Thanks for the great video once again. I’m not too familiar with the broadwalk restaurants. Love the stories you bring us with your videos. Sets you apart from other vloggers and I really like that. TFS.
Of course and thanks so much for the kind words. While we do take inspiration from vlogs we're fans of, we try our best to be original and have our own style. It means a lot that you notice that 🙂. We weren't familiar with the Boardwalk until we moved here. It's one of our favourites now though.
Worked there for 5 years! Will always be a piece of me! The heart and soul of the restaurant is about to cross the rainbow bridge. It's a pretty rough day for us from Trat.
N lastly, as far as the menu goes, yall are 3 years too late. The crew we had pre covid was awesome. The crew we had at the beginning of the return was the best group I've ever had the chance to work with. Since we were preforming so well for a mid level restaurant, people started getting promotions left n right. Most the the chefs have been there for about a year n the front of house managers even less time than them. The 2021 Chicken Parm was a 10/10 dish
Thank you for your honest review. We were there just 2 weeks ago and I told my hubby I didn't like it. I was born and raised in NYC/ NJ. I just know... I told him you guys were not gonna like it. We will be going to Mulinos next time. A good pizza is when you can fold it and walk with it. Maybe even use a napkin to pull up all the grease.
It's definitely not authentic NY or NJ Italian food. I appreciate the detail, atmosphere and I did enjoy my meal but as a tri-state native I agree I can tell the difference. We still had a great time though 🙂. Definitely recommend Il Mulino! I do want to say that I think we have better pizza in NY or NJ BUT Il Mulino was, to me, the best Pizza in Disney. Good foldable crust and has a little napkin grease 😆. I hope it's just as good on your visit!
It shows how ignorant I am of Italian food (and culture) that I had to look up what ‘Trattoria’ meant in order to find out why it’s included in so many Italian restaurant titles 😂 I love the open kitchen design, with the chefs bustling about! I’m with Jay on sauce ratio, although I know he likes a more savory sauce while I prefer a sweeter one - we both need a saucy pizza. Sounds like Il Mulino probably keeps the crown, there! Shame that the chicken parm didn’t “wow” here, but dessert looked like a big win! Definitely nice to have a sliding scale of casual vs dressy dining near the parks and the resorts. Another one to try….someday! 😁 Thanks for sharing, guys!
Sauce flavor is subjective, the love of sauce is universal. This pizza was good Il Mulino's was just better. Obviously two different experiences though. Sam's dessert was definitely a star. Had the dinner and a show aspect. Plus it tasted great. We agree, it's nice to have differing dining experiences and options. This was obviously a bit different from Il Mulino but both cater to different audiences. We're happy to have both 🙂. Thank you!
I agree with your assessment that I'll Mulino is the better Italian option. I love Trattoria for breakfast bit I definitely go with IL Mulino for dinner. I very much liked the arancini and would maybe do Trattoria if I just wanted some appetizers and a glass of wine.
So sorry you had a bad experience. Check out Travel with Disney for Trattiria. 3 times but it looks wonderful. Breakfast Tiramasu French toast with ham 13.00. Poached eggs with hollandaise sauce and steak and eggs. They raved about it. Like your videos. Keep Making them.
Thanks for the review! My family is from Long Island as well and we definitely know what authentic Italian tastes like! We dined here in January and we did receive a bread service with a delicious garlic infused oil. I think my husband asked so maybe you need to request it?! We are going back next month so I guess we will see! Italian families know you need that bread to soak up the sauce!
LI has some of the BEST Italian food. Ahh, someone mentioned they asked for it too. Def doing that next time. I grew up on sauce sandwiches! Thanks for watching 😊
Well Sam, at first sight I thought your entree was a complete miss. After your observation and your comments I think you might have been generous with your rating. My overall thought is this might be a nice place for drinks and Apps. I still would like to try this restaurant in the future.
They have a decent sauce and it didn’t taste bad at all, but for me though it’s definitely not traditional Italian. Jay did love his lasagna though! I would definitely chose Il Mulino over this in a heart beat.
Thanks so much for the thoughtful review! It was great to hear your feedback on the pizza in particular! We are staying at Beach Club soon, and I was wondering if I should take my kids here for pizza on arrival day rather than try to get a reservation at Via Napoli and take up time on an EPCOT day.
Of course! Thanks for watching 🙂. In our opinion Via Napoli is a tad better. Our favorite pizza is actually at Il Mulino though, which is probably just as far as Al Forno from where you're staying. All are great options 🙂. Hope you have the best trip.
Thanks for another great video! I love that you are doing the "Italian series" of food :). Would you say Il Mulino is worth it for just pizza, appetizers and drinks? Truly enjoyed the video :)
Another great review! I’m Italian and in North Jersey (NYC metro area) so this speaks to my heart ❤❤ detailed and amazing review always! Question: Favorite Gelato on Disney property? Thanks guys!
Thank you so much!! We love our tri-state subs because you know where we're coming from with our opinions. We haven't had too much gelato to say for sure- but the Vivoli il Gelato in Disney Springs and the Gelateria Toscana in Epcot are decent options.
Great question! To be honest, we didn't look but didn't notice anything. I feel like that could be a quick turnover. We can't wait for that stand. Blue Ribbon in Disneyland was Sam's first corndog 🙂.
I didn't notice bar seating but Abracadar is connected to this restaurant and you can get the pizza and a few other lounge bites there. Il Mulino at the Swan has bar and lounge seating.
I have a good dinner here but it was a different order. I have scallops with a giant ravoli. The chicken parm you got was just wrong…too thick and with wrong cheese. I suspect that you paid much more at the other restaurant.
I'm glad you had a good experience. Il Mulino is a little pricier than Trattoria al Forno. Surprisingly Ravello at the Four Seasons is the highest quality of Italian and some how the most cost effective.
Great video and congratulations on 1,000,000 views. You guys are great and deserve so much success!!
Thank you! That means a lot Chris 🙂. Your support and encouragement continue to motivate us.
As stated before, Italian food is the best food in the world hands down. Great review guys...
I've said before, even bad Italian food is good food 😆. This Italian food was pretty solid though 🙂. Thank you!

With that said, you sat in station 3. I bet you had a fabulous server named Hollie

We were living in NY at that time. We've always heard amazing things though!
Thank you for your service !
Nice review! It's nice to see the menus coming back. The last time we ate there it was during or shortly after covid times and there were no menus.
Thank you 😊 I’m glad menus have made their return, it’s just not the same using your phone 😂
Looking forward to trying this place
Hope you enjoy 😊

I agree, the entrees were not the stars here but it was still an enjoyable meal and I would definitely have the arancini again!!
Jay, the look on your face was all that needed to be said about that dessert. 15:32
Jay is not a light dessert kinda guy 😂

Thanks so much for watching. I don’t think it was bad per say, just not our favorite. We enjoyed breakfast 😊

I prefer I'Mulino as well. Its more authentic Italian and the service is always good, and they have lemoncello at the end of your meal.
Il Mulino blew us away and our servers were incredible.
Loving the shirt Jay !🤩
he is styling and profiling!

@@ThemeParkFoodies would you recommend Il Mulino for a family with 5 kids ages 2-12 though? 😬
When I went we asked for bread and they gave us amazing bread with a dipping oil that had whole cloves of roasted garlic.
Ahhh good to know, I wish they had offered! I always feel awkward asking for things. Did they charge you for it ?
Thanks for another great video! I love that you are doing the "Italian series" of food :). Would you say Il Mulino is worth it for just pizza, appetizers and drinks? Truly enjoyed the video :)
You are so welcome- it's definitely a tasty series! I would say yes to Il Mulino- the cheeseboard and pizza are worth it!!! Meet ya there ;)
Another great review! I’m Italian and in North Jersey (NYC metro area) so this speaks to my heart ❤❤ detailed and amazing review always! Question: Favorite Gelato on Disney property? Thanks guys!
Last visit I stayed at Beach Club so this was not far, this review has told me that next time YES 😂
Thank you so much!! We love our tri-state subs because you know where we're coming from with our opinions. We haven't had too much gelato to say for sure- but the Vivoli il Gelato in Disney Springs and the Gelateria Toscana in Epcot are decent options.
did you notice any work being done to the stand on the boardwalk thats going to become the corndog stand?
Great question! To be honest, we didn't look but didn't notice anything. I feel like that could be a quick turnover. We can't wait for that stand. Blue Ribbon in Disneyland was Sam's first corndog 🙂.
Might want to try Ravello!
It's on the list- have heard wonderful things!
I miss when we could mobile order here. Did you notice if theres a bar in there?
I didn't notice bar seating but Abracadar is connected to this restaurant and you can get the pizza and a few other lounge bites there. Il Mulino at the Swan has bar and lounge seating.
Chicken Parm Princess 🍗 🍝 👸
rightful heir to the throne
Did they stop doing character dining there?
Sadly, they did stop the character breakfast awhile ago.
There is a very good Italian restaurant at the Portafino in universal
Mama Dellas and Bice are very good! We’ve been there before we started vlogging.
I have a good dinner here but it was a different order. I have scallops with a giant ravoli. The chicken parm you got was just wrong…too thick and with wrong cheese. I suspect that you paid much more at the other restaurant.
