Great video! I ordered the snipers hide addition data book yesterday having never used or seen one and found this today. Now I will know how to use what I ordered! Thanks!
Wow! Great video! Really objective! But it would be better if the music could be a bit lower because there is a lot of good information and it is difficult to concentrate. Thank you for that video!
Serious question.. Other than perfecting your shooting fundamentals for practice. Im still failing to see the need for a data book if you have a high speed ballistics calculator like the Kestrel 5700 elite. Here is my point,, Lets say I shoot everyday for 1 year... Each day I will enter in completely different environmental conditions, which in turn will completely change my shot placement... How do you organize 365 days of completely different shots and conditions for future shots? Lets say Ive been shooting 4 years,,, Im going to suddenly know in the field to grab book 2 on day 287 what shot to take while a elk waits for me to look up my data.??? I would think I would just use my high speed Kestrel or even a accuracy first whiz wheel and use my instincts... Now dont get me wrong, I can see for maybe load development this would be useful. But other than me just being anal about shooting (which I am),, I am still failing to see the benefit of recording all this data for future engagements.. Please tell me,,, What am I failing to see.???
One of the three things you said about how to learn to use a data bbook isnt the truth,im self taught to use and understand alot about long range tactical shooting, firearms training and understand the use of firearms.im only 13 years old and get all my information from internet,tv,books, and shooting experience.
Great stuff! Thanks for doing this and taking the time to educate all of us less experienced data book users. Now I'm not running blind anymore.
Never even opened a data book before. This video makes it easy to understand how to utilize one.
