This story brings me tears of joy every time I hear it. I am absolutely pummeled with awe. Humans supporting humans is so wonderful, and sadly so rare it seems.
I have very vivid memories of this point in time. The 1980s in the UK was a difficult but inspirational decade where society fought back. Maybe battles were lost, but great gains were made. Great film. Shame the british film industry is not better appreciated!
Fantastic film, very moving as well poor Mark only lived till 26 but in such a short life his actions along with the others progressed the rights of the LBGTQ community to the equality it is today. Along with the NUM of course.
I love these intelligent, moral people and OMG HE SAID THE WORD PATHOS!!! -After living in a world of uneducated politicians and leaders and day to day joes, it makes me a little too excited when I hear someone use a word most likely taught to them in school-
I was 14 at this time, terrifying time, I wanted to be me, but went to roman catholic school. I ended up being married 2 kids who I adore and they adore me and now my husband but I didn't come out until I was 37. I got custody of kids the other one was horrible and scary. Men can be abused as was I and my eldest kid was too, the younger escaped the worst of it, both my son has COMPLEX PTSD and myself the PTSD and EUPD. However my Bipolar has been with me since I can remeber. We need to start getting our voices again. So much more... not just online... physically makes governments more worried if it is a proper march. People shouldn't be afraid of their government governments should be afraid of their people.
The third speaker could be talking about conditions in the United States today, where the government is doing everything it can to harm people of little means.
A key part of our history. We, the working class, must make sure this history is captured.
Solidarity for ever
A profound and poignant portrayal of how bridges can be build and we can grow and evolve together.A really wonderful film which moved me deeply
