It's a shame they don't disclose the cost of any factory fitted extras for each car as I suspect even the base XC90 will be loaded compared to the competition. The Cayenne with its £18k of options being a prime example, although this comparison might be made for the others in later episodes.
It sounds crazy … and kinda is.. but spec for spec its still the cheapest. The entry level mode has more kit as standard (you know especially Audi and Porsche with their options lists..)
Not sure how it would compare in the UK but in the US a fully specced out XC90 is coming in at 80k, the Cayenne hybrid is well over 100k. Most of the time I see the X5 and XC90's. We don't get a Q7 hybrid here so most just get the Etron
Some seriously flawed testing here. The range indicators can vary so much depending on how the cars have been driven previously. Would’ve made much more sense to test them properly
It’s STUPID to eliminate a PHEV based on driving range unless it’s just ridiculously low. The point of a PHEV is to allow the majority of short trips in EV mode. I feel a lower threshold should have been set based on market research, not just to kick out the lowest model.
Great test boys!! 😝 But Wait. The Q7 is the Cayenne is the Q7 is the Cayenne. Reminds me of GM back in the '90s when Pontiac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Chevy, and Cadillac were all the same car. Where is the Atlas? It's a Porsche too.
Atlas isn't a Porsche-based car at all, not even close; it's a big MQB car. Basically a big lifted Passat or even Golf. The Touareg was Cayenne-based but it's long, long dead and the Atlas was a much cheaper and less premium replacement.
