An inspiring video as always Andrew, like several others I really like the breaking wave shot. I'm looking forward to the next episode from Scotland.....!
Many thanks Andy, I was quite pleased how that came out, although it is a merge of the train and the best wave, there's a few more videos from the Scotland trip yet.
Many thanks Simon, I don't think there's many spots where you can get and incoming wave with a railway in the background, apart from Dawlish, Blyth, Berwick upon Tweed.
I see people take photos of trains across the Forth Bridge but never seen them like how you captured them but honestly impressive! Epic Video, need to see the Forth Bridge from ground level
Cheers Simon, thats really appreciated, this was really an unplanned stop off. It's a location I’d one day really like to explore possibly in different weather and lighting, a dawn or dusk shot would be on my wish list. This was my first time at South Queensferry and I was pleasantly surprised how pleasant it was.
Subbed this morning, what a brilliant photography channel this is. I've been to the forth bridge a few times to photograph it, it's certainly a great place to hang out for a few hours. If you go back that way I recommend a visit to Dalmeny station. There is a shot through the arches as the trains come over the bridge on approach to the station. Oh and the wee ice cream shop in South Queensferry is good too.
Many thanks for the Sub, that is appreciated, I'll certainly be back in Scotland - I do fancy exploring the Highland main line and would have liked to explore around the Forth Bridge more, yes I'd like to get up to the stations on either side of the bridge.
Great shots there Andrew and especially like your foreground ideas. A wee bit of inspiration for me in future 😃 An ND filter for a long exposure with the stream or waves would be nice, maybe capture some cloud movement too. Lots of possibilities.
Congratulations on getting some original shots there Andrew. I’ve been to South Queensferry myself but need to develop a greater sense of imagination I think. My shots are much more conventional 🙄
Sorry about that, Rob. Genuinely I was in two minds whether to combine a few videos into one or do them as shorter ones individually, there'll be a couple of others coming up from Scotland - need to get cracking with the edits.
Those flip out screens are worth their weight in gold for that sort of shot, really enjoyed this film and a great bit of music on it too.
Many thanks Peter, yes, I couldn't do without the flip out screen, its used in so many locations, either low down or high up.
Great photos Andrew especially the breaking wave. Thanks again for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it, very pleased how that one came out.
Very imaginative. You keep pushing the boundaries. I see you are spreading your wings a little more.
Thanks Keith, I grabbed a couple of opportunities from a few days family holiday in Scotland.
I love the shot with the waves in front of the bridge
Many thanks, that's appreciated.
Just brilliant ! keep the videos coming.
Thanks, Kevin, will do!
Love the shot with the breaking wave, you go steady on those pebbles….
Cheers Mark, thankfully no wet feet!

Great stuff Andrew. You can't go wrong with pics of the Forth Bridge whatever the background and foreground. 😊
Couldn't agree more, such an iconic location.
I loved your pov Andrew very nice shots of the bridge and trains.
Glad you enjoyed it
The wave shot is a winner Andrew not one I would have thought of, Regards Peter
Many thanks Peter, I was trying to get something out of the ordinary on my such brief visit.
Great shot with the wave breaking
Many thanks John.
Fantastic video. I particularly like the ‘crashing wave’ photo, I’ve not previously seen that in a railway image.
Many thanks Simon, I don't think there's many spots where you can get and incoming wave with a railway in the background, apart from Dawlish, Blyth, Berwick upon Tweed.
Yet again Andrew you have a great video keep them comeing sir
Many thanks John.
Thanks Andrew, looking forward to you doing the fifth bridge!
Now that would be something!
Amazing - also trainphotobomb at 0:24 Loved the low down stream shots!
and seagull photobomb at 2:09
Thank you very much Ray, just trying to get creative, whilst avoiding the Seagulls.
@@AndrewShenton They are very common here in Scotland - hope you enjoyed your time here!
Some great shots there Andrew. My last visit to that part of the world was about 5 years ago. Must get back!
Many thanks, we certainly enjoyed our tour around Scotland and the highlands, I'll certainly be back again soon.

Nice one, great ideas, there's a challenge for a merge shot.
@@AndrewShenton yes and you're the man to pull it off 🙂👌🏻
It's always difficult to get a different photo of well know locations but i think you nailed it with the wave shot, well done Andrew
Really kind, but I have to say I was really chuffed how that wave shot edited.
Great video........btw, how about a video to show tips and techniques ?
I keep thinking about a video on that subject, I just need to plan something out.
Great work! What is the camera kit, lens etc that you use?
Many thanks, I'm using Canon EOS-R as my main still camera, the video is filmed on a mixture of Canon EOS70D, Iphone and DJI Osmo Pocket.

Many thanks Steve, I would have live more time here, perhaps a dawn or evening shoot too, I didn't do any closer shots either.
Nice video but that was way too short a video cos them 3 minutes went way too quick.
Sorry about that, Rob. Genuinely I was in two minds whether to combine a few videos into one or do them as shorter ones individually, there'll be a couple of others coming up from Scotland - need to get cracking with the edits.
@@AndrewShenton look forward to viewing them..
