Even though Daft Punk is doing the soundtrack, you'll find that most trailers have music done by a specific trailer group, not the people who compose the actual film score.
I have spent hundreds of dollars on this game in the 80's, (I was 14 and had no life), I think I should get a free ticket to see this movie in December.

Already by the score of this trailer I know that Daft Punk is gonna blow the doors off the soundtrack for this film. Not that I would expect any less from the Robotic Duo.

Kevin Flynn goes back and forth between the real world and the 'Tron' world. He get's caught up in '89, which is a number of years after the original which took place in '82. Hence the "Phone line being dead for 20-years" comment. 89 - 99 - 09. Apparently after besting the MCP Kevin Flynn went back and forth... why, is yet uncertain.
The age-reversing CGI of Jeff Bridges (1:30) as CLU is pretty cool but also creepy. It def looks good here; hope it holds up in the full deal (how it was done in Xmen 3 was crap).
The actress is the white outfit isn't getting enough attention on these youtube pages. She's great...and we don[t know her name. See this film in Imax. It's completely different than the reg 3D theaters....I've seen both...and Imax 3D is tremendous...plus Imax theaters have incredible sound. This film is a game changer for movies. But only in Imax.
It'd be strange if Tron doesn't appear in this film... since it is named after him. Kinda like having a movie called "King Kong" while lacking any sort of appearance by King Kong.

I liked this film mainly because I am a HUGE fan of the original TRON and they had a LOT of references to the original film. Now did I think it was perfect? No. The acting is pretty sub-par aside from Michael Sheen and Jeff Bridges performances, and the story isn't all that great, but from what the film is, just a basic action sci-fi film, it's a lot of fun to watch.

So, if Tron doesn't appear in the movie, it's not because they couldn't get the actor. :) I'd be surprised if Tron doesn't make an appearance at some point, though...
You must be joking.. The original Tron invented the concept of a CG film over a decade before CG became mainstream... if any film has the right to be in CG it's Tron.. The grandfather of modern day CG movies... disney don't do things in a bad fashion, should know that by now !

i do hope this will be a killer movie. theres plenty of room to screw it up, but thankfully all parties involve are great at what they do, and were smart enough to bring in the original director/writers as lea son. as for the soundtrack, well, i want the soundtrack the score, the audiobed. i want it all. this is the only flick that has real potential to be something special. AVATAR was a visual wonder but a complete let down storywise.
The problem is aether in you're computer(graphics card), or you're region(distance and usage of servers). Too me for example it doesn't take long too load.

The first one isn't the world's best best movie but I highly recommend seeing for the fact how revolutionary it is.
