Great looking layout. I like the roundhouse alot. I have the Colorado Midland Terminal 14 stall roundhouse which is to heavy and awkward to lift once it was assembled in Ho scale. I can only imagine how heavy your roundhouse is in O scale. Great scenery and buildings you captured of that area. It looks like you can step back in time when you see your layout. Be safe and keep modeling.👍🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂
Great layout Keith, thank you for sharing and explaining all the details of operation and thoughts behind it. It seems, that you and I are nearly in the same "buisness", exept that I`m modling in 1:22,5 scale and my laout is outside in the garden. But, when we meet for an opartion day we have a switching list too, as you call it. We have batteriepowered locos with loading thru the waterhatch. And we have a system to radiocontrol all engines. My prototype is the C&Sng of thirties. We a working on several C&S locos from scratch , I do No6 and 68 my friend No10 and 69. It`s along time projet. In the meantime I use heaviely freelance modified LGB and Bachmann Locos beside some other scratchbuild locos. We use scratchbuild freightcars during our operation sessions. Greetings from Germany, sorry for the mistakes in my English. Andreas
If I can make my flat Texas coast layout look half as appealing as a layout as beautiful as this with the terrain I’d be satisfied. This is just awesome
Hay Keef : Inna word; Mate .... EXCELLENT ! Despite your * Lots More Still To Do; * you have achieved so much since my visit in 2017 ! Best wishes for your current MMR program .... WELL deserved recignition; Ou Maat ! Regards / Johnny
Great layout...luv the lumber stand...one question...what was the process you used to lay and finish your roads? I liked the finish near the local mailman. Cheers for streaming.
Sorry for my late reply. Thanks for your comments. I used sanding grout to form my roads. I first lay down children play sand and wet it down with wet water and apply carpenters glue. Once set up, the surface is misted with a fine spray to once again wet the surface. I apply the grout and it absorbs the moisture. I use a car to make ruts.
thanks for the tour keith ! im going dead rail also, so the charge plugs under the water hatch is great, no removing the battery or handling the loco to charge. i was thinking of doing bluerail, especially since soundtraxx just came out with their bluenami. have you tried the ipad or cell phone loco controls? cant decide whether to cvp airwire or ios? i do like turning a knob vs touchscreen. would like to hear your opinion
Sorry for the late reply. I have recently installed a Blunami decoder into a friend's Sn3 loco and added battery power. It's outstanding and using the iPad to make all the relevant settings is so simple and easy. I highly recommend it.
Great tour of a superb railroad. Thanks Keith❕I really like the battery operated loco concept and from other video's they run like a fine Swiss watch. The cool thing is that when you service your locomotives, you actually service them with takes real time. For my money, that would just add to the realism. How long does a charge last?
Just lovely. Thanks for the tour!
Beautiful layout, nicely planned & detailed! Amazing job! New subscriber 😊

Beautiful Layout , I must Say . Outstanding craftsmanship and superb presentation
Thanks For sharing ..
Thank you very much!
beautiful detail
A very nice video and layout. I have plans to expand my own HO scale layout, though I don't think it will be quite as large as yours.
I just purchased one of those Como roundhouse. I had no idea how heavy that kit was

Hi David, Sorry for the late reply. The batteries last 4 hours and I usually service the locos once they have completed the days work.
😊
