One of our favorite places, we just had it for the first time a few weeks ago when staying at Saratoga even though we owned here a few years now. Ashamed we never had it sooner. The Prime rib was succulent, adored the bread with the most perfect spreadable salted butter. Also loved the frito misto. Crispy chicken was exceptional as well. Thanks for the video! BTW also best gym on property we use it everyday love it.
We wish we tried it sooner! Ahh thanks for the gym tip- have you ever been to Universal's Cabana Bay ? they have an insane gym- it's like a museum to Jack Lalane, it's Jay's favorite.
never used any gyms at Universal. We used all the ones at Disney and we own at Riviera,Saratoga & Copper Creek and by far adore the gym at Saratoga. Riviera is a horrid excuse for a gym. Wish they made it like Saratoga and the fact it's the newest DVC is more of a slap to the face. I own a chain of nutrition stores here (Philly & NJ) if you guys have a PO box I would like to mail you each a tee shirt form my store (Primal nutrition) LMK sizes and where to mail it, if you like, thanks Jason @@ThemeParkFoodies
I just watched a video on Cabana bay gym, very nice. Funny how they almost had the same exact pieces of equipment as Saratoga. Much nicer theming though. Thanks for the suggestion.
We miss the Coram Diner 😆. I tell Sam all the time we have to do a video there next time we're in NY. I hope the cheesecake is still great! Lmk when you try if you can.
This resort overall is a hidden gem. boat/walk to the springs. Nice pools, huge grounds. The only negative is busses but people love to bash this place.
I think a lot of people on vacation don't realize how big it is at Saratoga Springs and when they get here the buses take them for a loop. The distance to Springs is great. Especially from Congress Park and we basically used Disney Springs as our quick service dining when here 😆. Sam was saying we need to go back. We agree, a true gem!
I’m staying there for the first time next week and part of why I booked it is so that I can kind of slow down this trip. I don’t mind the bus system or being at a larger resort. I’m excited to be near polite pig in the springs too! I really think I’m going to enjoy it there.
Lovely review. The food all looked so yummy. Our first "official" DVC night stay was at SSR! It is lovely. You made me go down the Musso and Frank rabbit hole and now I want to go there!
Great review! I love you save food for Frank, or at least try to :). My husband always orders a larger steak, in order to have leftovers for our dog, Buddy! Hope to see you in the park, this summer :)
Thank you :) We definitely always aim to bring Frank something special, but I think the prime rib was just too good or "too salty" as Jay would say lol Tell Buddy we say hi!!! Yes, please say hi- if you see us!
😆 oof! You might be on to something. Flavor was there but the items were so minimal that onion just over powered everything. I may have been too kind in hindsight.
as a Long Islander I am excited to drive to the Coram Diner one day to try out their cheesecake. I have to see how well it competes with Whistle Stop Bakery in Oceanside 😊
I am a fellow Long Islander and have been to several of the Commack and Northport locations you have shown previously on the channel. Love the local connection! That said - did I detect a few "IN Long Island" references in there? That is not the lingo around these parts lol :)
I think the tri-state French Onion soup has spoiled us a bit. I will say the ingredients are good but growing up on Long Island diner bowls of hot cheese made it a bit disappointing for me. Everything was solid though. Definitely a hidden gem.
Seems loud and echo-eee. Did you say that it had been updated recently? Looks pretty outdated and dark. BUT still appreciate your great review and enjoyed the video. Thanks!
Went there last night and while the meal was tasty and tender I can say that $38 for a piece of 12 oz meat shouldn't be 3 to 4 ounces of fat for that price and our mom's $28 fried chicken shouldn't be over cooked . We brought it to the waiters attention and he replied yes lots of fat on the Prime rib . We went there while back and what they call their signature Prime Rib was the same and just figured it was that one night . So we'll skip the Turf Club from now on and if we want prime rib we'll just go to Millers Ale House a mile down the road for $16.99 . BTW , they no longer give you the nice slices of baked bread ,it's now more like a pillsbury roll and the broccoli and carrots are gone .
@@ThemeParkFoodies Good review, it was spot on . We live in the area and prefer the Disney and Disney Springs restaurants , our favorites are Topolino's ,Ale &Compass and Via Napoli .
Unless there's another steakhouse on property, I've been here but it was a long time ago. But I remember it being a bit more open than what it is but I loved the meal when I dined there. I'll be there with my partner in a couple of months and I think we'll definitely be coming here.
A lot of great steakhouses at Disney but the Prime Rib here is something special. Happy you enjoyed your experience here as much as we did. Wishing you and your partner the very best meal when you get here 🙂.
Yay! Grown up restaurants are my favorite reviews.
🙂 Hope you enjoyed!

@@toyman70 that is so nice of you, and how cool!!! We don’t have a p.o. box yet, but hopefully soon 😊
@@toyman70 you’re welcome, it’s an impressive gym for a mid level price point hotel.
I ❤️ the Coram diner and will definitely try the cheesecake! Thanks for the Tip.

sounds like the turf has good chefs in the house!
I hope they've kept it up :)

Hey guys Happy New Year. Looking forward to all the new reviews this year...Never ate there but looks good...
Happy New Year!! Thank you so much
Nice review guys. Sam shades are hot again. ❤
haha thank you :)
“This is the real Jay” 😂
I’m loving Sam’s Christmas nails
I was intending to cut that out but he wanted it in 😂😂😂 Thank you- gotta get my Festival of the Arts nails this week!!!
The soup makes me feel like they said "let's make this sooo fancy but save as much money as we can serving it"

@@ThemeParkFoodies lol nooo come back and have some pizza, you’ll start saying you’re ON the island before you know it.
Yo this looked like a top notch meal. Everything looked great. I will say the French onion soup need way more cheese. What was that about. lol.

Looks “Bussin” is that what the kids are saying these days? I can’t keep up anymore 😂
you and me both hahaha

It hasn’t been updated recently. A party of 10 was seated next to us, which is why it probably sounded loud. Thanks so much for watching 😊
It doesn't need updating. It's theme is a classic jockey club. Lots of dark wood and rich colours.
Watching from the airport 😭 😭
Hope you had an amazing trip!!!
