Thank you. Paul Talbot-Greaves is one of my favourite watercolourists. The added bonus is that he paints the views of my childhood. Beautiful part of the country.
I really like your commentary for this artist. Drawing attention to such beautiful details. Just started watercolor painting and have enjoyed your tutorials so much.
Hi, Liron, just finished a two day watercolour and acrylic workshop with him live in Yorkshire. He uses a matt medium to render the paint more or less transparent. Water is used to clean the brushes between colours as water is not used in acrylic to create transparency. Water damages the paint and it loses its ability to harden.
Hi Liron! Still here enjoying ur work/content. All the way from Missouri! Thank u I really enjoyed this artist u spotlighted in this episode, I will pursue more information & work regarding him. I heard u mention in a previous episode that it gets challenging finding watercolor painters to keep highlighting. I have one to recommend & since u turned me on to Nicholas Lopez, I think u too will enjoy his work. Paul Ching-Bor Stay well! Thanks again 🥳
Paul also uses gouache to create strong highlights and textures such as moss on the stone walls. I wish the countryside here was as interesting as Yorkshire, but that makes the challenge to paint it well greater!
Beautiful paintings. Natural landscapes are less complex but not necessarily easier. You made a point about larger size paintings, Liron. I find, and maybe others do also, that I have less control over the paint and brush marks. Perhaps it's just a question of what you're used to.
They indicate the ewe has been served by a ram. He wears something raddle with waxy paint inside which leaves a mark on the ewe once he has done his business.
I've done several of Paul's workshops. They're inspirational and enlightening. I'd say his workshops got me back on track with my painting.

He's the only reason I felt I could watercolor after I tried his instructional books!
I feel like I can almost hear the birds singing in some of these. Very beautiful work.

The wall and sheep specialist!
Thank you for showing his work! I am especially taken by the wire fencing. I almost missed it! He is a master at his stones and colours.
The pennine's are a hill area in Yorkshire, I live on this area, its great to paint on,
Excellent review, Liron. Many thanks for this video (among the rest) and for sharing your enthusiasm.

Very good review of this artist. Just one comment though, the link to his website in your description takes you to a stonemason, not the artist.
the blue blobs are sprayed on the sheep to say its there sheep
