  • Kristi and I fly to Mexico City to explore Mexico's heartland. Not far from Mexico City is the incredible Grutas Tolantongo, a magical thermal river pouring out of a canyon wall. Dive into Mexico in this episode of Trackin' Dirt, an Epic Trails mini episode.

De la gruta de tolantongo Is by far one of the most beautiful places in all of Mexico I stayed there 4 nights 3 months ago. Getting there I was very surprised to see so much much military then I found out they were private security. I would recommend going during the week when there are less people.
You can either rent a hotel room in one of the resorts or a cabin and and there is also the option to rent tent and sleep next to the river or take your own tent. If you go and want to take in a picture of La gruta Recommend you leave early about 8:30 from your hotel room check out there at about 9 When it will be usually empty except for a lifeguard. I would also strongly recommend taking some sort of water shoes such as crocs, I would also recommend a water protective phone case. And take plenty of cash the resort does not take card or digital payment.

I'm confused, is the first place you visited with all the waterfalls and the tunnel Grutas Tolantongo? If not, what is this place called? Many many thanks!

I would vote for White Sulphur Hot Springs in Southeast Alaska as the best.
