I like the chemistry between Angrboda and Atreus. She teases him a bit. Kind of like what we saw with Faye and Kratos.

Great to have you back with more GoW, Tofu. It's nice to see someone really appreciate the more low key, character-centric nature of this section, though I'm sorry to hear some of the darker side of things there hit so close to home.
I don't get why people watch her gaming videos. The playthroughs are never finished and the gameplay is bad compared to so many other channels. I gave it a try on many, I would just like to understand, I mean no disrespect. Is it just because she is pretty?
@@Jim-yr9zl The hell are you talking about? She's finished almost every single playthrough she's done, and the gameplay's consistently above average for a Let's Player. I'd love if she went back to some of the unfinished series too, but you can't just make technical difficulties disappear or force people to love something they're just not that into. If she's not for you, there's a million other Let's Players out there, I suggest you give them a look rather than stick around and whine.
And no, I don't watch her just because she's pretty.
@@_Erudito_ I am not whining. I genuinely asked a question looking for insight. "I just wanted to understand and mean no disrespect" was my exact phrasing so I can perhaps get into her channel more. And the defensive nature and the way you answered gave all the insight I needed. I now understand her fan base, we can leave it at that. With that said, looking at all the playthroughs in the past year, you can count how many she finished compared to how many she started for yourself.
@@Jim-yr9zl You can't come to me with "respect" after spending the rest of your comment being disrespectful and not expect me to call it as I see it. As far as completion rates go, last year she finished Batman, she's about one episode away from finishing TLOU, and GOW's in full swing. HFW's open world nature made it a better fit for streaming, so it was moved to Twitch, not abandoned. Seems like she's doing just fine.

Angrboda believes those prophecies to be infallible, so when Grýla says Loki will be too busy mourning his father to remember her, it really hits her hard.
I've noticed that a lot of the people that have the most emotional reactions to the story are people who have similar stories of their own. Things relating to family, loss, things that this story touches on. And that's why I think this game's story is so effective. It can make people relate to it.
To skip a rock, instead of thinking of it as "throwing a rock" it's more like "flinging a plate" so that it lands flat-side on the surface

What nobody seems to know is that Kratos has already died to Thor. Thor rezzed him with the fake game over screen. So the entire game is everybody running around trying to prevent something that already happened. Nobody in game knows this, of course, but its a neat little trick: everything is the future, until it is the past.

I found this lets play on accident, thanks to algorithm. I don't have time or the rig to play games anymore, and a lot of lets players that I've tried to watch just feel kind of obnoxious. So I'm really happy I found this, I really appreciate your sincerity, and just having a chance to see some plot heavy games. Thank you. I can hardly wait for the next part.

I don't think Freya changed her mind because Atreus turned into a bear, I think it was more the fact that after he did so, Kratos, without even hesitating, put himself in harms way and tried to save Freya's life, even after she had just tried to kill him moments ago. It's when he says "She was our friend!" that she really starts to re-think her actions. Kratos has so few friends that to be called one carries a lot of weight. In that moment, she finds it so hard to hate someone who clearly cares for her so much.

Fun Fact: Angrboda is actually the mother of Loki's children in actual Norse mythology. Not that it matters too much because God of War always takes liberties with myths and legends.
To be fair though...taking liberties with myths and legends is actually how myths and legends where passed on for most of human society
@@appropriate25 In fact the Norse myths were not written down until at least a few centuries of those people living under christian rule. They were being passed down by word of mouth alone. Every generation learning them with whatever the previous one misremembered about the stories, or what details the added in to spice-up the story.

Welcome to Oregon(soon 😃). Portland isn’t what the mainstream media or those with a personal political agenda make it out to be. It’s a great city. I don’t know where your moving from BUT two small perks of Oregon is there is no sales tax and you don’t have to pump your own gas.
Here is a tip for the summertime. EVERYONE goes to the beach in Seaside. And while it is nice it gets very crowded and traffic is nuts. Instead I recommended going just a little farther south to Manzanita. It’s a wonderful little town. I had no idea about it until I met my wife and her family lives near there. It also happens to be the town Life is Strange is based on. There is a scenic stop where the lighthouse in the game is. Also farther south is Tillimook where you can take a tour of the cheese factory and get the best fresh ice cream.

I highly recommend playing the Batman Arkham games. It's one of the best and most comic accurate depictions of Batman as well as having incredible stories to tell true then you can learn more information about Batman and his villains.

Talking about sleeping helping calm emotions is so true. My sister is letting her emotionally abusive ex move back in with her and my niece. They may or may not be back together. I was sooo upset. Like, bawling in the middle of the Costco because that's where she told me over the phone. I had SOOO many words for her, like texting paragraphs but stopped myself from sending because I didn't want to say something that would damage our relationship, so I was going to go NC for a while until I'm less upset about her choices. Which is what I told her this morning after sleeping on it.
