      To be honest mchale never had it’s day there was always something better the reason people said they where better than Kuhn 10 years ago was because Kuhn had stopped innovating as they where focusing on expansion now Kuhn and pottinger are back invovating again everyone is realising mchale was never that good
      Then you have the mchale dick riders that won’t admit the suck but there opinions don’t matter anyway

    Raymond McAfrey was working for McHale and when I demoed a McHale in 2017 here in the USA he came to the field with the sales rep to demo for me. Great guy, really knows his stuff!

    The first thing I noticed the baler is not as high compared to other combi balers, I think it's a great idea for tandem axle, makes the baler lot more stable, I don't understand why other brands done use them.

      I agree, it's got to travel better in wet ground conditions.
      I like that is way lower as well.

      Easier to manouver around the field on one axle and no steering axle on the tandems they like to leave ruts on the corners that and the single axle is able to be atleast an axle length shorter

    I'm a contractor in Norway and I'm a bit curious about how that transfer-system would work here. Always looking for new stuff, pottinger is interesting and have some good machines. I'll using Orkel gp 1270 combi, with shorter trasferdistace than this, and sometimes have problems when driving sideways hills. This is to heavy thou, but will this do the job?

    Why do you use fixed bale chambers in Ireland? What are the benefits of them instead of variable bale chamber except being cheaper?

    • @Jorge-mm6ym
      @Jorge-mm6ym 3 роки тому +3

      Oscar Johansson cheaper to buy, less wearing parts, easier to maintain, handle wet grass far better, and the lads pushing bales out themselves don’t want bales any bigger than 4.5 feet diameter.

      Different conditions call for different machines. Traditionally belt balers didn't cope well with heavy wet crops of grass in Ireland.

    Not a fan of the bale transfer, too many moving parts! The bale needs to drop straight onto the wrapping table.

      The best selling Baler in the world and the Employment their giving in The west of Ireland is massive not like pottinger

    • @Jorge-mm6ym
      @Jorge-mm6ym 3 роки тому +5

      Seamus Kc I am not denying that for a minute, but the majority of that is assembly/quality control, not manufacturing. I’m just pointing out that McHale are misleading folk a wee bit by marketing themselves as an Irish company, when in reality they are a European company. They even use a Samasz cutterbar on their mowers!
