Best for school projects, it works but less backup or if you recharge the battery first time with high current (ampere) it can more backup 😊
It will work with 2 small changes.
1. Use potassium chloride or potassium hydroxide as electrolyte.
2. Use a carbon Cathode
Greetings AKG TECH, here in your video you made an electrolytic capacitor. Your capacitor would be close to 1 or 1.5 farad. Yes you can power up a small circuit and a small motor. Now depending how much current you draw from the motor, you should be good for a few hours to a week + before recharging your capacitor. i issue a warning on your capacitor, do not discharge your capacitor without a resistor because you will damage the copper foil inside. Also do not short circuit your capacitor as it may explode.

do not use tissue, you need an isolating material like paper or tape
I'm pretty sure the salt water will short circuit the "battery" because salt water is conductive also batterys usually use lithium and salt water does not work as a replacement

For demonstrating electrical for generation for children I would recommend the toy, 'motors and generators' by thames and cosmos. Its overpriced but still worth the money. Even nuclear power stations use the same method.
