Description of I AM Yoga Nidra™ techniques used in this meditation include:
Deliberate Tension and Relaxation: This is a powerful way to quickly reset resting tension held in the body. This technique may reduce pulse rate and blood pressure when practiced safely (those with medical issues such as hypertension or glaucoma should not hold the breath when tensing the body). Reduced physiological tension may also reduce the tendency to respond with anxiety to external or internal triggers.
Sheetali Breath Pranayama: This ancient breath technique cools and calms the nervous system. The attenuation of breath gives the mind a natural point of concentration that facilitates an effortless transition into deeper meditative states. As the breath slows, the mind follows.
Energy Rotation - According to the ancient yogis, this technique stimulates communication between the left and right brain - creating more balancing brain and nervous system function. By stimulating the marma points, it clears electromagnetic energies and their corresponding impact on organs.

Yoga Nidra is an ancient sleep-based meditation technique that has the power to take you to the innermost, deepest levels of relaxation where your whole body and being is permeated by peace of mind and profound stillness. It unlocks the mystical, integrative powers of the subconscious, as well as your higher centers of consciousness, to effortlessly erase your most tenacious, self-destructive habits and behavior patterns. It is said by yogis that 45 minutes of Yoga Nidra is as restorative as three hours of sleep.
