THANK YOU for the enormous amount of work you’re putting into this No bad dogs-mission. I’m a journalist in television in Denmark, so I KNOW how many many hours goes behind a video like this. So just wanted you to know how grateful I am for your work 🙏🏻 I have a male Spanish water dog who’s 11 months old, and we both really benefitted from this balanced training. In Denmark the official kennel club excludes any owner who corrects their dog during any training - they only use positive training. So we’ve struggled a lot, because it hasn’t been working. You taught me (in one of your podcast episodes) that this breed (strong working breed, both herding, hunting and guarding) needs a strong leader and a leader with very clear boundaries and rules, and it has revolutionized our world. There’s still a lot of progress ahead, but this balanced approach makes it so much more fun - now it truly feels like training and not like work.
Whoops, wanted to keep it short. I could go on for a while. Anyway - thank you, Tom!
Hey Anne! Thanks so much! You won the collar! I am not sure Denmark will stop the shipping but if you want to try, DM me on IG @nobadogs!
@@tomdavisofficial wauw cool! I definitely want to try. DM’d you on IG, looking forward to the collar! 🐶
@@tomdavisofficial Hi Tom! Hope you got my message on IG - otherwise let me know!
Wanted to share something SUPER special!! While at work today, I was talking to a customer about her dog and she shared that they had just wrapped up some training .. I shared that I also love working my dog when I’m not working! We were talking about off-leash control and I mentioned that I was going to purchase a Dogtra unit soon for that reason specifically! She said she had one and loved it! I then mentioned that I was inspired by this dog trainer I follow that I really look up to! And she was like “Omg Tom Davis?! I love him! I just got his unit!” It was SO special! I just couldn’t believe I met a fellow No Bad Dog Army member in real life!! I won’t forget that moment. 🥰
I can't wait to grab a tshirt and help spread the word of no bad dogs
Communication is EVERYTHING. Let your dog know what they’re doing right. They’re not mind readers. No one will ever look at you as weak for letting your dog know it’s doing the request correctly. If they’re doing a good heel, TELL them so. If they’re not let them know and again when they get it. It’s a conversation and it’s ongoing. Dogs thrive on feedback just as humans do. It’s why our species work so well together.
It's important that if someone is thinking to purchase a GSD.They need to watch Tom's Videos. So many Shepherds put down and put in shelters.
It's so common to see these insecure-type reactive GSDs. It's always amazing to watch the transformation that can occur with them once simply given guidance and accountability! They have great potential with just the right obedience and handling.
Poor breeding has led to a lot more insecure gsds.
@@jizzypuff yep, sadly.
Hi! Dog behavioralist & trainer from Colorado here. Always impressed!! Not only are you EXCEPTIONAL WITH DOGS, you have OUTSTANDING PEOPLE SKILLS as well!! Thanks for putting out these videos.
Yikes….so many times it’s a GSD. He’s a beautiful dog. This owner certainly came to the right place. Good point about basic obedience must be in place before anything else can happen. Great video Tom!
Yeah maybe because it’s one of the most popular breeds in the world 🤷♂️
I love seeing you working with GSDs. They can be such a challenge at times because people often buy them as protection dogs, but without training to be protection dogs, they become the opposite.
I ended up taking in one GSD when his former owner got disgusted with the dog. His idea of protection training was to praise fhe dog when he barked at something... "Good Boy, PROTECT!!"
He then was flabbergasted when I called his dog's bluff, and walked right up to the fellow, all the while with him commanding "Protect! Protect!"
The dog had a bad sense of security, and cowered when his barking bluff was called.
I'd love to be entered in the giveaway, Thanks!
I know someone that has a female GSD and does the same thing...🙄🤦♀️The dog is a whiney, barking, suspicious mess. It's awful.
@@Erin_29 yeah, it's nuts. I have a GSD girl who I had to retire from being my public service dog because we had a traumatic experience with someone who tried to rob me at knifepoint. She did not have any bite work training on her, yet she took this guy down like she was trained for it. She somehow knew the knife could hurt, and definitely knew the guy was no good.
Bad thing after that, she then saw everyone getting too close to my chair as a threat and would growl.
I couldn't take the chance that the next one she thought she needed to protect me from would be a child with a toy.
I've been working with her two years and she still wants to eat any stranger that gets near.
My big boy GSD is calm, well balanced, and the biggest snuggle bug on earth. 😀
Always so cool to see the quick change in behavior with just a little direction from the handler. It never gets old.
Watching these videos is almost a daily ritual to help me learn more in my dog training career! Hopefully one day you can come to Canada I'd love to work with you and learn more
Thanks so much!
Hi, what part of Canada are you in? I'm in Quebec.

I love watching these videos. My border collie/Aussie doesn’t have behavioral problems (thank whatever god is up there) but they are super informative on everything else too. The information to the owners on how to walk with their dog completely changed our walks and the pulling. Loose leash 90 percent of the time. And we were at my family’s ranch and throughout the entire time there she was off leash and I would keep having her check in. Sure enough she figured out where the cows were in the last 30 minutes on the very last day. I called her once from a quarter mile away and she came all the way back. It was MY reward for hard work and consistency. I even caught it on video which I’m not ashamed to admit I go back and watch from time to time lol. Thanks Tom.
Badass!

Proof of how balanced, relationship-based training is the best way to communicate with dogs! Great work again!
Your videos are life-changing 🙏🏻 Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
I’m a novice trainer with low confidence with working with aggression/reactivity. Working with other balanced trainers as well as watching these videos really helps me out. Keep up the amazing work!
I thank Tom Davis and his training method. I’ve raised my 1.5 year old DDR German Shepherd using these methods since she was a pup. Whenever people compliment her behavior I always recommend them to check out this UA-cam channel. All props to you Mr. Davis!!
It was beautiful to see the first time he submitted on the leave it command. It was like a lifted weight for him. Good job buddy!
The best thing about Tom is explaining the handlers WHY their dog is like this. My 4 year old Labrador got bitten by a stray boxer, since then he barks and lunges at other dogs passing close. I got him to the point where he barks one time and then he leaves it. It’s still freaking me out and I know it’s my fault for being not confident enough. Your videos help me so much, thank you
So sorry your dog got bit. Glad to hear things are getting better
God bless you and those serving in the military
This guy is a Legend!! His advice is gold!
Love the breakdowns you give owners.
Lots of clarity as to why the dog and owner were not connecting. I have learned so much from these videos and I love the No Bad Dog club. Thank you!
At home taking notes from the master. Thanks TD!
Thanks for all of this info! Helps me with my psck if 3!
Love the way how Tom is so cool calm and collective as the dog Lunged at him while they were talking in the walkway
I enjoy your work with aggressive dogs. I need as much help as you can.
You can really tell how anxious he is and how much he just wants someone to lead him! Can’t wait to see where they end up.
In January 2020, I adopted a 2 year old mix transported here from a KY kill shelter…shepherd/doberman. I’ve had many dogs, but never a shepherd, and darn if, just like you said, shepherds have a totally different personality. I couldn’t believe it! You’re videos have been invaluable to me understanding him. Because of your detailed videos he and I are now the very best friends. I can’t thank you enough!!! Bless you!!
Love the channel. Binge watching all the episodes.
Great video I have a German shepherd myself and watching these videos help me alot with him. definitely going to subscribe to No Bad God Army
Got the notification and just had to click to watch the video. I’m still at work so will probably have to watch this again 😂
Great video. For anyone reading the commend: the membership subscription is totally worth it!
Your videos have helped me so much with my gsd, she is a completely different dog now!
Nala and I would love a dogtra e collar! Keep up the great videos Tom.
Watching these is a constant reminder of why we have to work them every single day, and you need to advocate for them.
That's the magic🙌
Love watching you help these dogs and owners. Very educational😁
Cool, calm, and collective. There's a reason you're in the top of your field. Thank you for sharing this information and helping others become good dog owners 🙏🏻
Awesome!

That difference in Drogo from beginning to end is insane! Such a good boy 🤩
You too Tom & owner 😎
This is a great video showing that it’s not just the dog but the owner that needs to change how to handle the dog and create a better relationship
Alway stay in control. Dogs know more than you can imagine.
I wish you would come to Michigan. My gsd had been threw a trainer who treated her like crap luckily I will love my girl even with her flaws
Yes Maybe he could do a group thing in Michigan!!
Great owner guarding demo
Using the e collar has helped allow me to have the confidence to have my dog off leash knowing I can get his attention back. We have worked hard to reduce his anxiety and reactive using your method. It has brought him back to his amazing self. I know we have a long way to go but I thank you for where he is at now.
I love seeing this videos they help a lot out
I love seeing you reading dog’s by their body language and helping them communicate in a more effective and safer manner. So many people want to just put bandaids over behavior and I love seeing you want to get to the root of the problem.
No bad dogs and no bad videos from the academy.
So much useful info I bet the owner felt so much better and well equipped to deal with Drago when he left
Great videos!! I had a reactive GSD for 9 years who we loved very much but he was always dog aggressive. Wish this channel was around back then.
3 year old German Shepherd, loves humans. Is a brat with other dogs and wants to throw hands with almost every dog. Have worked so hard on obedience and waiting for the “macro” change, it just hasn’t happened. But having control and means of communication when she gets amped has been a huge help.
once again you're helping me every day with my shepherd. I rescued him a month ago and he's made great progress but we still have a long way to go! thank you for sharing here and in the official club!! you're changing lives, tom!

Every time I watch one of your videos I feel even more empowered to give my dog a happy well balanced life (it’s working! ).. love from the uk 🇬🇧 xx
Great job Tom. Such a beautiful dog, just needed structure and leadership.
So pleased to see others are in the same boat with a fearful dog.
Great change seen in both the owner and the dog in this video!
I wish you could see how these videos changed my dog and I's relationship! It's amazing. I recommend everyone I know to your videos.
Gsd 😭 a lot of gsds have this issue, just realized my girl is like this, thankfully not much but still there this video helped a lot !!
Love watching a dog progress slowly over the course of the video.
I'm so glad people help their dogs and take them to experienced trainers rather than getting rid of them.
I get so pumped up and excited seeing all the transformations. Tom is truly the best, he knows he could take the dog and train and teach what is necessary to help the dog but instead he helps the owner and the dog!! Because sometimes it’s the owners that needs the training.
The honesty of the interactions are so helpful to determine next steps in helping the dog and owner change behaviors. This really helps us at home with our dog.
It's also amazing how you are able to transmit the knowledge to the owner. I'm sure both are going to be fine after your intervention.
Great video! I had to re-watch that lunge correction like 3 times it was so beautiful
I like the way you analyse the situation with the dog and the owner. Then you take time to explain what and why you are doing what you're doing. Easy to take what you do and say then do it myself.
I can't wait to see an update on this dog!
Would really like to see another video update on Druego Tom !!......The owner stepped up and the dog responded ..as always!!!....The CA kill shelters are OVERFLOWING with owner surrendered GSDs .....so many wouldn't be there if their owners would watch Tom and just train them!! They" re excellent dogs..smart and easy to train.....but like Tom says....they need strong ,clear LEADERSHIP !!...and need to know their owners are in charge...and have the situation under control.....otherwise they try to take charge ...and thats where the problems start....So many are just plain insecure!! Alot don"t get enuf exercise ..which leads to anxiety and excitement, frustration and stress...So glad Tom puts out alot of GSD videos...Keep telling folks to watch them !! Hopefully it will help people to train their dogs and not give up on them !!!!!
We're having trouble with my rescue GSD resource guarding, right now. We're working on it, but have only just recently gotten him. Thank you for these videos! They truly help! 💜
This is exactly how I trained my dog on the prong collar watching Tom's videos. I love Tom's passion for helping people teach their dogs.
These videos have helped me train my dog to be an awesome dog!
Absolute legend Tom...keep doing what you are doing brother...from the u.k..
Great video on dealing with fear agression.
Literally the best UA-cam trainer I've come across
I Love the way you work with the dogs and always explain every step to the human. Greetings from Germany😄
Beautiful German Shepherd.
This is all ways educational on what to do or what not to do
Yes, now the owner know how to handle drago, and drago learn to do the right decission. Great Tom, always awesome👍😊🙋🏻♀️
I just adopted a new GSD and this video was very helpful! Especially the part where you talk about the heel/break/throw a toy! My new dog is a toy monster and I using toys as a break reward is a great idea.
🥰 good luck moving forward Drogo!
I am so happy that you are doing longer videos that are focusing on retraining owners to help their dogs be non-reactive dogs. You give so much quality information even with these short videos as well. Thank you.
Great video! Thanks for help with Fletcher.
love to see this kind of progress!
love your videos just found them trying to work with my mastif buddy.
Your calm demeanor is always impressive!
I need the Tom Davis 280C !!! Been watching your videos since wayy back when you first started!! INCREDIBLY educational!!
These are great for helping me to train my GSD puppy! Thanks for the videos
These videos are helpful in so many ways. Each time, there's a reminder of how to find an improvement.
Love the work as always. Keep it up man
Amazing! Love watching these dogs become better dogs and their people better people for their dogs!
Your videos are what helps me do my job as a vet tech watching and helping owners with their anxious/ insecure dogs.
I don’t know why but when you break it down it makes so much sense and just clicks. Can’t wait to apply this with my dog!
Well done on educating about the baskerville muzzle! Too many people use them for dogs that are a major bite risk.
Huge fan. My go to channel for help training.
Love your videos! We have a rescue who would so benefit from an e collar.
Amazing as always Tom!
love the content. Keep saving doggos everywhere!
I love seeing how their mind changes so fast!!! You’re saving these dogs
Thanks for sharing this.
I like how you pointed out suppressing behavior. It is the go to for R+ (the dog will be worse because of corrections in the long run). I’m a balance trainer with 15 years experience and have NEVER seen a dog be anything but better and calmer.
Basic obedience is the mandatory foundation for a dog, among other things. Good job ! :D
Watching all your videos learning so much
Your videos are the most helpful thing for me as a new owner with a German Shepard dog. It has changed my perspective of tools and seeing the ways they can help enhance my training. Can’t thank you enough !!
The way you can relate to the dogs owners and explain why their dogs do what they do and help the owners learn is incredible!
