The "oddities" on how some projects turned out like the headboard and the dining room table legs..fantastic. And the black accent of the appliances in the laundry room and the bathroom are great. The look good with stained wood etc. I was not totally a black accent or appliances person but now it's growing on me. You two are great and real hoot to watch. I hope Jaimie and Eric do more like this like you and Steph have done! 😊

Hmmm.... In the past, when I have a slippery wooden ramp, I've thrown down a few shingles for traction. Dark colors make ice and snow melt more quickly and when the shingles wear out, it's easy to rip them up and replace them.... tho it's usually at least 5 years before that gravelly finish is too far gone.

With the ramp to the shed I would probably grab the circular saw and cut some tread lines across the decking horizontally or maybe even checker-plate style. The shower job was excellent particularly for anyone doing a place up to sell and should last well with a little loving maintenance along the way. Carport was top notch. As long as the four legs on the table match who cares. I agree, a harder wood on the stairs is a must. I had Baltic Pine flooring in my hallway and even though that was quite strong with 3 coats of 2pack Poly it still marked way more easily than the Tasmanian Oak I had elsewhere. BTW Loved the garden beds, the last thing you would've wanted to do was use treated pine.

** So... Jay! We just love your wife.. the two of you playing off each other.. love it. I also love that giant porch. that is a game changer in any house. Your projects all look good on this end. You think you are a carpenter etc. but in reality Jay, you are an Artist.. Remember that when you look at all the beautiful things you have created and the way it makes you feel.. That is what Art does. You got that in you and with your wife the two of you create some really really beautiful things together. I would love to see something like flower planters or small raised beds with logo 'Jay's Way' in the corner. We sure would buy them bacuase we know your a quality craftsman.. deck boxes for patio cushions.. trellises.. on & on. Ok off subject and didn't even finish watching the video yet hahaha .. Just one comment from a long time viewer. Did Ray ever finish his kitchen and if so, do you think he would be willing to do a video showing it?
Love the projects, keep them coming.

    Hey you two❤
the yellowing on the flag is bleed thru from the tannin in the wood especially in the knots.
If you paint them with zinnser B-I-N primer it should stop it coming back again.
everything looks so great I love your channel so much. The reality of learning and modifying as you go is so relatable. Keep going you’re doing amazing x.
    We love Steph too 😍

I know Erik wants to do something similar, but I don’t think it matters. And if he’s reading this comment, I’d love to know if he still likes the brick behind his cooktop. That decision always seemed rushed.
This is a great project(s) review!

I think you need an out door movie theater by the fire pit. Now that the weather is cool off it could be a fun family space.
