren lmao 😂
Omg when the guy said use google translate while fighting I’m dead af 😂😂😂😂
jium Pal lmao
The girl at the end was really cool,I've got mad respect for her😊😊😊😊
2:26 uhm im a filipina who lives in italy and speaks french..WAIT FOR MEEEE IM OMW 😢😂❤
As a male individual this warms my heart. Thank you kookie, very cool!
6:47 Honestly I can listen this girl hours after hours after hours
In all honesty I was surprised but really happy and proud at 2:25 that he was interested in African-Americans. Many Koreans are odd when it comes to a darker skin tone. I was pretty happy he said that 💜💙💚✌
🤣🤐 If I were you, I will not date Korean because the majority are racists sweetie
the girl with the braids is so pretty omg
Now you understand how Asian girls feel in Western countries.
DAMN! SO PISSED
Well wouldn't it be the same the other way round? So many white girls/kpop fans want a 'korean boyfriend' because of their fantasies of kdramas etc.
lmao now you understand how I feel every day when i’m around white fetishist
The girl at the end made me cry because she is so real and just put it out there
Kinda sad how almost all their answers skewed the same way.. lol and not all Foreigners are good looking x'D We also have the good looking to the not so good looking scale..
Best line ever... "Love has no nationalities." I agree sir! :-)
lmao when koreans say foreigner = white
Well I think many East Asian people think foreigner as "White" caucasian people. If you go to China or Japan, many local people say foreigner as "White."
Yeah but when americans say asian = chinese. Not exactly the same thing but still very similar.
Exactly smh
Everytime I hear foreigner with them they think of a white person
or black people
*What’s your ideal in a foreigner?*
White, white, white, white blonde hair blues eyes... oh did I mention white yet?
They talk about open mindedness but honestly, they lack it so so much. If they want a relationship to work they need to stop thinking superficially.
Yeah, but first thing came to their mind when they think of a foreigner. a white person with a blond hair and blue eyes. If they said I like foreigners, they usually mean white people. It doesn't mean it is bad but still.....I just hope they get out of the world more, there are all kind of people out there, not just white people.
Save Earth Look, an offended white, lmao
Righttt. I was kinda disappointed to 😂
#PREACH truuuuu but that kinda makes sense for them since the stereotypical "foreigner" in Asian ppl's minds r blonds with blue eyes all blames to those commercials and movies lmao
하니Hani people can have preference. Do you even understand that?
So many cringeworthy hurt comments from people who wanted to seek validation from this video, and to know that maybe just maybe my Korean oppa would actually love me.
Omg you’re acting as if they’re divine or some shit same way they’re acting towards white people.
You’ll never love yourself if you seek outside validation first it has to come from the inside.
Haikyuu Trash 😂so true.
„My korean oppa“ I‘m dead 😂
SAY IT LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK
Thank god I wasn't one of the only ones in the words of Ru Paul if you can't love yourself how in the hell will anyone love you (might've gotten it a bit wrong)
wow this is straight facts
Girl, you're speaking straight facts! 👏👏👏
Haikyuu Trash i needed this
Uh, I don't mean to be that person but every time I watch these types of "Would Koreans date a foreigner" videos I get so disappointed.
@@armyjo5891 that part sista
The girl in the end😌😍 Very inspiring and uplifting. And she’s soo pretty!
Relationship problems: when you can't see the other persons eye because they nose to high
😂🤣😂🤣
This will be my new excuse when someone asks why Im single
Props to the guy who said love has no nationalities 👏👏👏

Jpp😭🤣🤣
The girl at the end statement was so profound.
Not all of us are blond. They are very stereotypical over there and it bothers me 🙄.
