      It was so good to take a little break way from all the overwintering and re pot these two little cuties, all the overwintering was turning me 'potty' ( excuse the pun ) haha, but we will be carrying on today bringing in the not so cold hardy cereus cacti and large Euphorbias from our middle greenhouse into the grow room for Winter as the temperatures are going to drop like a ton of bricks from Saturday night onwards, thanks so much Daz for your wonderful friendship and amazing comment and support and for watching, and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Edith lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER to England and Singapore for a terrific Thursday today XXXX

Those 2 variegated plants are really pretty, hope the haworthia will show more variegation as it grows bigger. Thank you so much my cactus powered sister for your support. More power and blessings to you. Thank you so much and hope you and Hans have a great day a head 💚🌵🥰

    What sweet little plants, the variegated one is especially attractive...they will love their new soil and pots.
    My little collection of Haworthia from Daz, and my one from Katherine have certainly preferred the cooler weather, and one has outgrown its pot already, yours and Daz's videos has encouraged me its okay to repot it now. So I will love to see it's root growth, and as you said, trimming them is OK... Great video 😊🌵🪴

      Thats fantastic that Daz and my videos have encouraged you to re pot your Haworthia Claire :-D it was so good to re pot these two little cuties and to take a day off from all the overwintering haha, but we will be carrying on today bringing in the large Euphorbias and not so cold hardy Cereus cacti into the house, as the night temperatures are going to drop very low from Saturday night onwards, thanks so much Claire for your wonderful friendship and amazing comment and support and for watching, and Hans and I are sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER from across the Sea for a terrific Thursday today XXXX

    Really like the gasteria!!! That's a sharp looking plant!!! I like Haworthia limifolia cause they have great texture& very easy to grow anywhere. I had a plantlet just sitting on the bench waiting to be planted. Forgot about it. I had knocked it off while moving plants around and fell into Arium plant pot where it took root and is still there 2 years later. Tough little guys!!! Great plants Lyn!!! Will love to see them again after a bit of growth has set in!!! From Morris park in the Ozarks, to across the Emerald isle, have a wonderful day!!!! Peace,Love,Plants!!!✌💖🌵🌺🌴🌻🌲🌹🌳🌷🌿🌸🍀💐😀👍

    Lyn that Gasteria verrucosa is a sure beauty! My Haworthia limifolia is also growing out of its pot, a terracotta cube from 20cm by 20cm by 10cm. Put 4 years ago 3 little ones in it and know it is time to repot it again, but i am waiting until it made flowers again and then do it.
    I don't think i am going to break up this cluster because i love it with several plants together, especially when there are multiple little flowers on it.
    Thanks for this lovely vid and greetings to Hans! Have a nice wednessday evening you both.

    Hi Lyn. Hope all is well with you and Hans. After watching this video, I decided that I should repot and separate my own gasteria from one wee 4 inch pot. Well, there was almost nothing but roots and after teasing the plantlets from their mom I ended up with…ready for this?…25 plants! I’m afraid to do my hawarthia plants. I love your videos, but you are a terrible influence on me. 🤪

    Those are so cute! In June of this year, I got a rare Sansevierià Samurai Sword. In 2 inch pot. I put it in a 4 inch and it grew double over the summer 🌞🌿 This morning I found one in the grocery store! 😊 It is also in a 2 inch. I'm wondering if I should repot it or wait till spring? 🤔 I am learning a lot from your videos.👍🌵

      Thats fantastic news that you got a Sansevieria samurai sword, they are so beautiful, because I find most of my Sanseverias are fall?Autumn and early Winter growers its safe to repot them now, I have a couple of Sansevieria I will be repotting over the next couple of weeks too, So happy you are learning a lot from my videos

    My gasteria has a few black spots. I've sprayed it with need oil. It looks likes yours and says it needs full sun which I thought was wrong for gasteria.

    • @desertplantsofavalon
      @desertplantsofavalon  Рік тому

      Hi there, the good news is the black spots is a common thing on Gasteria and sometimes on Aloe leaves too, I have it happen on a few of my Gasterias, I think its due to a change in environment, it doesn't seem to spread and is similar to the black spot that you see on Roses, it doesn't spread to the other plants, you have done the best thing to spray with the Neem oil, yes Gasteria prefer more shade and can go a bit pale in full sunlight, I would advise growing your Gasteria in a position that receives part sun but not all day sun, they can grow in bright shade but are less reluctant to flower, thanks so much for your wonderful comment and for watching, sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER for a wonderful Wednesday XXXX
