This worked perfectly thanks very much! The video was shown from a good angle and made doing this myself easy. Bought a key of Amazon for £8 and saved myself £50!
Thank you for this video! I bought my 807 (2007) in April 2021 and it needs some fixing up but I know nothing about cars so this was a little something I can do on my own. I just ordered parts to fix my two keys that are both literally in pieces - I have to hold the plastic with the chip taped into it around the metal key when I start the car for the anti-theft not to stop me from going. Hoping to see more vid's on your 807 - they really inspire me to take care of my car.

the replacement key came out easily but the original key isnt budging any ideas? The new one has a hole through the center the original does not.

Yes, but you have to find someone who can programme the new key for your car. You have to call citroen/peugeot for codes for your car and then someone have to "connect" new circuit board to your car

On my Citroen C3 Picasso I had a new fob blade cut at Timpsons today 19/04/2023 £15 for 2 minutes work, I popped the pin as you did on my Peugeot 207 and changed over the blade, for my other C3 key I`ll be popping the pin again and saving £15.

Ty buddy, I just want to comment if you don't have those tools. Releasing the spring is a more tool friendly way, you only need some pliers. Grab the iron button and turn it against the clock and wiggle it up. It's more complicated to do but you can do it with tools you probably already have.

This was really helpful! I just did exactly this and saved £80. I didn’t know if you had to disassemble the spring clip or pop the pin, so this was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! Just one minor thing on my key that was different, my circuit board and battery fitted to small location lugs in the button top side if the key fob, so I fitted it that way, but thanks again, brilliant video!👍👍👍👍👍

You're a legend. The citroen dealer wanted $400 for a replacement key. The $13 fob from Amazon didn't have a pin punch to drive the pin out and made do with a 2mm twist drill. Thank you

while on the subject of car keys ,,always check that the key opens the door locks manually ,,because if some one has replaced the ignition then the key will open the locks by remote ,but not manually ,,and if you have a totally flat battery then you will be locked out of the car ,,

Your key was in excellent shape compared to mine. It won't stay in on piece, but wants to crack open, even in your pocket.
The key model in the first generation 807's was much stronger made and better quality than these.

Not all the keys come out as a key blade, some are a fixed unit which are much more difficult to change.

oh no I think mine might be fixed I took the key out of the new case but cant get my original key out of the old one. Any pointers or tips?

Remove the spring button
