Pascal Siakam’s development really is a 1 of 1. Not a single person saw him turning into an All-NBA caliber player. His scoring has got so elite man it’s crazy
he’s got that rare work ethic and exceeded all expectations
I think the problem with Ben Simmons is that he’s suffering from an anxiety disorder caused by the pressures of being the #1 pick and having to perform in the playoffs. His continued presence in the NBA is doing nothing good for his mental health. He has to get serious psychological help, and perhaps may need to retire.
He could’ve made an excuse because lost confidence in himself and kept doubling down on the made up excuse
I think he is just a bad player
While I would not be surprised if he suffers from some sort of anxiety, I doubt it has something to do with where he was drafted but his own post-season play.
In the end, Ben killed his own career. He outright has refused to learn to shoot, being offered the opportunity by some of the best shooting coaches. He has been quoted by several sources as having said "he does not need to learn how to shoot."

This was probably the draft that really showed how far the international game has gone how global the game had progressed as players likes Simmons, Hield, Poetl who came from nontraditional basketball markets were at the forefront but that being said, it also shows how bad international scouting and can be as many of those selected would bust out pretty spectacularly (Bender, Yabusele)

NBA Champ Pascal is the best player in this class. Not only is he an amazing scorer and playmaker on offence but his defence is high level as well and is a very underappreciated part of his game. He's also the most decorated player in his class.
I'm a Raptors fan. there is a solid case to put him at number 1 but with people like Jamal Murray, and Sabonis along with Brown and Dejounte it's safe to say he would be a top 5 or 6 pick in a redraft.

Craziest thing about Malachi Richardson- he got drafted during my graduation year, and my girlfriend at the time was obsessed w him and thought he’d be a star. I remember posting my graduation cap with Malachi on it on twitter and getting a follow back. 😂 she was wrong about his career but

The Cavs 2013 draft is on par with Phoenix in 2016. Anthony Bennett first overall, then Sergey Karasev at 19 over Mason Plumlee, Rudy Gobert, Reggie Bullock, Andre Roberson, and Tim Hardaway Jr. Then we had a good pick at 31, Allen Crabbe, probably the best second rounder in the draft! …who we traded for Carrick Felix. Yuck.

If Ben Simmons had been good at jump shots and 3-point shots, he could have truly become a superstar player.
He lacked passion and motivation for basketball, but it is true that the Sixers were able to return to being a powerhouse team thanks to him.
The 2016 NBA Draft didn't produce any superstar players who would be inducted into the Hall of Fame after retirement, but it wasn't the worst draft ever.
I think jb might have a shot if he wins a ring in Boston

Low-key, if BI and Ben were swapped, I think both are in better places. BI as the second star along side Embiid for years, and Simmons ultimately ending up in NOLA to blossom out of sight.

Kris Dunn when given the ball and minutes in Chicago did his thing During the 2017/ 2018 even tho he lacked a Consistent jump shot., Him and Niko built a Nice chemistry the bulls went on a nice 7 game winning streak that season and he hit some game winning shots even the tho roster was YOUNG poorly constructed and the Coach was trash.The dunk where he fell on his face & Zach Lavine coming back off the injury took the ball out of Dunns hands that made him null and void along with having a trash head coach In Fred Hoiberg and then they hired an even worse coach in Jim Boylen and as you stated the drafting of Coby White it was a wrap.
